Can't see anything ruining the game though... In what way does it crash? Does it just freeze? Didn't you forget to include your .inc file into scenario's .eug?

I fired up Red Alert yesterday and the map was just the historical USSR borders.
EDIT: Maybe there's a way to make the main menu look like the one in Red Alert?
P.S. I found some info on the story of Red Alert that would help with the time line.
"With the threat of Nazi Germany having been successfully removed from history, the Soviet Union began to grow increasingly powerful under the rule of Joseph Stalin. Had Adolf Hitler risen to power, Nazi Germany would have emerged as a force standing in the way of Stalin's own ambitions of conquest. Instead, left unweakened, the USSR proceeds by seizing lands from China and then begins invading Eastern Europe, in order to achieve Joseph Stalin's vision of a Soviet Union stretching across the entire Eurasian landmass. In response, the nations of Europe form into the Alliance, and start a grim and desperate guerrilla war against the invading Soviet army. Over the course of the game's story, the Allies and Soviets fight out a devastating conflict for control over the European mainland, in what has become an alternate World War II."

OK then - now we know that all the countries in blue are allied - but what about the ones in red/black?
Finland - Allied. No way would it be on the Soviet team. Any opinions though?
Switzerland/Iceland - What do you guys think?
Poland - I think Allied. You?
Romania - I'd say a Soviet puppet to give the commies a little slack in the "Russia against Europe" department. You?
Bulgaria - has control from both sides. I think another Soviet puppet.
And what about Asia, you think? From RA2 we know that Korea is divided - Japan is also allied until the Empire of the Rising Sun emerges. How about China is also divided?

This is the pre-game timeline. The Soviet Invasion begins on September 1st, 1949 - 10 years to the day after the OTL declaration of war on Poland by Germany.
The German Civil War would kick off in 1947, I think, and be concluded by late '48.
How to handle the Weimar Republic? The Treaty of Versailles forbade them tanks and submarines, as well as an army over 100,000 men and there were economic sanctions. I think that Republican Germany is under IC and MP penalties at the beginning, as well as having armor and subs unavailable for construction. All that is fixed with events.

Alright sounds good. Your going to make events so that Germany can't make tanks or research them?
Hmm . . . I think that the Weimar Republic (Republican Germany) can research tanks and subs all it wants but can't build them. Then they get events in the civil war that fix that. They can build light tanks all they want though.
