This AAR will take place in two forms Discord and the Paradox Forums. Below are detailed descriptions on how each will interact.

Within Discord players will play as members of the Senate within our Republic. Members of the Senate will dictate almost every political matter within the Republic through the usage of bills & propositions. Players will also have the ability to form Political Parties which readers will every ten years vote for within the Senate.

The Discord is intended to stay separate from the Forums and as such Senatorial Discussions of any kind are only authorized within the Discord.

Of course you may feel free to express your opinions of Political Parties, Parliament Members etc. as long as it is appropriate.

Paradox Forums
To avoid unneeded drama, spam and arguments Senatorial discussions will be kept far away from the Paradox Forums and will only be referenced in the posts I will create. However members of the Paradox Forums have perhaps one of the most important jobs in the AAR.

You will participate in elections and vote for Political Parties that you believe will lead our Republic to prosperity and as such will have the capabilities to choose which party will gain a majority within the Senate.


The Senate

The Republic's Senate is made up of 500 Seats and every ten years the Senate conducts it's elections.

During the Election period players and viewers of the AAR will have the opportunity to vote for which political party they believe matches their ethics and beliefs.

When the election concludes I will tally up the votes and put them into a 500 seat Senate.

(Elections typically last for three days)

The Republic's Senate is the life and blood of not only the Republic but also the IAAR because it controls every single decision that I make as such the weight of the Republic is placed on your shoulders.

Elections:
Every ten years in game (two IRL weeks) we will host elections, these elections are open to the public to vote for their favorite Political Parties and Politicians. The Elections are held on Google Forums and intended voters are from the Paradox Interactive Roleplay Server, Paradox Interactive Forums, The Stellaris Official Discord Server and from the Stellaris Sub-Reddit.

At the conclusion of the elections results will be live-streamed in PDX RP and shortly afterwards posted on the Paradox Interactive Forums.

Chapter 1:
Patria. What We Once Called Home. ​

The Bright Age​

Our story starts on the planet of Patria, a continental planet and the birthplace of human civilization which for millennia found itself slowly exploring, conquering nearby tribes and eventually abandoning their nomadic lifestyles, utilizing agriculture and urbanization as small villages became large populated cities of countless Ancient Civilizations.

It was during this time that later became known as the “Bright Age” where nearly every Civilization that had discovered writing wrote of occurrences in the Solar System such as bright shining lights, drawings of strange looking asteroids streaming across the the stars and eventually these culminated in what is known as “The Blinding” as a massive bright blue explosion erupted on the far side of the Solar System which for several weeks made the night ceased to exist as the explosion lit up the night sky.

This time period saw the birth of newfound religions centered around these sightings and their climax which was “The Blinding” these religions were varied in their interpretations of what the event meant with some believing it was God revealing itself to its creations while others believed it was God and his armies fighting the armies of the dark, while others believing it was in fact God dying.

These religions proved pivotal during the “Bright Age” as Ancient Religions were rapidly abandoned and were replaced by religions concentrated on understanding the stars and sciences leading to great leaps forward in terms of Technological Advancements however the era was also defined by a series of brutal holy wars and zealotry that led to the eradication of many Ancient faiths and the formation of several powerful Empires which saw themselves empowered by Zealotry and Technological Growth

The Age of Revolution​

As the centuries went on the “Great Empires” as they are called began mastering the art of sail and began colonizing the unexplored world, conquering tribals and expanding their influence across much of the planet forming Great Colonial Empires that dwarfed the great Ancient Empires in land and power.

The planet was divided between these Great Empires and great technological progress continued to be made as mankind began embracing the power of steam which shortly afterwards led to a full blown Industrial Revolution and the establishment of great cities as peasants began flocking towards factories for employment. The rapid industrialization of Patria led to an influx of new societal ideas such as Democracy and the Rights of the People over the Monarchy and its ruling class.

