By my accounts, you could definitely have created a weirder character. He could have had any of the following traits:
Viking, Varangian, Genius/Quick, Attractive, Lunatic, Crusader, Son of a concubine, Homosexual, Twin, Blinded, any of the tolerance traits, any amount of the bad genetic traits, and I believe one of the indian casts as well.

Yeah, although Lunatic, Homosexual, and Twin are completely random to get. Also I'm pretty sure you lose the Crusader trait if you convert from Christianity, not sure if it's the same with Viking and converting from Norse.

So what happens if he wins? There would be two Teutonic Orders? Or is it just a bunch of guys who want to escape the order?

Keep us posted about what happens

He would just be a count.

He would just be a count.
Now imagine that. A power-hungry commander of the Teutonic Order escaping the rule of his Hochmeister to create the independent realm of Iceland. Someone could write a book about that.

Yeah, because attacking me there was such a good idea. Silly Germans.

These guys don't look very "Teutonic".

So, my Dutch count has a thing for MILFs

This guy seems conflicted, he's both merciful and ruthless

A single Greek Christian count has survived surrounded by Muslims for over 100 years. The Caliph even owns every barony in his county. Talk about tough neighbours.

The Romans return to Italy! After losing their entire empire the title somehow passed to the King of Italy. Later it went back to an Orthodox Greek who is slowly converting Italy to Orthodoxy. Also that Kingdom of Bavaria is Hungarian and Tengri and has somehow survived being surrounded by Christians.

The hell of it is...he was winning.

Of course. HO's won't fight christian brothers, even if they are some rebel scum

Everybody's favorite Heinrich Salian has a problem: he is in some minor Danish baron's sexdungeon.

Maybe he can write to Kin of Denmark to facilitate his release? No, he can't, King of Denmark is imprisoned by Archbishop of Trier:

Literally just started a new game as the Duchess of Portugal when I was considering how to tackle the muslims. I noticed they'd gone a weird green, I thought I was in a different map mode. Zoomed out, apparently they didn't pay their mercs on time.

I wonder if the Band will convert them, or if the Irish Band will become Muslim Mercenaries?

And is it just coded into the game that landed Holy Orders will erupt in violence? First the Teutonic Revolt in Iceland, now I notice this in the Iberian...

Eyup. My Father-in-Law is leading a rebellion within the Knights Templar. And unlike the Teutonic Revolt, he named his own son heir...and his son IS NOT a Templar, meaning no Celibate Trait. The more interesting bit about this (and why my Father-in-Law is of my Dynasty), is this is the family branch I "poached" from Youkhann to get the Sayyid/Mazia trait.

Meaning we have a Templar Revolt of a region that is still somewhat Shia lead by a man who is both a Templar and Sayyid.

EDIT:

Suddenly...

...wat?

yTCrLwj.png

WAT?

Here's the strange thing about the above. These people have zero connection to the Sayyid branch I deliberately engineered (and then unleashed into the wild). The father of the above is actually a grandchild from the Duke of Apulia branch. The father is Shia...but the grandfather was Irish Catholic, and the grandmother was also Catholic (From a culture in Hispania). So how father and son became Shia Berber is beyond me.

A Templar Sayyid? How are you NOT playing that character?

So, I have found approximately the greatest character ever. I'm playing in India, teaching everyone to be pacifist and lovely OR DIE.
And I think, if you'll bear witness for a moment, I have pieced together this characters story.
Say hello to the county of sursdaler and it's current owner
wkLbnCq.png

Sursdaler is a minor, unimportant county in the middle of Russia. The most remarkable thing about it is that it has been utterly unimportant-the biggest change occured a century ago, when the rulers changed from Suomesko to Slavic paganism.
Anyway, in this unremarkable county lived an unremakable woman
RPZZH4p.png

Ylva never married or did much notable with her life. Her family had only come out of obscurity a generation ago, and looked sure to fade make into obscurity again later. The only notable incident she experienced was a quick tumble with the local count, which resulted in a young bastard named Olafr.
Olafr was a notably quick child-a trait which marked him as exceptional, by the standards of the backwood he was raised in. His natural brightness was only enhanced by his keen ambition and drive, which attracted him many, many followers from near and far.
Olafr's experience with leadership only whetted his appetite, and drove him to aim for high goals-far, far higher then than anyone from Sursdaler had ever reached. His search for power, and natural leadership abilities, made him a master of diplomacy-which more than compensated for the fact that he preferred studying overseas maps to actually talking to others. And if he was a tad proud, well, why not? By comparison to the local backwaters, he was head and shoulders above everyone else.
Olafr's experience with maps and talking to traders did teach him one important lesson though-no one cared about Sursdaler, or indeed any of the Slavic lands. If he wanted to be remembered, and etched in history books and on monuments for all time, he would have to leave Sursdaler, and even Russia. Thanks to his masterful speaking skills, he convinced men young and old from all over Russia to join him. For Olafr had no intention of going doing in history as just another bastard. Olafr would show the snivelling disciples of the dead god the folly of their ways. Olafr would show the proud and haughty follows of the so called 'Prophet' the weakness of their 'Caliph' and his unworthiness as a true leader of men. Olafr would put the Holy City to the sword, an only stop until all temples and mosques were ash.

And that's how I checked to see why jihads had just triggered in 972, and fell off my chair laughing.
On a unrelated note: Don't drink underage, kids!
