Greetings everyone!

A couple of years ago the possibility to obtain the Imperator Unit pack was removed. It was previously given to all owners of both Imperator: Rome and Europa Universalis IV, but due to technical limitations we are no longer able to distribute it using that model.

Following feedback in recent days where many of you expressed a wanting for the unit pack, we decided to simply distribute it for free to everyone that owns EU4 on Steam.

That's good news, but here's a question I've asked before and elsewhere:

The old unit packs previously held skins only for several tiers (like for Netherlands and England in "Great Nations" pack or T-1 with "Hundred years war" pack) and T-2, T-3 and T-4 included in "Domination" DLC for Burgundy) while the new, most recent ones, cover all tiers of units.

So the question is: will these old packs be updated and merged together so we would could have all tiers covered for all available nations in a single pack per region/DLC?

Fantastic, I've wanted this pack to be available for a while. I had actually purchased Imperator Rome on the day of release but had refunded before I heard of it.

Its nice that its free too!

Welp, there goes my "imperator was the most expensive unit pack I've ever bought" joke.

Is the T1 model accurate to the twilight years of the Byzantine troops? Just out of curiosity. I was wondering about this the other day and I just wanted to know.

i was thinking the t1 unit would never be seen as i didnt think anyone would be forming Rome before tech 12 but then the new achievement for Rome before 1500 exists.

The helmet is pure fantasy, but the brigandine with straps and chainmail is actually somewhat close. Scaled armour would be more fitting, but I think seeing a more western-style riveted brigandine in a city so important for trade is not something unimaginable I suppose. Overall the original Purple Phoenix T1 is much closer to what the late medieval armour looked in Byzantium though.

Byzantium uses the unit models too

Yeah that's what I figured. I... don't have the time to make all these mods again lol

This is exciting news for those of us who missed out on it but I am unsure as to where to find and download the Imperator Unit Pack, I can't find it under the EU4 Steam DLC listing. I can see it was updated on SteamDB 14 hours ago but don't see a way to actually install it, though I could certainly have missed something.
