You do realise that you're replying to a year and a half old post... Most of the HoI1 mods links are dead, so it isn't all that surprising that this one is too. Sad to see that everybody focuses on HoI2 and forgets about good ole 1...

i wish i had the patience and the skill to make mods.
BUT i think the hardcore modding community moved to fast into hoi2 world and with the new doomsday version have been trumped.
I would had very much liked to have seen an extended version of the hoi1 core mod supported till the 60s or 1981.Also the fantastic TGW mod would have been great with a later scenario from 1917 perhaps or an earlier one starting in 1900 including Russo japenese war and the balklan wars.Maybe one giant game linking the mods Hoi 1900-1960.
Not forgeting the german Final mod that never got a english translation.

Yes its a Shame.I still find Hoi2 to complex and not very playable,its so good its a mind boggle .Also i find the core on hoi1 much more fun with a better map.Hoi2 failed my wishes for more map detail as in the channel islands and more artic and antartic mapping.gzav said:

sorry if this has been asked. Does the sprite packs worth with vanilla HOI 1.06
or do they only work with a modded game. I have had HOI 2 for a long time but it seems too complex so I keep playing 1

My sprites work with all hoi1 games modded or not 1.06c or 1.06 or 1.03b which i started with.,they just drop into your main hoi1 gfx folder and its that simple to make them appear in your games all my sprite threads have info and all sprites come with there own instsall instructions,but they are really simple to add.aafan said:
There are some sprite packs which come with only certain mods and there are some larger sprite packs available to add ,but in my experiance every single one has bugs and problems,which is why i release my sprites as single drop in designs all pre tested.Other peoles work in the forum you often have to sort the mess of files out yourself before you can add them only to find out they have errors.

Hi, I also came back from Hearts of iron 2 to Hoi 1, but it seems to impossible to download any of Your icons/sprites, because stonyroad.de is not accesible for me since few days.