These newfound ideas and the new societal class that formed among the masses led to the “Age of Revolution”. Many of the Great Empires suffered great revolutions and democratic uprisings leading to the formation of countless Republic’s and Constitutional Monarchies across the planet.

The Age of Revolutions ended in the year 1892 after several decades of constant warfare, famines with both sides nearing economic collapse formal peace treaties were signed with the Democratic powers agreeing to end their sponsorship of Democratic movements within the few remaining Great Empires and in return the Great Empires recognized the legitimacy of the upstart Democracies.

The Age of Revolutions saw the Renarian Republic grow to become the premier power of the world, a bastion of civil rights and democracy joined together by dozens of other newly formed Republic’s it formed the Democratic Bloc an alliance centered around free trade and the preservation of democratic ideals meanwhile the remaining Great Empire’s formed their own alliance known as the “Pact of Four” as the decades went on the Democratic Bloc saw massive technological and societal growth with their economies skyrocketing thanks to the discovery of air travel, complex computation and consumerism while within the Pact of Four living conditions worsened as the Empire’s became ever more reliant on imports and suffered from constant worker strikes leading to their eventual collapses and the official end of the last “Great Empires”

The Age of Technology​

The Age of Technology saw the end of most civil strife on Patria and saw major international cooperation as mankind began looking towards the Stars as the Democratic Bloc began cooperating to build the first unmanned and eventually the first manned rockets to outer-space. This time period also saw the gradual consolidation of the Democratic Bloc which at this time encompassed the majority of the planet as it developed its own unified currency, freedom of movement laws and eventually the formation of its own joint Armed Forces. Overwhelmingly led by the Renarian Republic the Bloc saw itself slowly breaking away state borders and in the year 1932 the Democratic Bloc officially voted in a massive referendum to form the Patrian Republic, a single unified Republic encompassing some 90% of the planet and ushering in a newfound era of peace, prosperity and Economic Growth.

For the first decades of the Republic’s life it’s Parliament was typically divided between two opposing Coalitions that leaned Center-Left and Center-Right, these Coalitions frequently cooperated together and overall politics within the Republic was stable and passive with both sides having political disputes on minor occurrences and typically shared similar views for the Future of the Republic.

As the unified planetary government began its focus on the stars manned rocket launches became common place as Sorellina Patria’s orbiting moon was slowly explored and eventually saw the first presence of permanent bases on its surface however it was the discovery of a strange massive energy presence at the edge of the Solar System that truly ignited the “Race to the Edge” as hundreds of billions were invested into advancements of space technology,attempting to understand what this strange phenomenon was and if its energy could be harnessed.

The Discovery of this strange phenomenon caused massive ripple effects throughout the Republic as even though large portions of the population had moved towards atheistic or agnostic religious views the Faith of the Light remained the dominant religion on the planet. The energy source was viewed by many as the source of “The Blinding” and speculation became widespread as arguments arose around whether the energy source was godly, a natural occurrence or even artificially made.

Age of Technocrats​

It was during this Race that saw the “Age of the Technocrats” as the Republic’s propaganda and media machines centered their focus on exploring the stars in a message of unity and planetary pride voters became ever more enamored with a new generation of Politicians that became known as the “Technocrats”. These Technocrats began exploiting the people’s interest in the Colonization of Space and Technological discoveries to upend the Republic’s Parliament and over the course of a decade the “Patrian New Age Party” saw the traditionally fragmented and coalition based Parliament make way for the P.N.A.P.’s Parliamentary Majority in the elections of 1962.

While the P.N.A.P.’s campaigned on outer space exploration, technological discoveries, improved social benefits and the creation of millions of jobs, there was a growing unlying tone within their messaging signaling their distaste to the political process and the traditional parties. Upon their total parliamentary majority in 1962 they began a campaign of carrying out their promises while in the same effect enacting electoral thresholds for parties to join the Republic’s Parliament, increasing the power of the Chancellor of the Republic and passing laws that led to growing Government oversight on the media allowing the P.N.A.P. to influence what voters heard. Although there was intense political outcry from the opposition massive technological breakthroughs, a massive economic boom and most importantly the discovery that the strange source of energy at the end of the Solar System was in fact a Wormhole that potentially led to another Solar System led to the public’s growing support of the P.N.A.P. despite their growing authoritarian policies.

