This won't be too fancy an AAR, just a brief recounting of the events in my game.
I'm playing As Italy in the 1936 scenario, with one goal: World Domination. I will not be joining any alliances, and plan to control every province in the world by Dec 30, 1947. Unfortunately, this is very unfeasible in Vanilla 1.06, so I made two slight changes: one to reduce the Spheres of Influence of some of the major powers. This way, I could spend the years before the wars building my empire without the fear of being wiped out by Germany or the Allies. And the other was to make it possible to land in south America and fight effectively. As it is with logistic penalties, I would get -200 attacking there, and I think I can ship just 12 divisions across seas to destroy one single division. I didn't change the actual logistic penalties, as I like having them, but I just made it possible to invade South America.
I didn't keep very accurate notes for dates, so the only ones I will have are the dates I annexed each country; everything else will just be in the order it happened.

Early 1936
I started out the game in 1936 at war with Ethiopia, and a defenceless neighbour, Albania. I quickly annexed them both (Ethiopia on April 12th, 1936 and Albania on May 23rd.) It was now time to take a look at the big picture and see how I could go about building this empire of mine.

Mid-1936
The most accessable countries were all of the balkan states, as well as Austria and Czechoslovakia. I wanted to annex the latter two before Hitler got his grubby hands on them, so I immediately declared war on Austria, annexing her on September 14th. I then proceeded to send my army through the hole in Czechoslovakia's defences, and with good weather, managed to annex it December 6th. So far a year has past out of the twelve that I have, and I have not gained much. Almost all of my ICs so far have gone to research(trying to get to Mech. Infantry,) with only three Mountaineer Divisions and attached Engineers built, as well as three Tanks which were on the way. It's time to step it up a notch.

1937
I immediately ordered half a dozen infantry divisions and declared war on tiny Hungary, annexing it quickly, on the 22nd of February. I then sent a dozen units on my fleet to the Black Sea in order to pincer the Romanians. I declared war, rushing in with my new tanks, taking some fresh land. With no forces to defend the east coast, I landed my infantry in some undefended Marshland, where they unfortunately had to stay for most of the rest of the war.

Soon after this, the rest of the Balkan states declare war on me, and I quickly garrison my long border with Yugoslavia with the 6 new infantry divisions. I take Beograd with My rookie tank Corps, and pierce into the country with my Motorized/Cavalry corps backed up by some infantry, taking Sarajevo and annexing Yugoslavia May 19th, 1937. I quickly rush my infantry down south to garrison the new borders with Bulgaria and Greece.

It's time again to concentrate on Romania. I feint an attack on their capital from the marshlands on the east, and they pull troops away from the western border, so I can easily take the hard-to-attack mountains. Their remaining two key provinces are both plains and completely surrounded, and fall quickly. I annex Romania on October 25th.

Turkey is bombing the hell out of Rhodes, and sends some infantry toward it. I had no idea turkish troops could walk on water, so I pleaded for peace with them, and to my surprise, I got it! Now, I only have Greece and Bulgaria to deal with.

1938
Bulgaria is a fairly worthless country with only two key provinces, but I will need them in order to mount a decent offensive against turkey later on, and if I don't take it, they'll just pester me. I use the troops from the marshes of Romania to land on the plains in north-east Greece so I can attack Bulgaria from four different angles. I pile all of my units onto the border, and attack. I finally annex them on April 15th of 1938. I then proceed to walk over Greece very easily, annexing them on June 23rd.

I've fought wars against Turkey before, and my experiences have not been good. The last time, they kept taking allied provinces southeast of them, and moving through all of those mountains to get to those key provinces is not fun. However, this time they were only at war with me, so it was much easier. Before declaring war, I got military access through Russia, and put all of my mountaineer divisions on Russia's border with Turkey on the Black Sea. I surrounded Istanbul with all of my mobile divisions, and put infantry in ships to land on the south coast. All in all, the war went smoothly, with the biggest trouble of course being the final key province, deep in the mountains. I annexed Turkey on October 15th.

