Someone remind me to get the carthage acheivement - I somehow got 80 devastation in crimea (probably because I let rebels occupy it for three years after a long war, I still have no idea how it got this high)

So, USA formed in my game. I did not pay much attention to the Americas, I barely noticed it, as I was busy on the old continents.

But then this popup appeared, and I had to chuckle. Apparently, in this timeline, USA ditched the whole republic experiment, and continued the good old tradition of monarchism. In fact, they are so good at it, they just got Denmark in a personal union!

I doubt they will win alone against Sweden, but nice try, Americans. :)

But wait, it gets weirder! I finally looked at USA, and noticed their religion...

No idea how that happened. IIRC they formed from a breakaway Norwegian CN, and Norway had a few orthodox provinces up north, since they were held by Muscovy for a while. Somehow, that religion propagated into the new world. :)

I moved my capital in my Bahmanis game so I could get the TC boost in India and for some reason eventually down the line this event fired.
Little was I prepared the Shia Evangelicals.

My only rationale is it is an old event that presumes the company with a trade company in India is going to be European.

Behold, the most evil man in history! Ferdinand!
I shudder to think what his third trait will be. Right now with cruel and malevolvent hes got -40 to call in Austria to war, so its actually impossible.

Not quite impossible. Just need prepare for war and one more trust or a Diplo reputation advisor. Also curious as to why you invaded Castile instead of getting the PU. Aragon is one of my favorite nations to play because of it's location and how quickly you can get the entire Iberian peninsula under PUs while also having a huge hold in Italy and a claim on Byzantium from the start so you can get Constantinople. You're basically unstoppable within the first 50 years.