1976 is known as a watershed moment in human history as the Renarian Probe entered the Wormhole and was transported into a dark and uncharted area of the galaxy. More startling was the discovery of dozens more wormholes that supposedly led to other Solar Systems as these recordings were shown to the public widespread celebrations, concerns and the prospect of interstellar colonization went from a distant dream to something that could be achievable.

The discovery of the “Omega System” as it became known was conveniently on an election year that initially saw P.N.A.P. support dropped significantly. The prospect of their majority hold over the Parliament being completely wiped out due to their fourteen years in power and growing criticism of their authoritarian policies however the discovery of the Omega System drowned out any criticism of the acting government. The Opposition crumbled due to the overwhelming government support due to these newfound discoveries and saw the P.N.A.P. for the first time controlling a super-majority within the Republic’s Parliament.

Through this SuperMajority the P.N.A.P. began banning opposition parties under the guise of terrorism and treasonous actions as well as eliminating Freedom of the Press. This saw the Media becoming entirely under the influence of the P.N.A.P. By the 1980’s all major opposition parties were banned and the P.N.A.P. alongside its figurehead allies became the only legal parties within the Republic, dissent towards these actions were brutal and although rebel movements and strikes occurred they were all brutally suppressed in the name of stability.

As the P.N.A.P. finished its long-term goal of dismantling the Democratic Institutions of the Republic great efforts began being made to survey and potentially finding habitable colonies within these newly accessible systems. Great technological breakthroughs were made in the following decades such as the discovery of Advanced Chemical Thrusters shortening the time frame to reach the wormhole from over ten years to mere months, as the first probes entered these new Solar Systems it was discovered that many of them had to some degree habitable planets, yet they were all devoid of sentient life although these planets did possess much alien life.

It was not long before the first Colonization missions were underway and brave settlers embarked to new planets to officially expand mankind’s borders beyond its own Solar System. It was at this time that scientists continued to attempt to discover the causation of these Wormholes and yet they were left stumped as the wormholes defied any natural understanding of the laws of physics. This led to the rapidly declining Faith of the Light to see a resurgence in its members after several decades of decline as its members claimed that the wormholes were created by the Creator himself and that mankind was destined to explore new worlds.

As Colonization efforts increased it was discovered that within the Omega System laid many dormant Wormholes that could be activated through the usage of high energy bursts. Those Wormholes were leading to additional wormholes slowly opening and the discovery of more habitable planets. It was during this time that the small-scale colonization efforts composed of dozens of colonists, mainly scientists, rapidly grew into widespread colonization efforts with Colony Ships composed of millions of colonists beginning landing on newly found planets.

While on the surface the Patrian Republic appeared to be entering its glory age a careful look within the Republic showed countless signs of decline and civil strife as tens of millions fled Patria to the newly found colonies in hopes of escaping the Republic’s ever growing grip on Patria.The Technocratic P.N.A.P. had become nearly completely immoral and complacent in revoking even basic rights of citizenry with unethical experiments even on large scale populations becoming widespread.

Life in the colonies was different as the oversight from the P.N.A.P. proved to be minimal which resulted in Democratic Movements rising across the Republic’s Colonies and strikes, riots and rebellious movements became a commonplace occurrence for the Republic. The Homeworld found itself dedicating massive amounts of its budget towards its Armed Forces which was tasked with brutally suppressing these movements while also utilizing complete media blackouts to suppress the knowledge of these movements to other colonies and to the Homeworld. Even as unrest continued to boil over in the colonies, colonization efforts did not see any slowing. Mass overpopulation and the yearning for a better life led to hundreds of millions to look towards the stars for a new life.

