As the Wikipedia article points out, John XII became pope somewhere between 17 and 25, as it seems to be unclear exactly when he was born.

Benedict IX was similarly between the ages of 11 and 20 when he became pope, which really tells you something about how little we actually know about it, since that difference should have been very notable at the time.

I have gotten the event several times when someone wants to join your camp with their family. But I have never had someone join that has 6 traits + Genius. Got myself an amazing wife for my heir.

A normal evening and I want to stroke my ego by looking at my highly-buffed master warrior and want to make sure that he is the strongest man in the known world

I'm currently only in second place? How did he overtake me with all the buffs I've staked?

I've never seen such a high baseline value before. Is he taking steroids?

Them norman adventurers eh?

A while ago when I started as the only Jewish count in Abyssinia, House Normandie settled to the north of me.
I think he got a little lost... I don't even know how he ended up my brother in law... XD

That's probably how he got the land in the first place. Things like that start happening once you marry people far outside your culture. It gets even worse when you have a family of Norse Vikings. Those guys get everywhere.

I don't remember marrying off someone to a Norse guy/gal in that game.
But it wa s a while ago too and the save game is long gone.
Maybe an AI family member did it?

I love how the stories just kinda write themselves in this game.
Teresa was the daughter and sole heir of basically the biggest honcho Iberia had seen since Hannibal, Sancho The Great - the single mastermind behind the reconquista as well as some regular conquista in North Africa (where my former adventurer character presently resided, having managed to carve out Melilla and Tangiers as a fief of their own). He was basically all but an emperor when he decided to die.
A few years in to Queen Teresa's reign a dethronement war ended in her defeat (IIRC I had thrown my lot in with her through some tactful marriages) .She instead ruled as a regent for her eldest son, but they fell out as he reached maturity. Poor Teresa found herself in a downward spiral of alcoholism and anger issues, and eventually, she resorted to make ends meet as a Court Jester for a mere duke. Riches to rags.

The infighting amongst her sons eventually tore Iberia apart, leaving it wide open for a takeover by the Moroccans.

Maybe not weird, but I just found this one and was surprised - gaining a cat while on monument expedition gives it special name options - I wonder if this work for all monuments or only select few?
