Before I launched my great holy war for Andalusia, the Umayyads had a decadence revolt with 80k men spawning.

I won the war, but the revolt still went on, although most of the territory of the Umayyads was lost. Then it went on and on and on...until:

Explanation: The 80k men spawned on Menorca. As they had no ships, they couldn't smash the 10k Umayyad troops. I'm sure that if I hadn't interfered by taking Valencía, the revolt wouldn't have lasted over 19 years, but could have gone on until 1450, as the warscore didn't change over the years.

He went to the Citadel at 2 October and died at 28 October. He spend 26 day in the Citadel. Nothing strange here.

What mod is this?

Time for some superb strangeness!

Observer games can be really strange sometimes.

And look who leads this monstrosity, hunchbacked mizra? I wonder what the mahometans think about this as he holy wars his way through andalusia.

Not a single province in the game is shia, they were thoroughly chased off the map. The caliph escapes and decides to amass power by other means?

They were still available to Norse rulers though..

Inbred Strong Romuva King of Finland?

This is a pre-TOG game under 1.09 and CK2+ 1.33.25. Some of these are not so much "strange" as awesome, so let's see what happened in this game:

  • Nice big Kingdom of Wends (catholic) which took Greater Poland duchy in a holy war from Cathar Poland. Hungary (before getting HREstomped, unfortunately) and the Pruthenians divided up the rest.
  • Looking for France? It's red, actually. The Hundred Years' War happened roughly 200 years earlier and was roughly 110 years shorter. Most of France then went independent, but some English acquisitions remained. (York & the English duchies are just temporarily rebelling.) English France was later conquered by Denmark - Philippe Capet's daughters were being naughty all around Europe. The Capets themselves are now holed up in Navarra, and also hold the county of Paris - lucky for them they managed to conquer that before losing France itself. They are struggling to hold off Aragon.
  • The Latin Empire formed through a crusade for Hellas, and if Byzantium loses Constantinople in CK2+, the Byzantine Empire is destroyed. Not so strange really, but it happened extremely early this game.

(I'm playing the Occitan duke of Provence, now also of Auvergne and Berry. This will probably be my last game before I switch to TOG - as soon as it is brought up to date with 1.101 - and aside from the HRE going crazy in Eastern Europe, it's a pretty awesome game. I'll see if I can form an Aquitaine spanning from the Alps to the Atlantic, able to resist the HRE and clean up in Catalan territory.)

So the Holy Roman Emperor declared war on an Anglo Saxon England who was able to hold off against William and Hardrade for... a random courtier's claim? After checking out the claims on England, the one the Emperor is pressing is for a landless, random Anglo-Saxon courtier in Cornwall. He started an all out total war. For a man who's essentially a lowborn. Well.

Is that Eadgar of Wessex or some other Eadgar?

Oh yeah, I just noticed it was Eadgar of Wessex. So he's not some random courtier, and it's really really cool that the Kaiser put house Wessex back on the throne. But still, kind of a waste of the Kaiser's manpower, I don't see a reason why he'd do that. There's no alliances or marriages between the two.

So is this an impasse or a Mexican standoff?
It's the classic 'switcheroo'.

Mexican Standoff requires three parties locked in 'whoever strikes first, dies second'. See The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (though the reference is from the late 19th century itself).

But who has locked King Eirik up?

All of these happened in parts of the world That I currently had no dealings in. Randomly generated nonsense

That is Brittany as a kingdom and also a European superpower.

That is Hungary gone wild out of no where. Seriously they just exploded. Didn't last long do to gavelkind though.

And finally an ethnically Norse Tengri Of house Yngling who is the Duke of independent Brittany after a successful landless adventurer advent I'd guess.