However mankind's future was forever changed on March 19th, 2091 when reports started coming in that one of the wormholes leading to a newly colonized planet collapsed on itself. Frenzy and panic spread amongst the colonies with fear that more wormholes could collapse. Riots and Protests sprouted up almost immediately as billions panicked across the Patrian Republic while the Government attempted to calm the masses.

Then, on March 20th another Wormhole collapsed. Minutes later another and then another. This went on for nearly an hour until the one to the newly settled colony of Ciros collapsed as well. All communication was cut off, no signals or ships coming or going anymore. They were truly alone now.​

Chapter 2:​

The Planet of Ciros. Our Home.​

The planet named Ciros after the ancient Patiran city of Ciros, was colonized by the Patrian Republic in the year 2089. It was one of the last planets to have been colonized by the Patrian Republic, respectively the Colonies wormholes was also one of the last to have been opened as during the 2080’s attempts to open dormant wormholes had proven difficult with extremely low success rates. The discovery of Ciros was met with widespread acclaim as tens of millions reserved seats on the first Colony Ship that were set to touch down on the planet.

The first Colony ship to touch ground did so in the year 2089 and its Colonists announced the establishment of the city of Astoria, throughout the years over two dozen more colony ships would land on the planet with the majority landing on different sides of the bay near the city of Astoria. However one doomed Colony Ship landed in the North-West of the planet in the mountainous area known as Ashar. The Colony ship was believed to have been fueled by experimental reactors, however all that is known is mere months after landing the Colony Ship and surrounding camp which housed some six million civilians erupted in a massive explosion that scarred the planet's landscape even hundreds of miles away.

[The Asharian Disaster]

The destruction of the Colony Ship in Ashar led to widespread concern among the colonists as the Colonial Government quickly covered up any mentions of the Colony Ship even existing. These lies with the addition of whistleblowers reporting that the destruction of the Colony in Ashar was intentionally, led to massive riots and the Planetary Government calling for assistance from Patria.

Before the Patrian Republican Navy could arrive and put down the unrest, the Wormholes collapsed and with the only true form of Government. Without the shattered and despised Colonial Government, which promptly was overthrown, the entire planet was left without any form of actual government let alone even a regional government.

Post-Collapse​

The first decade after the “Collapse” was marked by the formation of countless Colonial City Governments, many of which claimed authority over the same cities leading to outright warfare and frequently the damaging or complete destruction of their Colony ships. Those were vital in providing energy and production capabilities to these upstart governments and it is estimated that during the ten years after the “Collapse” the planets population decreased by roughly 30% or forty million perished of the 130,000,000 colonists that were on the planet per the 2090 Republican Census.

As the initial shock of the Collapse began to wear off and constant attempts to communicate with Patria failed, the regional-governments and the colonists began to realize they were truly alone. Chances the wormhole was not going to open again made many of these regional governments able to shift their focus from survival to rebuilding and expansion.

The most successful of these Regional Governments was the Colonial Capital of Astoria thanks to its already established revolutionary government which had overthrown the Colonial Government on Astoria. The revolutionary government having the support of the people and Astoria possessing the majority of the Planets Manufacturing and resource stockpiles.

The Astorian Republic was officially formed when the five regional Colonial Cities all of which had begun to overlap upon each other to form a Metropolis united as one to combine their resources in the face of isolation from Patria. The Astorian Republic’s Government was established around the Rights of Man and an end to the Authoritarianism of the Patrian Republic however knowing the difficult times ahead an Emergency Government was established and Democratic Elections were postponed indefinitely until stability could be achieved.

As the Republic of Astoria unified and began stabilizing it came into contact with nearby Colonial Cities within the Astorian Bay that continued to be loyal to the Colonial Government, through a series of swift conflicts that were resolved rather rapidly due to the Colonial Government’s own civilians not supporting them the Astorian Republic expanded their influence across the Astorian Bay.

