Hard difficulty it will be, was decided a while ago, you must have missed that, and I will also strip the release rule - too much people opposing, so I guess there shouldn't be problems for you even if you find our so favourite pagan bashing a bit limited..;)

Frankly I hate to pagan bash, but it is a necessary part of life for any Christian border country. I wish, rather, that a player could somehow play a nation like the Cumans or other heathen states. However... that is not possible. Heathen bashing is not very fun unless the heathens can truly fight back (Mongols and in some cases the Cumans or Fatimids).

Well, thanks for the update, I suppose I did miss the change to Hard difficulty. I don't really have any other problems with the rules.

By the way, I will be there from the looks.
I just installed an old 32Mb Riva TNT2..:)
CK should run well with it and AMD Sempron 2600/512Mb RAM.

Good news indeed :) It would be really nice to kick off this game on sunday.

Forcing a player to release a kingdom that he has fought for and has gained completely legitimately is completely unfair.

That is 100% true. But let's think ahead. If this was just a CK game it would be fine, since it begins and ends in CK. But how weird and unbalanced will not the EU2 game be if several players starts with extra chunks of land across Africa and the ME?

Ah well, since binT have dropped that particular rule I might as well shut up about it now :D

Could perhaps make a rule where one is not allowed to possess more than one kingdom title. This way any dukes or counts that breaks away in far away areas, wouldn't seek vassalship once they were left.

That simply will not work. That would limit people so incredibly much that it would be hardly worth playing the CK part of this game. Far away dukes will be far too difficult to maintain anyway. Trust me, far away holdings are more trouble than they are worth in CK. They can't really help defend the rest of your country (troops in Persia don't really give Hungary much benefit until very late in wars and by that time it is usually already decided, not to mention the transportation costs). Multiple kingdom titles are nearly a given in any CK MP game. For example, by the end, Wales will probably hold at least Wales and Ireland kingdom titles. Meanwhile, any Iberian power will probably hold 2 titles or more (Castille, Leon, Aragon, Navarra, Spanish Galicia, Portugal, plenty of titles there).

I pretty much agree with Sterk at least in this one..:D

We already have enough rules limiting expansion, I think, at least we have quite much more than players in first game had, so let's try it and hope that it will be a bit better this time.
To this I would like to point out that even if not so limited, the first GG or MTT was nevertheless very interesting and I hope that our rulings only increase this gameplay worth in 2nd GG..:)

Well, I assume that Grim's suggestion would apply to "faraway" king titles and not those in, for example, Iberia. Still, like binTravkin, I think we should simply stick to the current rules and try them out. If the game becomes unbalanced, we can always make appropriate changes later.

Final rules coming this eve..;)

And where are they?

And where are they?
Quote, they're up!

About time, I noticed I haven't changed the time to 11EST 18GMT, I will now do it, so be alerted. It wont be bad if we come earlier either..:)

About some countries - I suspect some of the realms have not been updated, so don't worry if you find a '?' next to yourself in first post. Once we play 1st session, I'll update it properly.

If Goose wants to stay in Apulia I will play Pereyaslavl. Although I would love to play Italy I think that a Russian player is needed more. And I have no problem with being that.
Good to hear that.

Goose said, he'd be taking Kiev IIRC.

Yes, meeting on Vnet in 30 minutes, can contact me on ICQ.

30 minutes! Wtf? You posted 18:00 GMT, not 16:00 GMT!

Or do you just mean to test if it works?

I believe the 1800 GMT was a mess up in time conversion. It actually should be 1600 GMT. You might want to change that IMMEDIATELY, bin. My guess is that perhaps bin calculated from CST, but instead of subtracting an hour from the time difference from GMT, he added one, which would account for the 2 hour difference.
