The game is slowing down the computer completely.

So, ran into this same problem after purchasing a Chapter IV. Computer - Ryzen 5900x, RTX3070, 32GB RAM, SSD. Windows version - 24H2. Choosing Vulkan as a renderer SUPPOSED to help, but the game slows down a lot.

Vulkan is always going to be somewhat slower than DirectX 11. But are you saying it was also slow under DX11?

If it's accurate, it's not the game that's slowing down, it's the game that just completely freezes on startup. On the advice of the forum switched to Vulkan - the game started, but seriously slowed down.

Some affected users have definitely seen that help them with this issue. I'd suggest you look at this step first!

AND make sure your Nvidia driver is the latest, March 2025 at present.

The CK3 devs are aware of the issue of course, but I don't know whether it is thought possible to change the game to work around the Windows 11 bugs.
