As I've posted before, I absolutely want to play as Teutonic/Templars/Hospitallers, so of course Theocracies is a must. I guess it won't be at launch, but as a DLC it would make me happy.
Naval combat was important back then and I hope it'll show up one or two years after launch.
China could be added in the future, that's not really that problematic for me.
Don't care about Hellenic at all.

Yeah China, but i think it will be one of the first DLC for Ck 3, they know the community too well. I think hellenics might be in from the start. I hope we will also have enatic succession, by seeing how we can customize religions, i think it will be there from the start. China because of the content will be the 1st DLC in my opinion.

Rank China, Theocracies, Naval Combat and Hellenics in the order of what you most want to see in CK3.

1. Naval combat.
2. Theocratic naval combat.
3. Naval combat with Hellenic Aztecs.
4. Naval combat with Chinese junks.

Only thing I felt was missing from CK2 was proper boats. So long as CK3 has boats, I'll buy CK3 :p

Maybe so but it's never gonna happen. They're gonna strip out as much of the stuff that's been added over the years as they can possibly get away with so they can re-add it in expansions again. Expect a Hellenism expansion in maybe five years if you're lucky!

I'm not that pessimistic for now, as I think that there are many thing that could be improved in the game even if PDX will keep most of the CK2 content, but, of course, if CK3 will be devoid of content, I will wait to buy it when it will be better that its predecessor.

Good question. Rank China, Theocracies, Naval Combat and Hellenics in the order of what you most want to see in CK3.

1. Naval Combat
2. Theocracies
3. China
4. Hellenic religion

I can honestly live with the Off-map China approach of Jade Dragon. As for Hellenic religion, it is a cool add, but I'd demand it as vehemently as I would aerial combat.

Hellenic paganism was functionally dead at even the earliest start dates, possibly being followed in a handful of mountain villages. Reviving it shouldn't have been included in CK2.

China and India are too much, the game should end at Persia. The game should not have less content than CK2, and should DEFINITIELY not have less QoL then CK2 (looking at you, Imperator). If you can't think up a good way to implement pagans and tribalism in CK3, import it directly from CK2.
And also, CK2 was made excellent by the decision to have multiple start dates. The 1066 date for CK2 is great, but it is by no means the most interesting of the dates to start from, and the late-addition of Iron Century means there are still people interested in doing this.
You advocate for not having India or China in the game, because it's too much... Too much what? Content?

1. Hellenism (Easily adds the most fun)
2. Naval Combat (I wouldn't mind as long as it is implemented well of course)
3. Theocracies (Not sure I'm the biggest fan, but I do think it would be cool to play as a knightly order.)
4. China (It is likely that I will very rarely interact with China at all in my playthroughs beyond the Jade Dragon Emperor panel, so all China will add for me is worse performance)

Edit: Maybe a compromise could be an option to make China similar to their Jade Dragon presence instead of expanding the map farther East, and if you want China that is available as well?

NO Hellenic religion, Just please don't do this.

B-but, how will I recreate my Julian the Apostate run with incestuous, cannibal dwarves? :(

Jokes aside, yeah, I can do without the fantasy of Hellenic revivals. I'm ambivalent on playable theologies, as I'm unsure how one would want to go about it to balance against feudal regimes, a major reason nomads and merchant republics likely got removed. Definitely have some potential, though, given how powerful and influential some theocracies were, even warring with feudal powers at times. China would be wonderful, but the off-map function would suffice if need be. Naval combat... really should be in the game. There was enough of it to be justified, especially for defending the Eastern Roman Empire.

I want to play as a fully Indianized emperor of Japan, and complete the process that in real history abruptly stopped due to collapse of Tang dynasty and sudden cut in contacts. That would be the only reason I'd want to see China in the game.

That or ability to play as Song dynasty, which would be pointless without nomad functionality.

As for theocracies, I want to play inland republics like Florence/Novgorod more than I'd ever want to play theocracies. Monastic orders sound fun but they won't make a good gameplay unless landless characters and families are made playable.

And hellenism...well, I would wait until they've introduced custom character designer back into the game. Olympian religion presence makes sense in 769 but the game starts in 867.
