Hello, I was wondering if anyone else had a problem with editing games w/in notepad in Vista? I've already tried to change the appropriate files from "read-only" staus as the administrator of the PC but after jumping through all the hoops and waiting I still cannot edit the files and it still shows as being read-only. Any suggestions?

Uninstall, see sticky how to do it.

Create a folder in C: called games. ( c:/games)

Install your game there.

As long as you have a decent Anti-Virus program you can also turn off UAC

I'll have to try the new direstory solution, the UAC solution didn't work either. Thanks for your help though.

Windows does that for programs installed in the Program Files folder. Install all games directly off the c: folder and you won't have that issue.
