Okay, so I've got all the PMs.

REJECT: Cymsdale
APPROVE: the rest

So the Team of Kingepyon, esemesas, Xarkan and reis91 is approved.

Eagerly awaiting the Mission Actions since I only got one preloaded...

Hey Spies, you realize if two sabotage get thrown down you are pretty much super duper clearing my and Cliges. That's going to be pretty bad for you in the end, so I suggest that you take the risk and assume the *other* spy will ruin the mission. What's the worst that can happen?

It *never* makes sense to approve a 4 person team you are not on, unless you are a spy going for the third point. Do you know how to play this game?

Well, yeah, anyone not on a 4 man team in a 6 player game could make that objection. I was just trying to let kingepyon know in advance that this mission is going to fail unless a spy decided to support it.

Well, I will out myself as a spy, and announce that I intend to make the next mission fail. Please contact me so we can plot the downfall of the resistance.

@ Falc: Any deadline on orders? I want to give my fellow spies the chance to get organized... organization doubles our strengths, after all.

24 hours

O-kay... I know I'm going to catch a huge amount of flak for this, but the rules I wrote are clear:

"This does mean that the Voting periods (for Team Selection or Mission Success) will not have a predictable duration. I will put an upper limit of 24 hours on each, but once I have received all the necessary votes I will proceed with the next step of the game."

(Emphasis added)

So terribly sorry for those whose plans I'm sort of ruining, but this is still a testing game and we'll learn from it for the next one.

We have 2 SABOTAGES on this Mission! It fails!

Next Leader is Cliges.

Cliges, you have a Plot Card to assign:
No Confidence – One time use - The player to whom the Leader passes this card may use this card to reject an approved Mission team (successful Vote). Using this card counts as a failed Vote.

Also, propose a 3-man Mission Team.

Well, it's late and it's Friday. That means that I have had a few.

I did not think that there would be 2 sabotages, though. That means someone who was cool with mission 2 sabotaged this one.

Better think more on this in the morning.

Edit: Falc, if I pass the card, would it go into effect before or after the team that I propose, or is that the choice of the player to whom I pass it? IOW, can they reject my team even in advance of the finalization its approval vote?

Ok, got it.

EDIT I was just a bit confused, because I guess that anyone could send in a request to reject it IF it were approved, even if it has not been already. If they want to reject it no matter what, I guess they could maybe reject it as soon as they get the card
(there is not much practical difference).

Maybe in future games, such a thing could be cleared up in advance.

I hope to have a team proposed roughly 12 hours from the time of this post.

Ok, my team is Team "Let's Hope That This Is A Win For The Resistance".

Members are: Cliges (me) Esemesas, and Cymsdale.

I would beg any resistance member who is not on the team (there has to be one) to accept the team in voting.

See, plan worked, and Reis outed himself, so everything worked out better than expected. Now we have a 2/3 chance of winning this time instead of just 2/4.

It doesn't matter if we win this round. If the resistance can follow bare bones simple logic, we have a 100% of winning the game overall. That is, assuming Reis was telling the truth about being a spy. If this mission fails, Ese is the 2nd spy, and the last round is a no brainer.

I publicly approve of mission team.

And why did you pass the card to Ese? He's not cleared. I would have been the best choice.

The reason you are going to get a lot of flak is because you changed the rules when you said 24 hours, and then changed it back.

"This does mean that the Voting periods (for Team Selection or Mission Success) will not have a predictable duration. I will put an upper limit of 24 hours on each, but once I have received all the necessary votes I will proceed with the next step of the game."

You asked me what the deadline was; I said 24 hours.

You then gave me the last vote I was missing.

Both the rules and the game so far clearly indicated I would move on as soon as I had all the votes, no matter what.

You knew that you were taking this risk, because you explicitly asked me to wait the full 24 hours.

However, I could not accept that request AND adhere to my rules...

I did consider one other option, namely to pause the game while we hash out this rules question. I chose to keep it going and to have the discussion afterwards. Many things should be pointed out and I will certainly bring up a lot of them. You should probably have known that yours was the last vote, for example; after all, I did give out that information on one or two previous occasions. But that should then become systematic and thus by the player when he casts his vote, not when the GM logs in and checks his PMs.

That I knew there was a risk of you doing everything after you received all orders? Of course I knew. Does that force me to withhold my orders just to make sure you are not able to process the turn early? No, it is easier to let the GM know that he should wait the full 24 hours to give other spies the chance to change their orders. It is the same reason why you don't have early deadlines in WW except if everyone agrees even when there's an outing and everyone is voting X, even if all role orders are sent.

Also, you revealed yet more information on the game. Not that it matters much now, but you just confirmed beyond all reasonable doubt that I am a spy, by mentioning that I told you to wait 24 hours.