The Astorian Republic’s began rapidly growing at the turn of the twenty second century as their stable government, increasing Standard of Living and public support allowed the Republic to rapidly expand as they diplomatically incorporated countless villages and towns throughout the nearby region, largely more established Regional Governments however were not so easily convinced as such the Astorian Republic conducted several wars against local city-states that refused to be incorporated and/or practiced authoritarianism.​

As the Republic began rapidly expanding its borders it also began rapidly expanding its industrial capabilities as for the first time since the collapse large scale construction projects began resuming and issues from a decade before such as famines and constant shortages became a thing of the past.

The Geopolitical Borders of Ciros in the Year 2113

As the Astorian Republic continued to expand across Ciros it was not the only nation state that had managed to reorganize itself and begin expanding across the planet, the Astorian Republic encountered the newly federated Esparian Republic which had over a short three years managed to unify much of the Colonial State of Esparia, this Republic shared many of the ideals that the Astorian Republic shared such as democracy and the Rights of Man and as such quickly entered into trade agreements, however from the North came the mysteriously capable and organized “Patrian Colonial Authority” which unlike any other nation state or faction that the Asturian Republic had encountered possessed modern military equipment yet more worryingly it appeared that this equipment was newly created.

The Astorian Republic found itself for the first time in its existence on the backfoot as the Patrian Colonial Authorities Armed Forces tore through the Astorian Republic’s Northern Borders and began threatening the Republic itself, Local City States and Nation States to the West of the Astorian Republic also found themselves assaulted from land and sea by this upstart nation. Refugees that fled from the Patrian Colonial Authority reported that the P.C.A. appeared from the Mountain’s of Ashar near where the Ashar Disaster occurred.

The Geopolitical Borders of Ciros in the Year 2115

The Patrian Colonial Authorities sudden assault left the Astorian Republic in full retreat as they struggled to regroup against the P.C.A.’s Onslaught however as the P.C.A. reaching the outskirts of the Astorian Bay the Astorian Republic’s Armed Forces launched a counter-offensive and managed to crush the P.C.A’s thrust towards the City of Astoria.

The Esparian Republic and many Regional Governments lent their hands in support and the P.C.A. saw its armies routed, however the P.C.A. was not about to give up easily as they ordered a scorched earth policy that saw genocide and mass executions towards those who did not support their cause.

Within two short years the Patrian Colonial Authority was defeated and its remnants scattered into the Asharian Mountains relentlessly being pursued by the Astorian Armed Forces, with the Astorian Republic victorious, the allied Regional Governments joining the Astorian Republic and the Astorian-Esparian Alliance forged.



The Geopolitical Borders of Ciros in the Year 2125

With the conquest and destruction of the Patrian Colonial Authority the Astorian Republic saw itself as the absolute Superpower of Ciros, the victory over the P.C.A. led to the remaining Regional Governments diplomatically joining the Astorian Republic. With their newfound superpower standing this led to the Esparian Republic and the Astorian Republic merging together to found the Cirosian Republic. A Unified Planetary Republic controlling the entirety of Ciros.

Cirosian-Colonial War​

The Cirosian Republic was officially established in the year 2123 and by the year 2125 encompassed the entire planet of Ciros, with unification accomplished and the destruction of the Patrian Colonial Authority. Ciros was able to begin focusing on reconstruction efforts and unifying the scattered settlements of the Republic through communication and transportation. Even though the planet was unified the Emergency Council continued to insist that it would be irresponsible to grant elections while the threat and mystery of the Patrian Colonial Authority persisted and while reconstruction efforts continued as such Eleanor Relan the First Citizen of the Astorian Republic became the first President of the Cirosian Republic elected via the Emergency Council.

