Its been a long while since last DLC, we know the devs are back from holidays because we hear from them constantly at Tinto Talks.

And precisely from Tinto Talks it sounds like they are full on all hands on deck working A LOT on EU5.

I mean just look at Tinto Maps and the amount of work int here just on feedback. Does not sound like they are spending time on EU4. At least the team leads.

Maybe they have two junior content designers doing some small goodbye free patch/DLC for EU4 with missions for a handful of nations that will be announce along EU5 to give something to play with until release...but yeah its clear that all the top people dont have time to work on EU4 and are all on project ceasar.

We come to you with a most Fars-ical question.

This pigmentally embattled nation has long sparked debate among our community, owing to the many iterations its colour has undergone throughout the years. There’s even an in-game event (“Abuse of Power”) which allows the player to change Fars’ colour on the map by means of a despotic ruler. Colours which have represented Fars over the years include:

#color = { 232 206 1 } - Canary Yellow
#color = { 254 197 229 } - Pink Lemonade
#color = { 100 255 200 } - Bright Mint Green
#color = { 255 248 231 } - Cream
#color = { 232 206 255 } - Lavender

But we want to settle this once and for all, and have been asked to poll the community on the question: what colour should represent Fars on EUIV’s map?

Options are as displayed in the GIF below:

(Unfortunately at this point in time, Rainbow Fars and a Fars that changes colour each time you load the game are off the table.)

I guess this count?

I doubt colonial nations will ever receive contents. If they do receive contents that will mean a complete rework of the colonisation system, but that will most likely never happen as a better colonisation system already in the work in Project Ceasar.

My current estimate of EU4 lifespan is until around 2026. Project Ceasar is still in early stage of development, but I expect proper announcement will be end of next year and release will be around 2026.

I would also prefer something else than the Colonial Nations and since they weren't included with Domination and Wind of Changes, it's unlikely that they would be the main focus of a DLC, because they are hard to access, you can't select them at the 1444 start and that wouldn't sell.

Did you listen to the podcast last Tuesday? It did sound like they are working on something (although something could also be EUV lol).
Also, september is here and if this isn't the end, there's a high chance that they announce something this or next week.

Is the new confirmation that EU4 is finished or that there will be further content added? To be honest I see arguments for both. If you wanted to sell the game in its last patches and sell the last DLC, giving so many DLCs for free would be a smart move.

On the other hand you could also say that this is just an attempt at a last sale rump up before EU5 comes, so people pick up the game and maybe the latests DLCs as older ones have become base game now.

Personally I really hope they dont waste any more development time on EU4 and spend it on Eu5 which is a much better game and allows for cooler and deeper mechanics thanks to the newer engine. EU4 DLCs added nothing but mission trees anyway. I prefer the designer work on the EU5 beautiful map and provinces, pops etc.
