1. Introduction:

In 2220, the Tebadoran Citizen Union stands as a poor presence in the galactic landscape, forged by a history of oppression, resilience, and a burning desire for retribution. Emerging from a fractured society, the Tebadorans have united under a common cause, fueled by their fanatic militarism, xenophobia, and industrial prowess. Led by the Commander-Chancellor and governed through an indirect and representative democracy, the Tebadoran Citizen Union is an authoritarian state where citizenship and the right to vote is earned through mandatory military service.

2. Historical Background and Rise of the Tebadoran Citizen Union:

The Tebadoran Citizen Union's journey began during a crucial turning point in their development. In a time equivalent to the human renaissance, the Minamar Corporation arrived on their homeworld, initially as benefactors. The Tebadorans welcomed them with open arms. However, their intentions soon turned sinister, as the Minamars sought to enslave the Tebadorans in response to their inability to repay a debt.

The Tebadorans fiercely resisted the invasion, drawing upon their innate resilience and the technology that the Minamar Corporation had brought with them. With determination and bravery, they managed to repel the invaders and secure their freedom. This triumphant victory became the catalyst for the formation of the Tebadoran Citizen Union, a society driven by the twin objectives of safeguarding its citizens and eradicating any potential alien threats.

3. Government and Governance:

1. Executive Branch:

Leader:
Commander-Chancellor
Appointer: Citizen Electorate

The Executive Branch of the Tebadoran Citizen Union is headed by the Commander-Chancellor, who serves as both the political leader and the highest executive authority of the government. The Commander-Chancellor is elected by the Citizen Electorate, which consists of eligible Tebadoran citizens who have the right to vote. This leader is entrusted with the responsibility of representing the interests of the Tebadoran people and ensuring the smooth functioning of the government. The Commander-Chancellor holds significant decision-making powers, including the authority to appoint key officials, propose legislation, and oversee the implementation of policies. Their role is crucial in guiding the direction of the nation and upholding the values and principles of the Tebadoran Citizen Union.

2. Legislative Branch: National Assembly

The Legislative Branch of the Tebadoran Citizen Union is known as the National Assembly. It serves as the primary deliberative and legislative body of the government, responsible for crafting and enacting laws that govern the nation. The National Assembly consists of representatives elected by the Tebadoran citizens to ensure a democratic and representative decision-making process. Members of the National Assembly come from diverse backgrounds and political parties, bringing forth different perspectives and ideas to shape the legislative agenda. Through rigorous debates, discussions, and voting procedures, the National Assembly determines the laws, policies, and regulations that impact the Tebadoran society. Its purpose is to serve as a voice for the people and ensure the enactment of legislation that aligns with the interests and welfare of the Tebadoran Citizen Union.

3. Judicial Branch: High Court of the Tebadoran Citizen Union

The Judicial Branch of the Tebadoran Citizen Union is administered by the esteemed institution known as the High Court of the Tebadoran Citizen Union. The High Court serves as the highest judicial authority in the nation, responsible for interpreting the law, adjudicating legal disputes, and upholding justice. Comprising experienced and knowledgeable judges, the High Court ensures the fair and impartial application of the law, safeguarding the rights and liberties of Tebadoran citizens. It acts as the final arbiter in legal matters, providing legal certainty and maintaining the integrity of the judicial system. The judges of the High Court are appointed based on their legal expertise and are entrusted with the vital task of safeguarding the principles and values enshrined in the Tebadoran legal system. Through their judgments and decisions, the High Court plays a crucial role in maintaining the rule of law and ensuring justice for all within the Tebadoran Citizen Union.

The Tebadoran Citizen Union operates similar to that of the Roman Empire. A highly militarized democracy, where a national assembly, comprising of the most capable commanders as well as politicians assume the reins of power. The national assembly is the legislative body of the Tebadoran Citizen Union. This government is a militaristic form of democracy, where full citizenship can only be gained through military service. The voting franchise is limited to full citizens, and they are the only ones allowed to hold public offices. The national assembly along with the Commander-Chancellor is voted in by the citizenry.

The Commander-Chancellor, chosen every twenty years through a direct vote by the citizens, wields considerable authority over military affairs and state governance.

4. Species:

The Tebadorans, a reptilian species, possess traits that make them adaptable engineers with rapid breeding capabilities. Their fleeting lifespan means the average Tebadoran is ten years shorter than that of the average human.

5. Ethics, Civics, and Policies:

Ethics: The Tebadoran Citizen Union's ethics are firmly rooted in fanatic militarism, xenophobia, industrialism, and materialism. They place a paramount emphasis on the defense and well-being of their own kind, viewing outsiders with suspicion and hostility. While their society upholds freedoms such as freedom of speech and freedom of the press, there are restrictions on opinions that challenge the public narrative, highlighting the government's authoritarian tendencies. After all, what if those idiots have the wrong opinions?

Civics: The Tebadoran Citizen Union's civics reflect their militaristic and industrial priorities. The stratocracy civic ensures that only those who have completed mandatory military service are granted citizenship and the right to vote. The militarized industry civic shifts their industrial output toward military production, resulting in technologically advanced and superior weaponry. Their ships and weapons are of highest quality, but quite expensive to maintain.

Their scientific research focuses on applied military technology, while industrial automation fuels rapid economic growth and expansion.

Religion:

Despite the government's promotion of materialism, the Tebadoran Citizen Union is secular in its beliefs, with many small religions. Their religion is largely seen as a personal matter, with no one faith holding sway over the society as a whole. However, religious affairs are supossed to be kept largely private and large-scale institutionalization of religion is not allowed, so that it wouldn’t undermine the government’s ideals. So, while religions are generally banned in public life, private expressions of faith are allowed.

