Good evening at all.
I play with the USA. The problem arose after having conquered the territories of the allies and the axis(no puppies), leaving the USSR, Mongolia, Sinkiang, Afghanistan, Portugal, the Republic of Spain, Vichy France, South Africa, Liberia as the only nations.
Therefore, I access the game, load the save but after a few seconds after starting the game crashes.
Game version is 4.02 with all expansions installed(steam full collection).
I replaced the original exe with the forum exe LAA, but it still crashes the same way as before.
However if I start another game, the game doesn't crash.

Do you have mods installed? No
Steps to recreate error
1) Launcher or run the exe as administrator or no.
2) Single player
3) Choose USA as country
4) Loading
5) Speed setting 1x
6) Crash after a few seconds
Help me!

Moved to the main forum for a wider audience.

No the last save from which I start the game is September 20, 1945 at 9.00.

I have now made an attempt, lowering the scrolling speed of the map and the crash has delayed a bit in arriving.

This is because I noticed that if I scroll the map quickly it crashes.

Sounds like a memory error - your save is so bloated that your PC has very little RAM available. HoI3 saves get bigger and bigger the more you play but I've never encountered this specific problem before. Sorry I can't help further.

MIght be linked to your cache
Did you try to clean both caches ? Not only the one in your user folder ?
The others can be found in the game folders themselves... if I remember correctly, there is one in the HoI3 folders tree and probably a 3rd one in the TFH tree
Deleting their content like you do for the user folder does help to make sure you a get a true clean restart

If I get crashes I often delete my older saves. Seems to help. My most frequent crash reason appears to be when there are battles involving carriers or carrier aircraft. Also had a wierd one when it crashed constantly during an air unit rebasing. I just reloaded before the moves.

The available RAM is this:
Memory: 8192MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 8116MB RAM

@Paglia: What folder path are you referring to?

/Hoi3/map/cache OR /Hoi3/TFH/map/cache

AND

/USER (...) /Hoi3/map/cache (or something similar, I didnt look at it recently)
