You have translated every single name of the units.
We may translate events and the short history ( I'm talking about the screen where you choose the nation ).
I can do it for italian. Somebody can extract the text and post it, so the single users can check the history related to their country and attempt to translate the text.

So, should we do it? :D :D

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

But, wait, there isn´t a proper thread for this.

*Walks of and sods, are finally found having taken cyanide, then shot myself through the mouth while sitting on a sofa with my girlfriend*

Oh my god, they killed...

Anyway, about translating the mod. I think it may be better to wait until the mod leaves beta before starting such a huge job, as the texts during beta will probably still change quite a bit. Some sections have no texts at all yet.

Gwalcmai's got the right of it, laguage translations can come when v1.0 (non-beta) is out.

Zucker, poor guy. He dies, and dies. Only to come back, to die again.

Agreed - and I shan't wait for a foreign language edition of a version of TGW to be done before releasing individual versions of the mod. I envisage this working thus:

- I release vx.xx.
- Someone takes vx.xx, translates whatever parts of it.
- Person sends me foreign language files of vx.xx.
- I overlay foreign language files over the standard version.
- I upload a foreign language version of vx.xx.

By the way, ZGB - find more inventive ways of mutilating yourself. If Trey Parker and Matt Stone can, then I'm sure you can too. :)

:D Ops I haven't noticed it was still in beta test :D.
Well, anyway I think I am the only italian here on these boards, so I must do the job in any case :D.
For the web space needed for files, I think there is no problem, since many italian sites upload non-official translations of other videogames.

Well the only files you'd need to change would be text files, surely? :)

Oh, well. Just in case I am not working hard enough on this MOD, I´ll take swedish if it ever comes up, where shall I begin? Shall I post it here?

I shouldn't think posting it here will be necessary seeing as the only person who will understand it will be you ;)

Eh? So what shall I do with my translation once I have it?

Right then first update on swedish progress:

Countries
Names for infantry techs.

Going to work on the rest of the techs tomorrow, wait, it is sunday here, DAMN!

I am not going to make descriptions yet, since they take much more work, I am a little lazy :)

Well if you teach me swedish, I could appreciate.

Let's start with some basics:

English: "The glass is on the table".
Italian: "Il bicchiere è sul tavolo" ( coming soon, when I find the fonetic tables on my dictionary, the way how you say it  ).

Fix division names for Italy too, for what I have seen, there are some errors.

There is a glass on the table=Det står ett glas på bordet.

Mind you, swedish is extremely difficult to learn, most adults that try ends up with a understandable, but not more than that swedish.

I thought that was your area?

I speak swedish, english and some german, that´s all.

Oh, and I have a useful phrase in spanish to:

Quiero un aerostato para comer, yo tengo un piano del cola en mi sombrero :D
