Nope. Big mistake. Dyranum is a spy, I'm almost certain of it. And if he isn't, then you are. A team without me on it is doomed to fail. Dyranum has the next proposal, so we can't expect a good proposal there, so it'll come down to me on the team after that.
Well, starting a few hours from now, I won't be around for the next ~18 hours. So
Approve the Team of: Aedan, Falc, and alxeu
Reject anything else
Also, it should be reminded that Dyranum accepted the first team, which is now confirmed to have a spy on it. Which is an extremely suspicious thing to do, and bad for a first mission to get through.
Approve (the alxeu proposal). I trust Falc and alxeu.
Why would approving the first team be especially suspicious? It has a low chance of failing, and everyone are total unknowns at that point—rejecting team after team would not really go anywhere, except closer to a spy victory. One has to take risks and test things. But eh, it is all up to Falc and alxeu now, since I doubt any of us other three will approve a team that does not contain ourselves.
After a couple of weeks of translation work, the Hungarian Phrasebook was ready for publishing. It was sold to Hungarian tourists, who used it to navigate the UK acting almost as if they spoke perfect English, with a little help from the book. It seems that the writers were SUCCESSFUL in their endeavour.
Basically, I figured that nobody was going to believe that I was actually good, at this point, and so I had to cast some suspicion on one of Alxeu and Dyranum. So, what I really needed was for Falc to use his NC card after seeing that I had approved the mission, which I would have no reason to do unless there was a spy on it. The way I understood the mechanics of the card, Falc would get an opportunity to play it after the team had been approved (i.e. the result of the mission would not be revealed immediately). I hoped he (or alxeu or Dyranum) would believe that I wanted the mission to go forward, and adjust their thinking accordingly.
Just out of curiosity, Falc, if you had been given an interim period where you saw the mission had been approved but it hadn't yet gone forward, would you have used your card?

Oh, if I could make a suggestion, could we not have plot cards in 5 or 6 player games? I think the game is pretty well balanced without them until you get to more than 2 spies. With them, a single unlucky card can make it pretty much impossible for the spies to win.
I mean, I figured I'd come back to a loss, but this is just... poor. I suggest for future reference, checking with the GM to make sure that your plan is possible, before committing suicide.

I tried to, but I sent my request while tamius was offline, and by the time I woke up this morning, the game had been announced over. Granted, it was still a poor decision on my part in hindsight, but I don't think we were winning anyway unless I managed to pull something like this off. I guess I should have made my approval order conditional on the interim for Falc to reject being granted.