Policies:

The Tebadoran Citizen Union is a social state which genuinely cares for its citizenry. This doesn’t mean that is isn’t ready to sacrifice soldiers in galactic wars. This would be seen as a necessary evil for the greater good: to ensure the safety and well-being of all citizens.

Free health care and public education are implemented, with decent living conditions. The government ensures that the basic needs of every citizen are taken care of, however, in the early stages of the Tebadoran Citizen Union, which was established around 2194, it was particularily difficult, as the infrastructure was still fairly weakened.

Their foreign policy is characterized as belligerent and supremacist, with aliens being enslaved and some utilized as livestock. The Tebadoran Citizen Union's political system encourages political pluralism but maintains strong social, political, and religious cohesion. While the Tebadorans like to expand, they can evaluate their capabilities of governance and may choose to vassalize empires instead of subsuming them.

Normally, the Tebadoran high-command opines that the best defense is a good offense, but especially in the beginning, the Tebadoran government can evaluate their capabilities very well. They know that they have to ensure a stable economy to be able to maintain a big military.

War Philosophy:

Tebadoran war philosophy suggest a swift and brutal war. In the beginning, the Tebadorans seek to overwhelm their enemy with immense naval power. In the next stage, terror bombing of planets takes place. In this stage, the planets are heavily bombardet with no regard for civilian lives. The bombardment seeks to destroy enemy infrastructure necessary to wage war. At the same time, the obliteration of major population centers ensures that enemy morale goes down and that the population goes down in general.

In the third and final stage, the planets are invaded by the army (ground forces), if the Commander-Chancellor and the military high-command doesn’t decide to bomb the planets to complete annihilation.

Basically, the idea is to destroy your enemy early, so that he is unable to wage war, and then take advantage.

6. Homeworld:

Rax’Kana: Dry rocky world with a nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere. This subtropical landscape is covered in scrub woodlands and open savannahs. This world has mild winters and hot long summers.

7. Freedoms of Rights:

Freedom of speech and freedom of press is generally free, but the Tebadoran Citizen Union's government is rather authoritarian when it comes to opinions that interfere with the public narrative. Citizens (only Tebadorans, all other species are enslaved) have their rights which cannot be infringed, but not the same as we have them in the human United Nations. For instance, Tebadorans may be forcefully resettled to another planet if the governemt feels like more workers are needed elsewhere. Otherwise, a constitution with strict codes exists that cannot be disregarded by the ruler, the Commander-Chancellor.

8. The first Commander-Chancellor, Hask’Pagram:

Hask'Pagram was born on the arid planet of Rax’Kana, a world known for its harsh conditions and resilient inhabitants. From a young age, Hask'Pagram displayed exceptional leadership skills and a natural talent for strategic thinking. His innate abilities, combined with his unwavering dedication to the Tebadoran cause, propelled him to become one of the most influential figures in the history of the Tebadoran Citizen Union.

Growing up in a society still fractured by various states and cultures, Hask'Pagram witnessed firsthand the struggles of his people. He witnessed the invasion of the Minamar Corporation and the subsequent fight for freedom and independence. This experience ignited a fervent passion within him to protect his people and ensure that no other empire could threaten their sovereignty again.

As a young warrior, Hask'Pagram distinguished himself on the battlefield with his tactical brilliance and unwavering courage. His decisive victories against formidable enemies earned him the respect and admiration of his fellow Tebadorans. Recognizing his leadership qualities, he swiftly rose through the ranks of the Tebadoran military, earning the loyalty and trust of his comrades.

When the time came for the Tebadoran Provisional Government to establish its first Commander-Chancellor, Hask'Pagram was the obvious choice. His military prowess, combined with his deep understanding of Tebadoran values and unwavering commitment to their cause, made him the ideal leader for this fledgling empire. With overwhelming support from the citizens, Hask'Pagram assumed the mantle of Commander-Chancellor and established the new state, the Tebadoran Citizen Union, in 2193 taking on the immense responsibility of guiding the Tebadoran people into a prosperous and secure future.

As Commander-Chancellor, Hask'Pagram faced numerous challenges, both external and internal. He dedicated himself to forging a cohesive society, bridging the gaps between the different Tebadoran states and cultures. He enacted policies that emphasized military strength, scientific advancement, and industrial growth, all aimed at ensuring the security and prosperity of the Tebadoran Citizen Union.

Under Hask'Pagram's leadership, the Tebadoran military became a force to be reckoned with. However, this strenght remained to be a planetary one. He implemented innovative training programs, fostering a warrior culture that celebrated discipline, athleticism, and dedication to the cause. His commitment to technological advancement led to the development of advanced weapons and ships, bolstering the military's strength and ensuring their superiority in conflicts.

Beyond his military achievements,
Screenshot 2023-06-17 200102.png
Hask'Pagram sought to establish the Tebadoran Citizen Union as a beacon of unity and strength among the stars.

Throughout his rule, Hask'Pagram remained steadfast in his devotion to the Tebadoran cause and the welfare of its citizens. He implemented social welfare programs to ensure that every Tebadoran had access to basic necessities and lived with dignity.

Hask'Pagram's legacy as the First Commander-Chancellor of the Tebadoran Citizen Union is one of strength, unity, and unwavering commitment. His leadership and strategic acumen paved the way for the empire's growth and ensured its survival in a hostile galaxy. His name would forever be etched in the annals of Tebadoran history, revered as a symbol of resilience and determination.

