Don't worry, it's not multiplayer in the traditional sense. Each person plays the game during the reign of a single ruler, saves upon the death of their ruler, and then forwards the save file on to the next player in line. For example, I started the game in 1066 as the Duke of Uppland, Erik Anundsson av Munso and played until his death in 1090, at which point I sent the save game file to CSK for him to play as Erik Anundsson's successor.

I think it should be a vote between the other players then excluding the actual ruler, based on the performance and AAR.

We should definitely have some sort of nickname for each ruler and I like Nitrate's idea of having the other players vote on it. I like it. The first AAR is up now at the link in my sig and so far we're the only players, so take a look at it and start thinking up names.I've read your AAR, and how do we start? It seems you've played a large part, but who's next?

No mods, just update 1.05. CSK was first in line and I believe (from his absence after I posted the save file link) that he is currently continuing the game. Nitrate would be next in line although he has expressed some doubt about playing, in which case you'll be up after CSK. The way this will work is that when CSK finishes his player he'll send you a PM containing the link to the save game file, at which point you can continue. This could be in a few hours or a few days, depending on how long his reign lasts. Just keep checking your PM box every so often and you'll know hwen you're up.

Well, I'd like to get in on the action, it sounds like a splendid idea. However, I have (in addition to other mods) the improvement pack 1 installed, and I can't reinstall the game to be able to play without it, because I am currently playing a game I wish to make an AAR from.
Would a save file someone sent me without the improvement pack be compatible with my game?

I'm no expert, but it depends on how much of the game the mod impacts. If it's just graphics, then you're probably ok. If it changes around parts of the code, then probably not. Hopefully someone who knows more about the mods can tell us.
well u didnt necessarily have to take the name of ur character in the same since it is suppose to be an official in-office name but how about this.

well, he decleared war on the pagans and gained nothing from it, he didnt help his king in the war against norway and as result his future kingdom vaned in power, and finally when he did get the throne he barely lived to see it. That and of course he lost a good portion of wives while getting severly wounded in a battle he gained nothing from.

u should put "King Erik the Ill-Fated" in bold letters first line of ur AAR to indicate the ruler
