Got the same problem again, can't connect to V-net... I think I'm calling it quits for tonight, at least. No point in playing with this much router trouble, especially after that God-damn peace with Sweden...

You can join by IP, ask Lurken in ICQ for his IP and then use Internet->Join to join.

Nah, I have 'regular' connection problems too so it won't help, I'm afraid. There's something fishy with the router and/or my ISP that I must sort out before trying to play MP again.

Besides, it wasn't very fun. Twice screwed by the AI when it run Denmark for me, and then I accidentally accepted a peace offer(popped up as I was about to click a province), relinquishing two of my most important claims.

Guys, I'm at war and we've reached the session endtime, please can we end?!

Ok, we should really end. It's late already.

Huh, that was one helluva session!:)

I am sorry Sterk. I forgot that you were at war. It was my fault, I would have remembered it. You can consider the loan as a gift. But good game guys.

OK, I have spent a few hours troubleshooting and fixing my network, so I should be good to go for next session. However, if no one objects I'd like to make a switch, since Denmark proved to be more of a challenge than expected and we do have a number of unfilled spots. Any kingdom, or duchy, will do although I'd prefer something with a bit more ooomph than Denmark.

I'll await the update first though before making any suggestion, so I can see wether you guys trashed half of Europe in my absence... ;)

Denmark is quit dead now...so what about Sweden?

That was fast! :D

I suppose Sweden would do, but I'd like to get an impression of the geopolitical situation before making up my mind.

Well...we are lacking a power in the west, France or England or such.

And perhaps Georgia would be nice to have around. And in the North to aid/backstab me and Sterk and bin.

Yeah, I was supposed to be that northern player. Still, if Drachenfire and BurningEGO doesn't show up we might be more in need of a western player.

What happened in-game during the last session? Any screenies? I recall that Sterk was just about to start a war against binT over Galich, and I was getting my butt kicked by Sweden.

I negotiated a peace between sterk and bin. Where Sterk got Kiev. Otherwise I would have DoWed Sterk. And the first crusade is now hot...say bye bye to baltic pagans.

Ouch. The war must've went quite well for him.

Too bad I missed the Baltic pagan-race though :( What happened to Denmark? And Leon?

Yes. It went very well for him, that is why I intervined. Otherwise Sterk would have gotten in one swoop the three of the richest provs in Rus. Now he got one.

Then I believe a congratulations on a job well done is in order :D I thought it would've end up the other way, considering how big binT had become.

Yup, and according to bin he had bad luck with some attrition bugs. And that Hungery joined in against him together with Sterk.

Did Hungary make any gains?

It didn't make any gains, but seeing how my 10k army went down to 1k in one month and were not redraftable (I only managed to scrap some 3k from all of my territory), their 4k-6k troops made quite a difference.
Also, when I tried to siege back Galich from Hungary my army there went from 3k to 1k again, and there was only the siege attrition (which was 2.0) that time.

To be honest, after that vaporizing I was about to quit the game, I just dont feel like having almost 30k troops and then suddenly 6k due to some bug, while my enemy still has ~10k, which was the normal amount after he lost 2 major battles and had some attrition. That single bug lost me the war which I had already won by then.
If this continues I will need 4 times the resources I have to put up any reasonable fight.