At this point, I notice with curiosity that Japan has still not invaded China. I decide that if they ever do declare war, I'll rush over and claim a slice of China as well. But this would be a lot easier with some kind of foothold: The kind which Portugal just happens to be the proud owner of. Next stop: Iberia!

Late 1938-39
Well, my goal of world Domination isn't coming along to well. I had hoped to have a lot more land than this before the war broke out. I had hoped to invade germany while they were busy with France, but it looks like that isn't going to happen. So, I concentrate on taking the Iberian Peninsula, with all of its wealth. Spain is just finishing her Civil War (sure took a long time) and so are a prime target. I declare war and land near Andorra, Valencia, Gibraltar, and just north of Portugal. My mobile units close in quickly on Madrid and Spain is annexed on February 10th 1939. War is declared on Portugal, and the mainland is taken rapidly. I go on a goose chase for all of Portugal's colonies, and finally annex it on September 3rd, 3 days after Germany declares war on Poland and the rest of the Allies over Danzig. At this point, Germany is completely alone in its war, but still doing fairly well.

I now have my foothold on China, but Japan is still uninterested in attacking her. So, while I'm in the pacific, I ship the 12 infantry divisions there over to Ecuador and annex it on November 4th. Germany Annexes Poland shortly after. I move some mobile units over from Iberia, and annex Peru January 18th, 1940.

1940
I'm still falling short of my goals: I had hoped to have all of South America by now, and Japan still has not declared war on China, so I have nothing of theirs yet, except Macao from Portugal. I decide to continue taking South America and play it by ear.

I do an amphibious assault against Venezuela, and mother nature is against me. There is a storm for quite a few days and I suffer heavy losses before taking both of their key provinces and annexing them on April 3rd.

At this point, I figure I might as well take the carribean countries, while I'm near them. So I annex Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Cuba on May 10th, 16th, and 23rd, respectively.

On the 21st of May, Vichy France is formed. I declare War on them immediately, before they join Hitler's alliance. Aftet taking Cuva I send my troops back to Europe to help take the undefended country, and send some down to Africa to take their colonies. I annex Vichy France July 27th, 1940.

Things are now fairly quiet in Europe. Germany takes Northern Ireland, and remains at peace with the Soviets. Things are pretty stagnant. So, I turn my attention back to South America, and declare war on Colombia. I attack from Ecuador, Venezuela, and the sea, but the going is still slow, and I don't annex them until November 21st.

It isn't until now that I notice that Japan owns a large chunk of China. Looking at the logs, I find that they had declared war on July 24th - I should have been paying attention! I send my new Mech Army along with my brand new tanks to Macao to invade, and declare war.

Early 1941
I find out quickly that China's infantry is incredibly ineffective, and realize that the reason why is because they are attacking with mostly Org. 0 units. The Japanese must have worn them down fairly well in the last few months. I make a beeline for Nanking with my mechs, and leave my tanks behind to defend the line. they close me off for a short period, but I quickly reopen the supply lines. I send my second wave of soldiers over: My mountain infantry divisions and a bunch of infantry, in order to take those mountain and jungle provinces in the southwest.

Present: March 12th, 1941
It's March 12th, 1941. My fresh infantry and mountaineers have arrived, and will attack Jiangmen, a 1VP mountain province across a river with a few units garrisoned that I need to take in order to advance out of Macao. Because my mechs were cut off for a while, they were slowed down from lack of oil, and were only able to capture one province on the east coast. I have Nanking though, so I'm now concentrating on getting all of the VPs west of it in order to annex China. Here's a screenshot of the present situation:

Thanks, GrevenWhite, that site works perfectly

A couple of things I forgot to mention:

It seems that the UK took back Northern Ireland. I don't know when that happened.

Finland and Russia have been at war since November 19th, 1939 and no territory has been exchanged.

And that little bit of pink in southern France is the province that Canada managed to capture right after the Vichy event, before I was able to take anything.