2200-2215
The Buildup: In the year 2200, the Tebadorans found themselves on a desolate planet, ravaged by the recent war with the Minamars. Devastation covered 70% of the planet, leaving behind a haunting scene of destruction. The landscape was strewn with the wreckage of tanks, weapons, and the macabre remnants of fallen soldiers. Craters pockmarked the surface, serving as reminders of the chaos that had unfolded. Despite the bleakness, the Tebadorans experienced a miraculous technological ascent, propelled from the equivalent of the human Renaissance to an era of advanced progress within a single generation. They conquered diseases that had plagued them and marveled at their newfound supremacy. However, with the retreat of the Minamars, the intricate infrastructure they relied on for their prosperity began to crumble.

Gene clinics and other amenities became difficult to maintain. While some Tebadorans yearned for the return of the Minamars, viewing their former oppressors as providers of opulence, the prevailing sentiment among the populace and the government was to endure their hardship rather than submit to slavery. The planet's orbit, too, mirrored the chaos below, littered with fragments of shattered starships and remnants of interstellar conflict. In 2201, a cleanup process was commissioned, setting out to reclaim the planet from the clutches of debris.

By mid-2202, news arrived that the cleanup effort was well underway, with approximately 50% of the space debris successfully cleared. Hope flickered amidst the remnants of destruction. By 2204, the sky above the Tebadoran homeworld was finally cleansed of the remnants of war, unveiling a vast expanse of possibilities. It was then that Minister of Science Hask'Guron received the auspicious assignment to lead an expedition to investigate the warship once crewed by the Minamars. A newly constructed science vessel was placed under his command, poised to venture forth.

Hask'Guron's expertise in excavation and archaeology made him an ideal candidate. However, the ambitious Hask'Pagram, seeking swift results, decided to replace Hask'Guron with the capable and admired scientist, Hask'Kurnir, as Minister of Research. The decision, though unexpected, was met without backlash.

In 2208, as the excavation crew led by Hask'Guron delved into the ancient vessel, they stumbled upon a haunting discovery: the preserved corpses of the Minamar crew. It was a macabre stroke of fortune for Hask'Pagram, who seized the opportunity to parade the corpses through the capital of Rax'Kana for propagandistic purposes. Later, he ordered the dissection of the corpses for scientific inquiry, extracting knowledge from the remnants of a fallen enemy.

The year 2210 brought a new challenge as the gene clinics, once symbols of hope and progress, started to crumble, causing a decline in Tebadoran public health. Hask'Pagram, ever the shrewd leader, saw an opportunity in the face of adversity. He issued a decree to repurpose the failing gene clinics into a monumental testament of the Tebadorans' resilience, a symbol for propaganda purposes. Simultaneously, he doubled the investment in medical research, determined to counter the decline in healthcare quality.

Amidst these trials, a message reached Hask'Pagram in 2210, carrying with it a demand for the Tebadorans to repay not only their existing debt but also war reparations. The price, an astronomical sum encompassing every fallen Minamar soldier and destroyed warship, seemed laughable to Hask'Pagram. The Minamar Empire lay distant and out of reach, their garrison on Rax'Kana annihilated. However, the announced arrival of a peculiar group of debt collectors, armed with a small fleet, brought an unsettling realization: the Minamars had contracted outsiders to pursue their debts, unsettling the fragile equilibrium on Rax'Kana. The Tebadorans had five years until the reckoning.

Early Exploration and Expansion: In the vast expanse of the galaxy's inner-rim, the Tebadoran Citizen Union found its home system nestled in the western reaches.

Only two months into the year 2200, the Tebadorans experienced their first contact with an elusive empire known as the Giroan Chroniclers, a fallen empire with millennia of history. The Giroans, being materialist in nature, held no immediate hostility toward the Tebadorans. However, their disinterest in other empires rendered them largely detached from external affairs. The conversation between the Tebadorans and the Giroans was brief, their interaction asymmetrical.
Screenshot 2023-06-17 212040.png

Nevertheless, Commander-Chancellor Hask'Pagram addressed his citizens, proclaiming the significance of this encounter. "We always knew we were not alone in the universe," he declared. "But this is our second encounter with a space-faring civilization. The age and technological prowess of these aliens' civilization are awe-inspiring. They are different from us, yet they emanate an aura of serenity. Perhaps, among the stars, there is goodness to be found."

Three months later, under the leadership of the esteemed female scientist Torba'Daggasch, the Tebadorans embarked on their first foray into the nearby "Sinistra" system, harboring a potentially colonizable steppe world. The Tebadoran vessel meticulously surveyed the system, unveiling the challenges that lay ahead. The steppe world, burdened by high gravity, presented an arduous prospect for colonization.

Nontheless, the Tebadoran leadership recognized the significance of expanding their horizons for both survival and economic prosperity. The discovery of this habitable world ignited a fervor for exploring and understanding other potential havens for their people, leading to the initiation of the "Habitable World Survey" program. During the same exploration mission, Torba'Daggasch's science ship unearthed artifacts from an ancient civilization known as the Irassian Concordat.

These enigmatic beings, long extinct due to a devastating pandemic, once reigned over this corner of the galaxy more than a million years ago. Little else was gleaned about their enigmatic existence, leaving the Tebadorans yearning for more knowledge and answers. In 2203, an initiative to survey the stars was authorized by Hask'Pagram, heralding an era of expanding knowledge and exploration. However, the initial surveying efforts faced obstacles, impeded by a weakened economy and other factors, prolonging their reach into the unknown.

Contact with the Hydarian Empire: The year 2204 brought an unexpected turn of events as Tebadoran communication channels intercepted signals emanating from the Haegga system, a mere two systems west of their home system, Rax. By 2211, communications had been established with the Hydarian Empire, revealing a hereditary absolute monarchy functioning as a colossal bandit commune. This warlike empire harbored a hostile disposition toward the Tebadorans, perceiving them as potential targets for conquest. While reptilian in nature like the Tebadorans, the Hydarians exhibited little camaraderie, remaining entrenched in their own insular pursuits.

