Sorry, but you could. It's just that you would then have been better off covering each other.
Sorry, but we couldn't. You could either check with Xarkan's notes or simply think of this: if be both are spies, and the third one is Cyms (by your words, at least), who sabotaged on day 3 out of XTDK?

Also, APPROVE

Approve

It would amuse me if Xarkan didn't approve this time after he did the first time it was proposed, with Falc blocking it that time.

And yeah, I'm pretty confident Cliges and Gliomarto are mutually exclusive, as are Falc and Cymsdale, and myself and Doom Lord. Obviously I'm only supporting a team with me in it, and I'm happy to win or lose on Falc's identity. We'll see about Gliomarto. His Establish Confidence only made sense as a baddie, but Cliges hasn't been convincing.

Looks like it finally comes to an end. I hope that is the happy end.

By the way, a question unrelated to the current game, I'm showing to some guys on another forum wonders of The Resistance, and seeing that No Confidence can be played after vote count to reject approved team, I was asked if it is possible to make conditions on No Confidence usage tied to a specific player changing his vote in private. It seems logical, since when it is known whether the team is approved, every particular vote should be known too, but is it correct? What is an official rule?

Cliges's proposal of:
Cliges
Capt. Kiwi
Falc
Xarkan
Doom Lord

Was rejected 1-7 as follows:

Approve: Cliges
Reject: Gliomarto, Cymsdale, Falc, Tamius, Xarkan, Doom Lord, Capt Kiwi

Three teams have now been rejected.

Falc is the new leader and may now propose a team.

You have to be joking!

You know what, APPROVE

I can't convince people that glio is a Spy, but I can put myself out this torment and deprive the Spies of their sadistic glee in having me making exasperated Cassandra-posts trying to warn everyone. Maybe I can't stop their victory, but I can make them relish it a bit less by having the one guy who knows what the deal is re:glio say "forget this, I've ceased to care". At least it won't be quite so satisfying this way.

If this isn't enough proof that Falc is a spy, I don't know what is.

I regret that we can't lock in votes because I would as it might be the last thing I could do to convince people that I'm serious about glio and anyone sensible would reject. It doesn't bother me that the Spies are approving, but there are already more than three not counting myself, so the Resistance must not be taking this too seriously.

You did yourself no favours. The team you proposed was impossible, based on what we'd openly discussed before you proposed it - no more than one change from the successful team in mission 4. All you had to do was take that team and swap yourself in for Gliomarto, and you might have got it accepted. At the least we would have debated it. But by also putting in Doom Lord, the only way the team would have worked is if there were two spies in mission 4 and both chose to let it pass, despite the win being theirs to grab.

Falc's proposal of:
FALC
TAMIUS
KIWI
XARKAN
GLIOMARTO

Was approved 6-2 as follows:

Approve: Falc, Gliomarto, Tamius, Kiwi, Xarkan, Cliges
Reject: Doom Lord, Cymsdale

Congratulations!

...to the spies.

There was one sabotage, the spies win the game.

It should be fairly obvious, but just in case anyone missed it the spies were: Cymsdale, Doom Lord and Gliomarto.

When I randomed the establish confidence card for Glio I really thought the spies had lost it, so I'm amazed more people didn't pick up on the fact that handing it to Cliges only made sense if Glio was a spy. Only Xarkan seemed to realise that and even he seemed to change his mind and go along with the others.

Cliges really didn't help himself by acting as spyish as possible and actually convincing people that Gliomarto was probably resistance despite the rather overwhelming evidence to the contrary...
