"A truly worthy character and a devout Catholic will have the honor of ruling the Kingdom of Jerusalem."
It's been a while since I played with a Catholic ruler. Do you really get this much prestige when you win a Crusade? There's no other way this character could've gained this much prestige, especially with these traits.
This isn't so strange for this game, but in real life?

tl;drhe crushed them all!
Here's ashortstory:
I created a nice Zunist realm encompassing Afghanistan, Balochistan, Multan, Punjab and Sindh. I had immense luck by being able to reform the Zunist Faith early, and gaining access to their Holy Order. It was a really developed realm, with its economy boosted by the Silk Road. Overall, I had 16 thousand soldiers under my command, plus 12 thousand from that Holy Order.
Then I got a war declaration from the Yaqubids, and the guy from the picture above. He had 41 thousand soldiers (Holy Jesus on a trampoline!) under his command, and a ridiculous tax income.
But lucky me, my realm is distant, and the AI is retarded.....He sent 26 thousand soldiers in 2 stacks in a first wave, which I outmaneuvered and obliterated with rather minimal casualties. Soon again, in a second wave, he sent 12 thousand, which were easy prey for me.
Truly a catastrophic defeat for him, and a glorious victory for me. He also paid me 1200 gold.....
Yes, he did have a great income, but he was still in a deep minus over the course of several years.
Broke and with his armies destroyed, he then suffered bigger threats.
He had to fight 2 claimant wars, 2 liberation revolts, 1 Norse invasion and an attack from those pesky Zunists (aka: Me).
One particular claimant gave him a lot of trouble by capturing most of his capital duchy, and obliterating his army. He didn't even touch the Egyptian revolt and the invasion of Kabylia by 6000 angry Vikings.
He kept spawning his troops again and the again, and he kept getting destroyed.....It was really entertaining for me to watch the great Arabian Empire disintegrate. Most of his wars were at -60%, and he barely had any coin or troops.
Several years passed, and he was still in his wars, but the situation changed. He returned from the dead apparently, as he started to slowly crush every one of his opponents. First claimant was down, then he turned on the other one....with 12 thousand men! Even though his realm suffered decades of war, he still managed to raise more soldiers and to keep the taxes high.
I declared war on him, in order to counter his "resurrection", but bad karma got me as I faced a huge domestic revolt. Only thing that saved me, was that I kept that money I gained from the previous war.....
Norse managed to win the war, but that's because the duchy of Kabylia was rather far. No matter, the Caliph declared war on him later, once he had dealt with the rest of the wars.
I have no idea how he managed to survive this crisis. Imagine a sinking Titanic, broken in two pieces and about to disappear in the ocean. Then this guy took control of the ship, stabilized everything and brought the ship safely to a harbor, with passengers alive. Don't ask me how.
Plus he's a craven drunkard.
He died at the age of 76, leaving a peaceful realm, tons of gold and 46 thousand soldiers (!?) to his successor.
Then the Jihads activated......
How to deal with this monster?
I can only fight a defensive war against them. Foolish me, thinking I could bring the light of Zun to Europe. Now I'm facing Seljuks.....May the Giver of Justice be with me.
I got the holy order when I reformed the faith. I thought you automatically get them once you do that?Nice story. What triggered the holy order for you? I reformed my Zunist faith yesterday and had to fight off a shia and sunni jihad without the heirs of the sun help.

CK2 Wiki says that you only need to reform the Zunist faith in order to get them.I sure didn't.
"Oh look, a penny!"

Maybe you get the event only if you're at peace? If you were at war constantly, perhaps that's the reason?
Tower of Babel, Walls of Babylon."Oh look, a penny!"
Thats the newer version of the tower of babylon I guess![]()

I believe decadence was added in a patch, so it doesn't matter if I have that DLC or not. And I'm pretty sure I was able to see the meter before. No idea why it's not showing up now....Good job, mr Caliph ... an empire well earned, I'd say. (Too bad about your quashed Zunist ambitions)
Although, are you playing without Sword of Islam? Guessing that since he isn't showing a decadence meter. I assume decadence doesn't happen without the DLC, which would definitely make his empire scary stable and strong.
