check this out guys
in one of my games, I was allied to the chinese as poland and guess what in my war with austria and venice. the chinese invaded istrya and annexed it with tyrol and one more austrian province and they had 300 warship fleet in med plus a 350k army too phew :)

AI controlled venice a superpower!
though it doesn´t have ragusa in the improved GC, venice annexed switzerland (i already wrote that). but as the game continues venice conquered a new victim: milan!

not that unhistorical but i never saw venice growing like that....

This isn't that wierd, just stupid. Portugal, reduced to one province in Iberia, with no army I can discern, declares war on Spain.

A 12000 Chinese army landing at Holstein attacking Denmark!

By the time that got there the war only lasted another 6 months so they did not conquer the province.

I wonder how many started the voyage??

This isn't really in the weird category, but I got a real kick out of it.
My first GC game, I played as Spain to get the hang of things since that's an easier nation to play.
Well, France and a few other scoundrel, nasty, war mongering nations declared war on me. Soon I saw a French 130,000+ army move from the French hinterlands to one of my Spanish provinces in Holland. (I marvelled at that huge army since I didn't have that many soldiers in my whole army! Don't forget, my first real game.)

After my province was under siege for a little while, I was still figuring out how to check the progress of battles. I clicked on the province and the display showed I had 11 soldiers and about 10 cannons left! Against the massive French army - 130,000 strong and many cannons!

Well, being a newbie at the time I was a bit shocked! Needless to say my province fell rather quickley. In retrospect, when I clicked on that province, I should have gotten a message saying 'This province will fall before you can close this window!' With a 'Skull and Crossbones' picture and the sound of the funeral dirge in the background! I think Johan missed a chance at some real humor there! :)

Nubians at Central Park

A 30000 men expeditionary force from Nubia disembarked and conquered Manhattan (IGC 1.5e)

In my last game, the Papal States conquered all of 'Ireland' and Navarra took over England.

In the same game France colonized all of North America and The Hanseatic league took half of Poland-Lithuania.

My favorite moment was as Spain, annexing the Aztecs in 1508!

In my first GC:
-I was france
-in a war in the first few years, Pol-Lith built up a huge navy and sent in a huge army against Spain and eventually (By 1500) controlled four provinces to the south of France (Navarra, Roussilon and two others)
-Spain couldn't attack me (France) b/c of Poland and i took all of the spanish netherlands, franche comte and luxembourg, etc
- My war mongering continued and i eventually controlled everything (Cologne, Kleeves, Hannover) up to and including Hanseatic League
-Unfortunately, the badboy value got the better of me as a coalition of Spain, Pol-Lith, Brandenburg declared war on me ... the netherlands declared independence ... and the wars just kept piling on and i dragged my allies (Savoy, Scotland and Austria) into them ...
- hehe, by 1700, Scotland and Savoy didnt exist and Austria was only the one province of Austria (Brandenburg controlled the rest, lol)
- France (me) was split up b/w England, Pol-Lith and Spain ... and Brandenburg sent fleets and took over all my colonies while i was preoccupied ... it was fun while it lasted tho

In my current GC Lorraine had (with Spanish help) annexed 5 (!!) provinces from France. Now that the French are allied with Lorraine, Spain-allied Hesse has taken 3 of Lorraine's provinces, 3 French, and diplomatically annexed Hanover.

Papal States having several colonial cities on the South African Cape . . . looks like no Boer Protestantism in this alternate universe.

Playing as turkey, I became Mr. BadBoy as a result of my aquisitions, and England, who was an ally of Venice, took control of Hellas. Earlier in the same game, Portugal took control of East Prussia after declaring war on Prussia for becoming protestant. Later the Portuguese took 3 provinces from Kazan in an alliance with Russia, Pskov and Poland-Lithuania. In the same game Poland-Lithuania controls large portions of Germany and Scandinavia.

What else? Oh yeah, Ive got colonies as Turkey in India and South America. Hee hee ;)

Chinese troops in Biloxi province North America while they were at war with Spain was an interesting sight to see! About eleven thousand troops.

Perhaps not wildly strange, but historicaly ironic for the AI:

Netherlands receiving Manhattan from England after a war.

Poland annexing Brandenburg and Prussia in the 1730's

Venice throwing Turkey out of Europe, taking all their provinces but Thrace.

Scotland conquering all of England but Anglia.

The Mameluke Marine Corps. They managed to take all of Ireland and much of northern England. They also had Jutland. Also when playing England they always seem to want to ally with me and march small armies around France. Rather cute really.

In my first GC as France, i'm in war with Spain (1550-1558) for the control of Luxemburg-Hainaut-Artois.

The war is very bloody and during for long. 3 of my home provinces revolt( Gascogne, poitou and Vendée).
Spain sent from Madrid a huge army of 60 K. I don't know why, maybe to avoid my scattered army groups in Rousssillon, but it went from Gerona to Guyenne then Poitou and Vendée.
So this army beat all the rebel scum and arrived in Artois with less than 10 K. I couldn't have better done. :D

At the end, exhausted, i let Spain keep Luxemburg-Artois-Hainaut, in exchange for Franche Comté, Cologne and Apulie (for the Papal States)

The Order of Saint John conquering Oporto, Algarve and the Azores from Portugal, after sinking the whole portuguese navy .

France totally defeated by the alliance Navarra-Alger and a small army of 35.000 men that took the provinces of Languedoc,Bearn (Navarra) and Provence (Alger)

China expansion toward Novgorod.

Quebec, a Moroccan colony after defeating the french.

Genoa conquering England except Anglia and Scotland.

Hansa , the number #2 after Spain in VP's (1550)

A danish ship pursuing a french fleet of 56 ships, and defeating them battle after battle till they got home.

A chine-japan war with huge armies (230k- 170k)and a tiny Scottish army of 981 men in the chinese side ( military consultants maybe?)

A french army sieging a town taken by rebels to me, and after the siege, it's me who controls the town,(thanks frenchies)

Not too many, but here we go:

Protestant Spain

Province of Georgia under Spanish rule, while Georgia(country) has only province Sochi

Papal states uniting Northern Italy by 1540

Military alliance between Russia, Poland, Sweden and Teutonic Knights -- didn't last very long though

A 30 year long war between Naples and the Knights

Dutch Lebanon

More to come, I am sure
