The Remarkable General Omer

I am currently playing as the Ottoman Empire in the 1836 scenario. Around 1850 I realised that I had two generals named General Omer, they were exactly the same. A few years later I realised that I now had 5 General Omers. Now, it is 1875 and I have 10 General Omers in the leadership pool and one for each unit. I have not created any of these generals but they keep appearing. Is this a bug? Or did I miss an event that makes General Omer's mulitply and multiply?

actually i think its a bug I had the same trouble with general Moltke or smthing like that

Do they all have the same traits? If not, then they are probably just random leaders that happen to have the same name.

They all have the same traits, and they multiply when I don't have enough leadership points to have another general.

Certainly sounds like a bug. Are you running vanilla Victoria 1.04 or Revolutions 2.01? If you have a savegame please don't delete or overwrite it; it could help Paradox find the bug.
