I like playing the United States in HOI2/DD. I thought this mod and several excellent features, but like the Modern Day mod for HOI, I was disappointed that the infrastructure levels for all the countries were exactly the same in 1996, as they were in 1936. This to me, is a major failing

It's a pity but it is not a full playable version of MOD, but it has lots of new and totally new features, and I think it will be interesting for you to make some actions and conduct several battles. And, certainly, apprise TNW.
It's not yet fully playable and you talk of Infra... First people get the main things (tech tree, OOB, ai etc.) finished before they start with minor things like Infra.
Infrastructure is one of the last things to be done. And why don't you try to help and search for information about infra than criticize?

Looks intresting, ill download.
Why is Gulbene a part of Estonia? Should be Latvian, though i appreciate giving us some more provinces :p
EDIT: Eeh, i cant download, it's rapidshare. Some of us have problems with that, if you can host it in another place too.

I did, I'm playing with DD V. 1.2. I installed the no time limit patch to the HOI2.exe icon on my desktop and I also tried it with the exe in the DD folder. Still doesnt work. But what about the tech teams not being there, any idea why?

remeber he said its only a demo, not even an aplha, infra isnt that important anyway
Oh really? Tell you what. I'll play the United States in vanilla HOI2 after everyone of my "provinces" are running with the infrastructure at 100% and I'll swamp you. You may not think that the infrastucture is unimportant, but why bother with historically accurately finding the ministers, the technologies and the doctrines of countries and then playing with ridiculously low infrastructure levels? As far I know, the purpose of a demo is to try the game out and make constructive criticism so the designer and improve his/her work. Or am I being unreasonable!

i ment infra wasnt overally important in a demo, i agree infra should be changed in future, but currently he has yet to finish events and other important things, id prefer events and stuff compared to something, that the player can change, anyway, if it is such a big thing for you, build some

Actually since the maximum infra lefel in HOI2 is 100%, it is actually BETTER that infra remains at about 1936 levels rather than getting increased to 100% just about everywhere in the world. This way the mod will still be able to reflect the difference in infrastructure quality in different countries.

By the way, you sound very disturbed and angry, although I see no reason for that.

Max level at start in TNW is 80%. It is feature. And this "80%" are even worse than vanilla 100%.

P.S. I came back! :)

I want to say that level 80% in modern days, in TNW project, is much better than even 100% level infrastructure in vanilla. By reallity sense of railroads and roads densy, of couse.

Is there any sense now? :)
Oh it makes sense now. However, your analogy is tragically flawed. <nail buff>