In an attempt to salvage relations, Hask'Pagram dispatched a delegation to the Hydarian Empire, hoping to forge a mutually beneficial agreement. However, the mission did not bear any fruits, as the Hydarians showed little interest in diplomacy. This event served as a grim reminder of the treacherous galaxy they inhabited and the necessity of maintaining a vigilant stance against potential adversaries.

2215-2233
In the year 2215, amidst the untamed landscapes of Pan'Dassak, a steppe world shimmering with possibilities, a captivating political anomaly unfolded. The pristine colony, freshly established, became a fertile breeding ground for diverse political factions. Anticipated to become a turbulent political cauldron, Pan'Dassak defied expectations. Astonishingly, the colonists displayed an unwavering allegiance to the principles of governance as fervently as their counterparts on the capital planet, Rax'Kana. A harmonious synchrony of political ethics echoed through the hearts of the Pan'Dassak settlers, defying the chaos that had been predicted.

In the far reaches of the cosmos, in a system reachable by a single cosmic leap, Nolyon I, a resplendent alpine world, harbored a civilization yet unacquainted with the wonders of space travel. This extraordinary society, resembling a gestalt consciousness, comprised billions of mindless beings interwoven by a single mastermind. However, it wasn't until several years had passed that the profound observation of this enigmatic civilization commenced.

The year 2216 witnessed a transformative act of compassion and progress on Rax'Kana. The sprawling slums, a testament to the rapid enlightenment ushered in by the Minamars, were officially eradicated by the decree of Hask'Pagram, the beacon of change. Millions of Tebadorans, who once languished in precarious circumstances within those impoverished quarters, were bestowed with newfound opportunities. As miners, farmers, technicians, and clerks, they embarked on a journey of empowerment, while the benevolent social welfare policies of Hask'Pagram provided them with dignified housing.

Screenshot 2023-06-18 185023.png
Urban slums on Rax'Kana, a testimony of rapid population growth due to the Minamar "uplifting".

Confronted with a looming food shortage, Hask'Pagram proactively designated additional lands on Rax'Kana for agricultural pursuits. The urgent need for sustenance propelled the creation of numerous farmer positions, swiftly distributed among the populace. However, sacrifices had to be made, and some occupations, such as clerical roles, had to be temporarily relinquished, for the greater good.
During this epoch, the Tebadoran Security Agency (TSA) demonstrated its mettle by executing a series of flawlessly executed intelligence-gathering operations within the Hydarian Empire. This resounding success showcased the burgeoning capabilities of Hask'Pagram's newly formed intelligence agency. The intelligence acquired through these operations held vital significance, laying the groundwork for forthcoming diplomatic maneuvers poised to shape the tides of the future.

Now, turning our gaze towards the Hydarians, an absolute monarchy steeped in fanatic militarism, spiritualism, xenophobia, and authoritarianism, we witness a tumultuous dance of power reminiscent of the Cold War era. As contact was established, the Hydarians swiftly embarked on a grand naval construction endeavor, assembling a formidable armada comprising no fewer than 60 corvettes by the year 2225. Sensing the impending storm, the Tebadoran high command initiated fortification measures to bolster their ground defenses, preparing for the contingencies that lay ahead. Hask'Pagram, equally cognizant of the challenges, oversaw the meticulous construction of corvettes armed with enhanced blue lasers, augmenting their firepower. Nevertheless, the Hydarian Empire retained a stronger economic foundation, their resources dwarfing those of the Tebadorans. The substantial cost of this naval buildup amounted to several billion citizen-credits, straining the coffers of the Tebadoran economy.

In 2217, the heavens above Rax'Kana witnessed a momentous rebirth as the shattered remains of a decimated battleship, once belonging to the Minamar Corporation, were meticulously restored and integrated into the formidable 1st Strike Force of the Tebadoran space fleet. This newly christened warship, the TCU Hask'Pagram, stood as a symbol of raw power and technological prowess. Its enigmatic capabilities, yet to be fully comprehended by the Tebadoran engineers themselves, imbued the fleet with unparalleled might. The celestial power balance teetered as the Tebadoran navy towered over its Hydarian counterpart, instilling a sense of trepidation in the hearts of the Hydarians themselves...

It was a cool night on Rax'Kana. The office of the Commander-Chancellor was located in the highest governmental building, surrounded by numerous other structures designated for bureaucratic purposes:

The 70 year old Hask'Pagram held a pen in his hand, its slender form slipping through his fingers as he contemplated the weighty decision before him. Alone in his office on the sprawling planet of Rax'Kana, the midnight hour enveloped the room in an eerie stillness, broken only by the occasional flicker of starlight filtering through the window blinds.

His eyes scanned the meticulously organized shelves, adorned with ancient tomes and holographic projections depicting the vast expanse of the Tebadoran Empire. The scent of aged parchment mingled with the faint aroma of an alcoholic beverage, its amber hue shimmering in a crystal glass before him. The Commander-Chancellor's fingers drummed nervously against the polished mahogany desk, echoing the cadence of his racing thoughts.

In the orbit of Rax’Kana, the Tebadoran fleet loomed, a formidable force ready to unleash its wrath upon the Hydarian Empire. The power imbalance favored his forces, the newly restored TCU Hask'Pagram a towering symbol of supremacy. Yet, amidst the temptation to seize the advantage and launch a swift, decisive blow, doubts gnawed at the recesses of Hask'Pagram's mind.

The scent of war lingered in the air, accompanied by the undeniable allure of victory. He envisioned the mighty Tebadoran armada descending upon Hydarian colonies, their conquests unfolding in a blaze of celestial fury. The enemy would quiver in fear, their fortifications unable to withstand the onslaught of his fleet.

