So here I am as the Hungarian-run Carpathian Empire in the middle of invading Croatia when I find that I am fighting against this Duchess. Carla was a Byzantine vassal and I'm not sure how she managed to not be at war with Byzantium while still being considered a rebel faction, but she managed to accomplish exactly that and come to her ally's defense to try and fend off the invading Hungarian forces. Fortunately, her mysterious diplomatic dealings and additional forces were not adequate enough to prevent Hungarian advancement.
