Expected, but good none the less

I hope the winners won't take it badly when I say they won more because they used the cards right then because of how they played the actual game. I have said before that I feel 3 cards per round is too much because it overwhelms the other aspects of the game and this game proved that to me once more.

Please don't think I'm saying you didn't earn this victory, you did. It's just that in my opinion, you won a game of 'Resistance - The Card Game' when I was hoping for a game of 'Resistance - The Social Game'.

You got it wrong BTW, I knew Tonka was a spy, not Tamius.

Oh yeah, this was a definite win by cards. No denying that. But if the cards were used poorly, then we wouldn't have been able to build the chain. Or if Tonka had accused Seamus. The cards could be fixed though.

I do agree, and I've said it before: three cards is too many.

Damn, so close :p

To be honest, you would have been in a much better position if Tonka had sabotaged the first mission. Then the cards from round 2 would have had to be wasted checking who the spy was between me and Tonka. At that point you have 1 sabotage for 1 spy outed, but 2 lots of cards have been used up.

I like the roles better than the cards, but both still need some ironing out. Anyway...

VICTORY!

This was a good game, and everyone played well. I started to think tamius was a spy when we had that weird debate, but it ment little in the end.

I had a good reason for not sabotaging not just because you were threatening to use your card but also because It would have ended in both me and tamius getting outed. At least that is how I saw it, also I only thought there were two spies so you can blame this loss on me as I played the game that way...

But thanks for hosting and GG.

Agreed on the too many cards thing--Falc, go write a rules set yet again.

I agree. That's why, among other things, I'm starting to lean towards Avalon variation.

Oh, guess I should have used that, then. I started this in a bit of a rush actually, speaking of which: I apologize for the mediocre GMing. I should have devoted more time to this...

Eh, I know people weren't totally convinced by what I was saying. I think this game helped making the point more clearly.

That being said, I'm not claiming that my smaller deck is necessarily better. The one game was well received but it's hard to say whether that was 100% because of the different cards. Resistance seems, by definition, to have a rather large chance of landslide victories.
