Also the Norse failed every invasion except for the one against East Anglia, and the Welsh attempted to holy war for Sudreyjar but barely failed.
Not really all that strange, but it took me a while to figure out why a Norse king (in both culture and religion) calls himself Despot.

This is an awesome event. And actually happened IRL. I love historical flavor. I've had it happen twice in my games. Has no meaning whatsoever and no real effect, but it's cool to learn.
I played the last few decades as a peaceful merchant republic in Ireland. The AI did all of this in a little more than 3 years.
(Poland owns Ruthenia now, The Arabian Empire lost a lot of territories and is no longer ruled by the Abbasids, Sweden conquered allmost all of Scandinavia, Pope started Crusade for Andalusia, The Byzantine Emperor pressed his heirs claim on Germania and won the war,...)

Yes probably. Sweden already lost most of its new territories and Germania is revolting.
But the pope won his crusade and half the Iberian peninsula is now owned by the Knights Hospitaller
