Oh no we lost.

If I'm right, told you so.

Mission 7 - The attack at Honnō-ji
ginko_akichimitsuhideattacksoda.jpg

The attack was glorious! A swift assault left the few defenders scattered and panicked, unable to mount a proper fight.

At the head of the charge, Akechi Mitsuhide himself helped batter down the doors to the temple itself, eager for a man-to-man showdown with the Oda Demon.

Yet, as the doors finally collapsed and the two men found themselves eye to eye, treachery and disaster struck.

Two of his closest confidants turned on Mitsuhide and stabbed him, while out of nowhere reinforcements arrived to rout our troops.

The attack at Honnō-ji is a failure. The Demon from Owari lives and our land of the Rising Sun will be plunged into despair.

Fear the future.

The Mission was SABOTAGED 2 times

Spies Win

I was a spy.

Lessons learned: Be more paranoid, Caesarczech is too stupid to read, and letting a game run for two months is not constructive to a well played experience.

It was me, panzer, tamius/missionary, and Ironhead

It's true, actually. I think the general slowness of this game contributed greatly to our victory. Of course, we also managed to coordinate a single sabotage with 3 spies on a crucial team, so that helped.

Who sabotaged that? I left a hint in my post about only tamius being able to sabotage I wonder if he caught it.

Yet I say again: I told you so.:D

GM afterthoughts:

This game has been going for HOW LONG???

We really need to find a way to move this along faster. I mean, sure, we had 18 proposals, but it took roughly 50 days. 2 days per proposal should be the target...

The purely mathematical approach did not fail. Can't say it truly succeeded though.

There wasn't enough reason for the spies to sabotage early. This was probably exacerbated by the fact they controlled the Ninja Contract from the start. Current line of thinking would be that the number of sabotages needed is <successful resistance missions> - <successful spy missions> with a minimum of 1. This would mean that the spies need 2 sabotages when the resistance is 2-0 up.

Meh, can't say I'm too upset about this one. There's very little to be done when the spies pull off a single sabotage on a mission with three spies on it, and when several Resistance members clearly have no idea what they're doing. Very well done by the spies.

I'm also thinking about enforcing a deadline if I run a game any time soon. Which I might be unable to do if my plans to get a job actually come to fruition.
