Just a little something I'm playing around with for the hell of it...

LoOKs like your nextime space game

Can colonies receive external support frome home?

Unless it is impossible, yes.

Planet seems good, though we should probably somehow solidify what's going on in the galaxy as we've a few different mentions of galactic UN and Empires.

Or think we can leave that be?

It's up to you guys, if you want to solidify your lore pre-game, talk amongst yourselves.

That said, I'm in the land of AOL dialup, so I'm relying on @Shynka to make the final map before putting the thread up. All civs accepted btw, same with IC characters minus Deagh, who has to make his not a Kung Fu Panda character.

@Dadarian could I play as a more primitive race or even a pack of creatures created by a crazed science experiment. If not that's fine I can play them as more sentient advanced. I'm just wanting to use some images I made for a Sci-Fi game I've had on hiatus.

Vile-Horn
Race: Aberration
Age: 3 months [Body of 12 years]
Title (if any): Pack Lord
Specialty - Adam. This creature is exceptionally virile and with the other females in its pack can mass produce more of its kind.
Bio: Great metal made us. Many made, many not us, few lived, few like us. Mounds of swirling flesh crying in pain. Vile-Horn strong, I kill all. Then, more from me and together strong. Head hurt voice say, ". . .not good needs more," speak of, "mae dae and projekt malfunkshion." Red light, red lights and mounds of swirling flesh crying in pain. Vile-Horn strong, pack will be strong. Voice need more, we be more.

Vile-Horn is the product of a malfunctioning terraforming project. It has a small pack of a dozen others of its new species and is currently trying to find a niche in this world.

Hey Dadarian, got room for one more character? My character would be basically a cross between Don Quixote's delusions and the bumbling superhero Captain Qwark from Ratchet and Clank, but is more genuine in wanting to do good deeds than Qwark.

Anyway you could not literally be a derivative of Kung Fu Panda Deagh?

It was actually from my abandoned Peaceful Space Turtle aar race, which I later realized was basically the turtle from Kung Fu Panda.

I do apologize if it's to late, but I'd like to submit a character. I tried to be as vague as possible in order to not hijack your story, please tell me if I should edit anything.
Character: Alexander 'Alex' Smith
Race: Caucasian/Human
Age:36
Titles: 'Ambassador to the Sky', 'The Other'
Specialties: Two years of living with the native's of the planet has taught him the basics, and some intricacies, of their language and culture.
His training as a planetary surveyor, as well as native help, has taught him how to find landmarks, fertile ground, natural resources, and the basic necessities on alien landscapes.
Bio: Originally the leader of the "Scouts of Sol", a small but ambitious surveyor corps, he and his brethren embarked to scout out the newly discovered planet XPE-28-13-2. However, as their ship entered the atmosphere, engine failure caused the craft and its crew to hurtle into the planet's surface. Few survived the crashed and despite the team's best efforts, they were gradually picked off by the native wildlife and disease. The last survivor, Alexander had resigned himself to his fate. Luckily, a passing group of
natives found and nursed him back to health. Brought back to their settlement, he decided to learn their language and better their quality of life in an attempt to repay them. With his surveying ability and knowledge of basic irrigation, the settlement's harvest has grown exponentially. So to, has his standing with the natives. Affectionately nicknamed "The Other", Alexander had planned to live out the rest of his life with them. Now, however, sightings of 'sky ships' has reminded him to the dangers that colonialism brings to the natives. Not wanting to lose his new home, Alexander alerted the King of the settlement and, due to his origins, was dubbed the "Ambassador to the Sky". Now, he intends to mitigate peaceful trade and relations between the settlement and the colonies, and hopes that the foreign powers agree.