But in the depths of his introspection, Hask'Pagram recognized the complexities of the cosmic chessboard. A preemptive strike risked unintended consequences, provoking a fierce retaliation from the Hydarians. The gap in naval strength might rapidly close, as they poured their resources into fortifying their defenses. Would the momentary advantage be enough to offset the cost of a prolonged conflict? Could he bear the weight of countless lives lost in the pursuit of dominance?

His gaze fixated on the holographic projection before him, the celestial map adorned with glowing indicators of Tebadoran and Hydarian territory. The fate of empires hinged on his decision, a choice that would reverberate through the annals of history.

Fingers trembling, Hask'Pagram set down the pen and took a deep breath, savoring the interplay of anticipation and trepidation that danced within his chest. He reached for the glass, its cool surface soothing against his palm, and took a contemplative sip. As the liquid caressed his lips, his mind cleared, and a resolute determination settled within him.

In that moment, Hask'Pagram made his choice. He would not succumb to the allure of a swift victory, for he knew the true measure of a leader lay in their ability to exercise restraint, to deliberate and consider the consequences of their actions.

The Tebadoran fleet would bide its time, honing their strategies and preparing for the challenges ahead. Patience would be their greatest weapon.

With a flick of his wrist, he set the glass aside and leaned back in his chair, his gaze fixed upon the starry vista outside the window. The night sky held a tapestry of possibilities, and as Hask'Pagram nervously twirled the pen between his fingers, he felt a profound weight lifted from his shoulders. The path forward may be fraught with uncertainty, but he was determined to navigate it with wisdom and conviction.

The midnight hour stretched on, as Hask'Pagram, the Commander-Chancellor of the Tebadoran Citizen Union, continued his solitary vigil, the quiet hum of contemplation enveloping his office and the fate of galaxies hanging in the balance.

Driven by the newfound fear of imminent attack, the Hydarians hastily channeled their resources into fortifying their army, rapidly closing the gap in naval strength between the two empires. Despite the fleeting temptation to launch a preemptive strike during this fleeting window of superiority, Commander-Chancellor Hask'Pagram exhibited measured restraint and opted for cautious deliberation, choosing to bide his time.
Between 2217 and 2220, the Tebadorans remained steadfast in their pursuit of naval supremacy, expanding their fleet to encompass 22 corvettes. Meanwhile, their territorial claims extended, broadening the expanse of their dominion across uncharted star systems, although new planetary colonies were yet to be established.

The year 2220 ushered in a pivotal moment of democratic choice as the electorate embraced the opportunity to elect a new Commander-Chancellor. Among the contenders was the indomitable incumbent, Hask'Pagram himself, vying for re-election. Alongside him stood Hask'Tibak, the esteemed Minister of Defense, revered for his military prowess and adored by the citizenry. Torba'Hassadra, the formidable governor of the Rax'Kana sector, with her extensive knowledge of economics and geography, sought to leave her indelible mark on history. Notably, former Minister of Research, Hask'Guron, and Hask'Kurnir, the incumbent Minister of Research, threw their hats into the electoral ring, albeit facing challenging odds. In a resounding testament to his enduring leadership and unwavering principles, Hask'Pagram emerged triumphant in the 2220 election, securing his position as Commander-Chancellor for another term. The next electoral chapter would unfold in the year 2240, the culmination of a two-decade-long tenure.

By the year 2222, the Hydarians persisted in their naval expansion, while the Tebadorans pursued a more measured pace, meticulously crafting their fleet. Concurrently, the Tebadorans ventured deeper into uncharted frontiers, charting unexplored star systems and staking their claims on these untamed cosmic realms. Under the astute guidance of Hask'Pagram, the Tebadoran economy flourished, showcasing a steadfast ascent.

In the midst of the grand tapestry of events, the year 2224 bore witness to the colonization of Na'Valus, a nascent planet adorned with sweeping savannahs. Though its economic infrastructure remained nascent, the wheels of progress were set in motion, as the seeds of prosperity took root. Na'Valus, nestled within a star system three leaps away, beckoned as a beacon of future potential.

In the year 2225, an observation station was unveiled, casting a watchful eye upon Nolyon I, the enigmatic realm of the gestalt consciousness civilization. Meanwhile, the Tebadoran Security Agency achieved a momentous coup by securing a prized asset—an official within the Hydarian civic hierarchy, a lowly clerk yearning for a taste of adventure amid the mundanity of his existence. Little did he know that his collaboration with the TSA would play a pivotal role in unraveling the fate of the Hydarian Empire, ultimately sealing its demise.

The clerk, now entrusted with supporting the intelligence-gathering operations of the TSA, found himself propelled into a clandestine world fraught with intrigue and danger. In the shadows, the stage was set for a battle of wits and secrets, a struggle that would sway the tides of interstellar affairs.

Tragedy struck in 2226 when Hask'Guron, the ardent archaeologist and scientist, embarked on a perilous expedition to excavate an ancient alien vessel on Epsilon Cygni VI. A miscalculated step triggered a web of lethal laser grids, rending the ranks of scientists and researchers asunder. Though Hask'Guron emerged unscathed from this grim ordeal, he lamented the profound loss of his colleagues, acknowledging the detrimental impact it cast upon the project's progress.

Simultaneously, Commander-Chancellor Hask'Pagram honed his mastery in the delicate art of economic management, orchestrating a symphony of rapid industrialization. The formidable 1st Strike Force burgeoned to comprise 40 corvettes, bolstered by the inclusion of the restored Minamar battleship, the TCU Hask'Pagram. This moment marked a seismic shift in the balance of power, as Tebadoran intelligence unveiled a startling revelation—the grand Hydarian fleet was conspicuously absent from its home system, rendering it vulnerable. Unbeknownst to the Tebadorans, a clandestine conflict simmered between the Hydarians and an enigmatic adversary. Recognizing the fleeting window of opportunity, Hask'Pagram seized the moment.

