The Straight Dope on System Requirements, Please

Looking around online, I've found three different, mutually contradictory listings for system requirements for this game.

Can someone tell me what the actual requirements are?

A closely related question: I've got a laptop which probably meets all requirements except for processor speed. Processor is a Pentium III 252MHZ. What happens when one tries to install a program on a system with a too-slow processor? Will it just not run, or will it just run slowly, or will it just run with hiccups? Or does it just depend on the program and the system?

Similar Question: I think the game requires a 4mb graphics card, and I think my laptop may only have a 2mb graphics card. Any chance it would run anyway, even if only with some trouble?

Your system does not meet the minimum specs.
Will it run? the answer is you would need to try it to see, that is really the only answer I can give but I highly doubt if it does run that it would be fast enough to be playable. Sorry.

Hey that's no problem, my main computer will run it fine, I was just wondering what would happen if I put it on my laptop when I go places.
