He looks like a failed Shia uprising turned Sunni?

Looking at that wiki article, he looks more like a historical character from the Mongols bookmark to me...? Also, Shia Uprising guys always get Quick and Attractive, not just Quick.

He's not in the vanilla files (only the dynasty twice) , so either a mod, random or created by editing or Ruler Designer.

If I remember correctly, there's an event that causes him to appear. I had this event one, but I don't know anymore how the court's determined he appears in.

Never knew of that modifier...
How does it happen ?

My game's calmed considerably. Outside some inter-family drama (Which saw me retake the historical holdings of my ancestors after passing them out for a eugenics program), there's been nothing on the level of Templar Sayyid uprisings to report. But have some screen shots anyway!

HRE and HRE Revolt leaders routinely lean out of their respective castles and shake their fists at each other.

The Mongol event popped, so I went to see whats-what.

Nothing too strange here. I wonder what his wife is like...

...is this normal? Because if it isn't, then I am really curious if this will lead where I think it will.

A bit early don't you think?

Just playing glorious Mother Russia (With Rurikid Byzantium as my heir) when suddenly I glance at my glorious Orthodox progress when I notice....

Yazidi...HOW??
Seems that the Shia have beat the Sunni into oblivion. Then some sunni ruler converted to a heresy, and made the heresy mainstream. Happened in one of my games as well.

As a Finn I find it funny that Orthodoxy is strong everywhere else but Finland.

I was playing with the Rurikids in the Old Gods start to unlock the Persistent Survivor achievement with the idea of stay small and keep the game speed set to the max all the time. At some point I got a notification, the christians unlocked crusade because byzantium was falling, while they were blobbing as usual. I tought it was a bug of some sort, so I gone on with the game. When five minute ago I checked the religion map to see how the norse faith was going, I noticed a strange thing, part of the byzantin lands were shiite, so i checked the emperor and...

lol, shiite byzantium, who might stop them to conquer the world now? Is this normal? I don't play often in the old god start.

Sorry for bad english.

Are the Abbasids still sunni? If they are, we could have an epic showdown of the faiths.

Since I found this thread, figured i'd post my most frightening CKII experience to date :p Was busy building my welsh republican empire, and I zoomed out to find this as my nextdoor neighbor.