Following consultations with the Minister of Defense and the national assembly, resistance proved scant, and on the 14th of March, 2226, the Tebadoran Citizen Union formally declared war on the Hydarian Empire. Their objective was crystal clear: to seize all Hydarian colonies and systems, ultimately subsuming their empire under the dominion of the Tebadorans.

War, with its grim countenance and dire consequences, loomed on the horizon, its narrative waiting to unfold. The fate of empires hung in the balance, as the two interstellar behemoths braced themselves for a cataclysmic clash, their destinies intertwined, and their actions forever etched in the annals of cosmic history.

Indeed, the Tebadoran Citizen Union is about to become what it has sworn to defend its own people from: slavers and warmongers. Is it hypocrisy? Is the agenda of Tebadoran government in reality just a justification for imperialism? Or is it just a necessary evil to subjugate other species in order to secure the safety of your own?

War Report: The Rise of the Tebadoran Empire
Date: 24.03.2226 – 01.02.2233 (2553 days)

As the war between the Tebadoran Citizen Union and the Hydarian Empire unfolded, Hask'Pagram, the esteemed Commander-Chancellor, found himself immersed in the relentless pursuit of victory. From his office on Rax'Kana, he oversaw the strategic maneuvers and witnessed the unfolding of a conflict that would forever alter the galactic landscape.

The war was formally declared on the 24th of March 2226 by the Tebadoran Citizen Union, with a fervent response from the Hydarians, their retort dripping with bravado and a misguided sense of invincibility. However, their overconfidence would soon crumble beneath the relentless might of the Tebadoran forces. Hask'Pagram, aware of the significance of the moment, rallied the citizenry with a patriotic call, igniting a surge of naval capacity, bolstering army morale, and attracting devoted minds to the governing ethics of the Union.

The turning point arrived on the 23.08.2227, when the decisive Battle of Vuza’Baru took place. In the heart of the Hydarian Empire, their main planet stood as the ultimate prize. The clash between the Tebadoran and Hydarian fleets concluded on the 05.11.2227, leaving the Hydarians reeling from a staggering loss of twenty corvettes. In contrast, the Tebadoran fleet suffered a mere four casualties, cementing their dominance among the stars.

The aftermath: Decisive Tebadoran victory

Amidst the turmoil of war, contact with the enigmatic Grollferp State was established. However, the Tebadorans, consumed by the demands of the conflict, had little time for diplomacy, focusing their energies on the relentless pursuit of victory.

In early 2228, Hask'Pagram, recognizing the need to secure the conquest, ordered the construction of the 1st Tebadoran Citizen Army. This grand army, under the command of the promising 28-year-old Hask'Jugir, previously serving as special operations officer, comprised ten individual armies, each with a strength of fifty million men. The formidable force added up to an astounding half a billion soldiers, unified in their dedication to the Tebadoran cause. Though women served as snipers or in fleet roles to minimize casualties, their contribution was invaluable.

The subsequent battles saw the Hydarians resort to desperate measures, attempting to retake their home system and reclaim lost ground. However, the tides of war favored the Tebadorans, as they repelled the Hydarian fleet once more, losing only one corvette in the process. Victory seemed within reach, and yet new encounters awaited them in the form of the isolationist "Order of the Abyss," a species dwelling on a unique hycean world, entirely covered in water.

In the middle of 2229, reinforced by six additional corvettes, the 1st Strike Force returned to the Vuza'Baru system, where the battered planet Ubaria stood. Bombardment from orbit commenced, with Hask'Pagram's directive to minimize civilian casualties, recognizing the potential value of enslaved Hydarians. Indiscriminate destruction marred the face of Ubaria, though greater strategic bombardment targeted Hydarian planetary defense armies.

Beyond the theater of war, Tebadoran scientific staff achieved a monumental breakthrough in 2230, reverse-engineering gene clinics and proving their capacity to ascend to the stars through their own ingenuity. The accomplishment left Hask'Pagram beaming with pride for his people.

On 07.02.2230, the 1st Tebadoran Citizen Army, boasting 500 million soldiers, descended upon Ubaria. Ravaged by previous bombardments, the planet's infrastructure faltered, allowing the invasion to progress swiftly. Superior Tebadoran weaponry and tactics proved devastating, culminating in the fall of Ubaria on 09.04.2230. However, the cost was steep, with the Tebadorans losing one hundred million soldiers in the process.

Before the Invasion: Bombing of Ubaria

The skies above Ubaria, a desolate dune world, were soon ablaze with the fiery fury of the Tebadoran bombardment. In the prelude to the invasion, the Tebadoran fleet positioned in orbit unleashed a relentless onslaught of atomic warheads and precision-guided hydrogen bombs, targeting the strategic assets and infrastructure of the Hydarian capital. The storm of destruction rained down upon the planet, wreaking havoc and transforming the once-thriving cityscape into a smoldering wasteland. The bombardment, with its calculated precision and ruthless efficiency, aimed not only to weaken the enemy's defenses but also to create a theater of chaos and terror, playing into the hands of the Tebadoran conquerors.

The Army of the Tebadorans: The Tebadoran Citizen Army

At the forefront of the invasion stood the formidable Tebadoran Citizen Army, a force of unprecedented scale and ambition. Comprising ten individual armies, each numbering fifty million soldiers, the Tebadoran forces amassed a staggering 500 million men and women, eager to embark upon the first interplanetary conquest in their nation's history. Their ranks were filled with fervent patriotism and an unwavering loyalty to the Tebadoran Citizen Union, their mighty empire.

