I matrilinealy beothred my character to some Capet courtier, who later became heir to duchy of Orleans, and some time after- heir to Kingodm of France. Temptation was too strong and I kinda ruined my small vassal count playthrough :<.Is this addiction to power or just the game is too easy?

This is why I try to stick to bastard and my own dynasty for female heir marriage. (use to play with matrilienear off, but dev removed the looking for matri marriage when it's off, without replacing it, which cause problem in AI accepting to marry their daughters a bit too easily, which annoy me more much then my own temptation to abuse matrilear marriage)

Conclave's Heritage focus at it again. The mongols crush all their enemies on the abttlefield, but then a youngest son randomly gets heritage focus and a Bodpa educator and this happens:

So I got the event "For whom the bell tolls", and I'm playing chess against Augusto in order to save my life. However, I was able to become friends with him before the event fired, and now I am able to offer the life of my "friend" Augusto to himself.

Now that's what I call 5d chess.

Byzantine Empire somehow became a tributary of the independent Duchy of Rashka. Notice that the Duchy of Rashka is 4 counties, and the Byzantine Empire is the Byzantine Empire. However they did it, Rashka now has a montly income of over 20 ducats thanks to getting 40% of Byzantine Empire income per month. I think this is the wealthiest a Balkan nation has ever been or will ever be... in this game and in real life.

There's some other strange stuff in this screenshot actually. I'm Leon and I started in 769 and save scummed the hell out of this game to grow to that size, so nothing in that area is strange. Umayyads took all of Aquitaine and I got it in a crusade.

England was created. Never ever seen England get created in the 769 start before (or the 867 for that matter).

Lombardy created the HRE. No help from me at all. Never seen that before. Then the Lombarts turned Greek in culture (but still Catholic religion).

Merovingians made a comeback! A faction demand installed the last Merovingian on the throne of Austrasia shortly after the game started, and the Merovingians rule in Austrasia still. I got some of their blood in my dynasty too because... MEROVINGIANS!

Proud of that little duchy of Sardinia. The whole of those two islands were under Umayyad control, but a brave liberator spawned and his family has ruled it for a century.

Borders are too gory -_-

It's not that uncommon to see- I saw them pay tribute in my last game too, to a Liberator Duke of Edessa who declared his war with perfect timing, marched to Constantinople through rebeling anatolia with his peasant stack, won the siege, took the Basileus' kids, smashed some small force and enforced peace.