The citizens of the Republic found these terms acceptable as stability had returned to the planet, living standards were increasing rapidly, industrial zones were rising from the ground and most of all citizens' civil liberties were respected and cherished even with the lack of democratic representation. At the same time military operations continued against the Patrian Colonial Authority as the Government attempted to piece together how they came into possession of such equipment and industrial capabilities as the Asharian Mountains were desolate and scarred from the Asharian Disaster decades earlier. Colonial Governmental records had no documentation of bases or outposts in the the Asharian Mountains however captured P.C.A. soldiers in exchange for citizenship aided the investigation and confirmed their existence.

As the Cirosian Armed Forces continued to push their way through the Asharian Mountains under near constant hit and run attacks by the Patrian Colonial Authority they finally discovered a massive underground complex that was the headquarters of the Patrian Colonial Authority. After several months of siege the Armed Forces of Ciros breached the complex and room by room brought the complex under their control gathering pieces of information as they went. It was discovered that the Complex and the origins of the Patrian Colonial Authority was established months before the first colony ships arrived at Ciros and was established as a Secret Military Complex to manipulate, spy and due to its vast research wings conduct unethical testing on the population.

It was discovered from an old government communication log that the Asharian Disaster was in fact a planned operation as the colonists of the Asharian Colony were deemed too radical and free spirited and would eventually cause instability within the Republic as such through the assistance of the Patrian Navy a barrage of Fusion Missiles were launched at the Asharian Region destroying the Colony and the entirety of the surrounding area.

As the Cirosian Army continued their advance deeper inside of the complex they discovered thousands of prisoners of war that had been executed hours prior, closer examination showed the POW’s had extensive signs of abuse and some were subjected to cruel experimentations such as brain implants and lobotomies ever deeper the army advanced until three days into the assault the remaining Patrian Colonial Authority leadership surrounded and yet sealed within their last levels detonated the bunker’s experimental Fusion Reactor vaporizing the last remnants of the Patrian Colonial Authority as well as thousands of Cirosian soldiers.

After war effort​

The end of the Cirosian-Colonial War officially ended in the year 2130 as the last signs of resistance was crushed and with it the Cirosian Republic was able to refine their focus on reconstruction as attention moved away from the Capital city of Astoria and moved across the planet as impoverished towns and cities were granted sweeping infrastructure and economic funding which led to increases living standards and popular support towards the Government. However this newfound prosperity was not without its own issues as food and power shortages continued to be a common occurrence as the Republic made great attempts to rediscover and recreate vital industries that were lost during the Collapse such as Advanced Healthcare, Nuclear Power, Rudimentary Space Travel and more were slow to master for the Republic although not without great efforts in funding.

However as the decades passed the Republic continued to make technological leaps forward and the Citizens of the Republic began enjoying living standards comparable to those on Patria. However with this stability saw growing unrest towards the Emergency Council which by the year 2175 had canceled elections for five consecutive decades continuing to claim that the Republic was not yet ready. The Emergency Council, while not authoritative and genuinely filled with those of merit and respect for the Republic and its ideals, feared what a truthful democratic process would do to the Republic and that it could lead to great unrest and the possible rise of demagogues essentially replicating the democratic decline within the Patrian Republic. As whispers of unrest became mass peaceful protests the Emergency Council respecting the citizens of the Republic and their heeds for democracy agreed to the protestors demands and in the year 2180 the first democratic elections occurred on Ciros with over eighty percent participation the elections went off smoothly and surprisingly to the Emergency Council their Unity Party the United Ciros League [UCL] won an overwhelming majority within the Republic’s Senate, sweeping all Ministerial seats, the Vice Presidency and the Presidency itself, this electoral win was verified by multiple independent and federal agencies and there was no fraud or abnormalities discovered, this newfound mandate led to the UCL continuing to lead from the forefront.