Led by the seasoned Commander Hask'Jugir, a rising star in the Tebadoran military hierarchy, the Tebadoran Citizen Army epitomized discipline and dedication. Hask'Jugir, known for his unwavering commitment to the cause and tactical brilliance, inspired his troops with a sense of purpose and unity. He meticulously organized his forces, devising strategies that would capitalize on their strengths and exploit the weaknesses of the Hydarian defenders.

Tebadoran Army Tactics and Strategy: Invasion of a Planet

The invasion of Ubaria was not merely a conventional military campaign; it was a colossal endeavor that required the Tebadoran forces to adapt to the unforgiving nature of the planet itself. The Tebadorans studied the art of desert warfare, refining their tactics and weaponry to suit the inhospitable environment. They knew that victory hinged not only on their military prowess but also on their ability to conquer the very essence of Ubaria.

With meticulous planning and relentless determination, the Tebadoran high command orchestrated a synchronized assault on multiple fronts. They recognized the importance of securing key strategic points, neutralizing the Ubarian defenses, and establishing a firm foothold on the planet. The Tebadorans meticulously charted their progress, inch by inch, dune by dune, ensuring that their campaign unfolded with ruthless efficiency.

The Ubarian Geology and Climate: A Harsh Battlefront

Ubaria, a hot and rocky planet characterized by vast deserts and shifting dunes, tested the resolve and adaptability of the invading forces. Its climate was an unrelenting adversary, with blistering heat during the day and bone-chilling cold at night. The ever-present sandstorms, colossal behemoths of wind and sand, enveloped the battlefield, obscuring visibility and disorienting both friend and foe.

Navigating the treacherous terrain required specialized vehicles designed to conquer the unforgiving dunes. The Tebadorans introduced the Sandcrosser tanks, heavily armored vehicles equipped with powerful railguns capable of piercing through enemy fortifications. These massive war machines rumbled across the sand, leaving behind deep tracks as they forged ahead, crushing any opposition in their path.

Ubarian Defenses: Last Stand and Urban Warfare

As the Tebadoran forces pushed deeper into Ubaria, they encountered the stubborn resistance of the Hydarian defenders. The Ubarian military, fiercely loyal to their Emperor Thaloth, fought valiantly, employing both traditional and guerrilla warfare tactics. The Ubarians knew that their planet was their sanctuary, their last bastion against the encroaching Tebadoran empire, and they were prepared to defend it to the last breath.

In the urban centers of Ubaria, where towering buildings once symbolized civilization, the stage was set for a brutal clash of ideologies. The Tebadorans, unyielding in their pursuit of dominance, unleashed the might of their mechanized infantry units. Clad in Maelstrom battle suits, the Tebadoran soldiers emerged as unstoppable forces of destruction. Armed with a lethal array of weaponry, they scoured the dilapidated streets, flushing out pockets of resistance with unflinching brutality, leaving behind a trail of devastation.

Propaganda: Emperor Thaloth's Desperate Pleas

Emperor Thaloth, a proud and defiant ruler, recognized the gravity of the situation. As the Tebadoran invasion tightened its grip on Ubaria, he rallied his people, appealing to their sense of nationalistic pride and urging them to fight to the bitter end. Thaloth's propaganda machine churned out impassioned speeches, painting the Tebadorans as soulless oppressors, hell-bent on enslaving the Hydarian populace.

In his desperate attempts to galvanize his people, Emperor Thaloth spoke of heroism and sacrifice, emphasizing the importance of defending their way of life against the encroaching Tebadoran tyranny. His words resonated with many, instilling a sense of defiance that would be tested in the crucible of war.

The Confidence of the Tebadoran High Command: The Price of Conquest

Confidence permeated the ranks of the Tebadoran high command as they embarked upon their first interplanetary conquest. They believed their superior military might and strategic planning would ensure a swift and decisive victory. Yet, the trials of Ubaria would prove that conquest came at a staggering cost.

The Tebadoran Citizen Army, initially numbering 500 million men and women, saw its ranks dwindle as the brutal realities of war unfolded. The dunes of Ubaria claimed the lives of a hundred million Tebadoran soldiers, a heavy toll that would forever stain the sands with the blood of the fallen. Despite the fact that the conquest went on for a only a mere two months. The Tebadoran high command, while unyielding in their pursuit of victory, could not escape the realization that conquest exacted a steep price, even for an empire as mighty as theirs. But Hydarian losses were high, too. They likely were higher than that of the Tebadorans, but in the wake of the chaos, no one could tell
As the dust settled and the echoes of battle faded, Ubaria stood conquered, its people subdued, and the Tebadoran flag flying high. The invasion had forever reshaped the destiny of both worlds, leaving behind scars and stories that would be told for generations to come. The Tebadorans had proven their capacity for interplanetary domination, but at what cost? Only time would reveal the true implications of their conquest and the enduring legacy of their brutal campaign on the dunes of Ubaria.

Tragedy struck when the vile lithoid race known as the debt collectors arrived, seeking retribution. Utilizing advanced cloaking technology yet to be understood by the Tebadoran scientists, the debt collectors revealed their presence in the Rax system. Their fleet, consisting of six corvettes, managed to overwhelm the Tebadoran space fortress. Seeing as the Tebadoran fleet was occupied in the engagement with the Hydarian Empire, the debt collectors began abducting Tebadoran citizens from the planet of Rax’Kana, as the Tebadorans were not only unwilling, but also unable to, repay their debt. Despite Hask'Pagram's valiant efforts, they managed to capture hundreds of thousands of Tebadorans, destined for a life of slavery. To prevent their suffering, Hask'Pagram made the heart-wrenching decision to order the destruction of the ships carrying the captive Tebadorans, sacrificing them to spare a fate worse than death.

