It could be that tiles.bmp is too large. (IIRC, it is several hundred mb?)

For now, try renaming tiles.bmp and see if MapExtractor works.

Though for this to be the problem MakeTransparent would have to be extremely inefficient, if it requires 2 gb or more of memory. (You actually have 2 gb of free memory in addition to everything else you need memory for? Lucky you :( )

BTW, it might have been clearer if you had posted in the Victoria thread - because I thought that you were using the HoI map until closer inspection of settings.txt.
Sorry for the confusion... I just assumed that since it hadn't been posted on in a week, my problem would not get feedback. Yeah, I have a lot of memory free. Slightly more than 2 GB open, out of a total 3.4 GB.

Renaming titles.bmp seems to have done the trick, it is exporting fine now. I just hope it all works.

EDIT: Mapviewer works, but not MapMaker. I got an error about images.txt, so I copied and pasted that file from Exported Maps to the location of MapMaker.exe. I ran the program, hit 1 "Make initial radish files," and got this:

File Missing: map_0_0.provID.png
Press any key...
File Missing: map_0_45.provID.png
Press any key...

When I press any key, I get "MapMaker has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

Copy everything in folder Exported Maps to the place you copied images.txt to.

Everything works fine, went off without a hitch. Thanks.

I'll test out the new version too, and post errors in the new thread?

Jamie, sorry, I have not uploaded the image that caused the map deformation, as i have shawn you. I am not sure. Should I only upload greyscale png image, as it is the only file i modded ( added i in Novi pazar)? Thanks.

Upload images.txt if you changed it and the grayscale and provid images of the section that you edited.

Thanks, Jamie. Here is the link, for both files. Mediafire's server is shut down, so I used rapidshare.

http://rapidshare.com/files/122575941/Images.rar.html
There is an unnecessary white line to the left of the colorscales image. This causes the incorrect offset.

And to everybody...
PLEASE DO NOT POST IN THIS THREAD! POST HERE INSTEAD

Perhaps a mod could close this thread.