Change on the horizon​

In the election of 2190 the UCL not only repeated their electoral victory they surpassed it and managed to secure nearly all seats in the Republican Senate and swept the Republic’s Executive positions as the UCL continued to rule the nation Eleanor Relan now in her seventies started to become concerned about the UCL 's worrying similarities with the P.N.A.P. and through cooperation with the Cirosian Security Agency it was discovered that widespread corruption and electoral fraud were committed by members of the UCL in the election of 2190 as such Eleanor Relan in an Emergency News Conference exposed the corruption of her own party including her Ministers and Vice President.

The exposing of electoral fraud and corruption within her own party led to a short lived coup d'etat within the Capital City of Astoria has U.C.L. loyalists attempted to seize control of vital areas across the Capital however the Coup failed to materialize as the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement of the Cirosian Republic overwhelmingly stayed loyal to the President and Republic, with only a minority of small forces joining the plotters. The failed Coup led to over three hundred Senators being arrested and convicted of treason against the Republic with the remaining UCL Senators voting to outlaw their own party and barring all sitting members of the UCL for sitting in government for the rest of their lives, although investigations were launched against Eleanor Relan they failed to prove that she knew of the widespread corruption within her party, however it was widely suspected however she remained highly popular within the Republic for her strength to step away from the source of power that she had created.

Eleanor Relan explained that these drastic measures were required to ensure a truthful democratic transition for the Republic and for a new era of politicians to take the reigns of the Republic.

In her final broadcast before the 2200 Elections she declared:

“People of the Cirosian Republic, it is time for you to take our Democracy into your own hands. Myself and the remaining U.C.L. Senators will be barred from participating in the upcoming election, I call upon you all to take this great leap and to make the right choices.

One thing I will say that is very fun and unique about this experience is so much of the history and routes are RNG based.

The Government of Patria? We had about a dozen possible routes ranging from A Perfect Republic, Monarchy, Military Junta etc. and yet it landed on Technocracy.

We will also be doing RNG rolls for all 20ish Colonies and what happened to them. Did they die off? Explode? Become Primitives as they are still Pre-FTL?, In the boat as us? What is their government? All of it is RNG rolls including Patria in our current day.

Chapter 3:
The Cirosian Republic in 2200

With Eleanor Relan serving out her last year in office with the Republican Senate composed of only 182 Senators the Government has taken on the role of a Caretaker Government after the Coup of 2199 the United Ciros League [U.C.L.] lost all legitimacy and had their mandate to rule stripped away from them. If it were not for the massive popularity of Eleanor Relan and her letting the deeply rooted corruption that her party had participated in be widely known it is likely the entire Cirosian Government would have collapsed.
However the remaining Senators of the U.C.L. and roughly two dozen opposition Senators have managed to maintain the Senate, passing legislation banning the U.C.L. from future elections, an action of pure humility and putting the Republic first as U.C.L. Senators voted against themselves leading to the current sitting Senate of the Cirosian Republic enjoying approval ratings ranging from 60% to as high as 75% meanwhile Madam President Eleanor Relan has enjoyed a consistent approval rating of nearly 80% for putting the Republic first.
However the Government is in reality largely paralyzed unwilling to pass major legislature due to the Senate only having seated 36% of the Senate the Republic has experienced a year of inactivity with many bills being tabled until the upcoming elections.

The Economy of the Cirosian Republic

The Cirosian Republic's Economy has seen steady growth over the past decade with Republic suffering no major shortages of vital goods however the decrepit infrastructure of the Republic a majority of which dates to the initial colonization efforts of the Patrian Republic now over a hundred years later much of it requires massive maintenance to keep operational yet the cost to replace this infrastructure would be massive.

The Republic maintains steady Consumer Good and Alloy Production with a production of 3.88 CG and 11.44 Alloys respectively however the Outdated Colonial Perinian Industrial Zoners ultimately holds back the true potential of the Republic's refined good economy.

The Republic maintains moderate Research production being able to slowly pursue its aim of once again reaching the Stars however Technological Growth is largely held back due to the Outdated Facilities that the Republic uses.
