Yeah you're right I was thinking of Mark and yes I'm quite sure the scholar are quite aware how the verses change meaning I dare say they drive the process in order to give themselves more power, even if they no longer do it today (which I doubt) then they have atleast spend most of the last 2000 years doing it.
And Matthew the evangelist is actually never said in the bible that he's the same matthew as matthew the apostle that's just later church tradition. Never mind that modern historians belive that all the gospels are likely written centuries after the last apostles died.
Look if you want to buy into church propaganda then feel free to, but if you're epexting me to, then we're going to be here for a long time. As I said severa times already the very moment they established a central doctrine they lost all credability with me.