As the news reached Hask'Pagram's office, the weight of the situation bore down upon his weary shoulders. The debt collectors, those vile lithoid beings, had seized a multitude of Tebadorans, destined to be enslaved—a bitter reprisal for their previous losses. A surge of anger and helplessness coursed through his veins, his mind racing to find a solution.
Sitting alone in the midnight stillness of his office on Rax'Kana, Hask'Pagram's gaze fell upon the reports before him, detailing the immense suffering that awaited those captured Tebadorans. His hand nervously gripped the glass containing his alcoholic beverage, his fingers absentmindedly playing with the pen, an unconscious reflection of his inner turmoil.

There was no time for hesitation, no luxury of deliberation. The lives of hundreds of thousands hung in the balance, teetering between the horrors of enslavement and the merciful release of destruction. The weight of his responsibility settled heavily upon him, and in that moment, Hask'Pagram felt the immense burden of leadership pressing upon his conscience.

The conflicting emotions surged within him—a turbulent sea of grief, anger, and determination. The stark reality of sacrificing his own people, even for their own sake, gnawed at his soul. He knew the decision he had to make, the one that would forever haunt him. It was a defining moment, a choice between two agonizing paths, with no outcome free from anguish.

With a heavy heart, Hask'Pagram steeled himself, his eyes reflecting the torment of his decision. In that silent office, he uttered the order, his voice steady but weighted with sorrow. The destruction of the ships became an act of mercy, a tragic sacrifice to spare his people the horrors of enslavement. In that moment, he became acutely aware of the magnitude of loss that accompanied leadership.

As the order resonated through the interstellar communication channels, Hask'Pagram's gaze lingered on the reports, his mind grappling with the enormity of his actions. The pen in his hand ceased its restless motion, and he took a deep breath, seeking solace in the knowledge that he had made the most agonizing choice for the greater good.

Hask'Pagram knew that this decision would forever be etched into the annals of his political career, a reminder of the sacrifices he had made, the burdens he had borne. It was a testament to the unyielding devotion he held for his people, even when forced to navigate the darkest depths of moral ambiguity.

In the solitude of his office, Hask'Pagram leaned back in his chair, contemplating the harsh realities of leadership. The sacrifice weighed heavily upon him, a somber reminder of the profound depths of compassion and resolve that defined his character.

Reinforced by the return of the 1st Strike Force, the Tebadorans engaged the depleted Hydarian fleet in the Vuza'Baru system once more. The Hydarians stood no chance, their ships undermanned, undersupplied, and outgunned. The Tebadorans emerged victorious without losing a single corvette, further solidifying their dominance in space.

In the war's final stages, the Tebadorans systematically conquered system after system, securing their hold over the remnants of the Hydarian Empire. As the enemy's economy collapsed and their remaining colonies succumbed to other galactic empires, Hask'Pagram orchestrated the integration of the conquered territories into the Tebadoran Union, ensuring they would serve the interests of the Union and its citizens.

Ultimately, on 01.02.2233, the Hydarian Empire acknowledged defeat and capitulated. The once-mighty empire was reduced to a mere shadow of its former glory, with the Tebadorans annexing Hydarian colonies and the capital planet, Ubaria. The Tebadorans reigned supreme, having reshaped the galactic landscape and ushered in a new era of dominance.

They've just had the first debt collectors, so they're safe for a little while yet.

2233-2250
In the aftermath of the war, the Tebadoran Citizen Union celebrated its triumph over the Hydarian colonies. The conquest was extensive, with the main planet of Ubaria falling under Tebadoran rule, along with three Hydarian colonies. However, not all of these colonies proved suitable for colonization, as Hask'Pagram realized. One of them, a wet forest world with only a handful of colonists, was deemed unsuitable for both the Hydarians and the Tebadorans. By Hask'Pagram's order, the colonists were resettled to a more hospitable planet, and all the infrastructure on the planet was recycled.

2233-1.png
Political situation in the year 2233. The former Hydarian capital, Ubaria, and the Tebadoran capital of Rax'Kana are marked red respectively.

To solidify the Tebadoran rule over the conquered territories, Hask'Pagram renamed Ubaria to Ro'Doman, a Tebadoran name that symbolized the Union's authority. The other two colonies, Ira'Monosk and Gal'Mukosa, were also given new names. Ira'Monosk, a desert world, was characterized by rocky terrain, dust, and sand, while Gal'Mukosa possessed its own unique features.

The Tebadoran Citizen Union had grown significantly, and efficient governance required dividing the realm into sectors. The Rax'Kana sector, named after the capital planet Rax'Kana, encompassed the majority of planets, including Pan'Dassak, a planet designated for agricultural purposes, Na'Valus, a colony which focuses on industrial output, and Ro'Doman. Hask'Pagram established the Ira'Monosk sector, consisting of the planet Ira'Monosk and Gal'Mukosa. Both former Hydarian colonies.

To ensure loyalty and efficiency, each sector was governed by a handpicked governor appointed by Hask'Pagram. These governors played a vital role in maintaining control and implementing policies throughout the Union.

One of Hask'Pagram's most controversial decisions was the enslavement of every Hydari, who were forced to work for the Tebadoran Citizen Union without any rights or citizenship. This practice was implemented shortly after the war, marking a harsh and uncompromising stance toward the defeated Hydarian population.
The Hydarians now had to live under basic subsistence, with no access to any luxuries. Only their basic needs were covered: Shelter, food and water, and so on. They were bound by indenture and had to work as indentured servants. Hask'Pagram legitimized this form of slavery by stating that every Hydari must pay reparations for war damages. Since this war was supossedly a preemptive one, "every dead Tebadoran soldier and their families must be accounted for".

In 2233, just after the war had concluded, Hask'Pagram faced sleepless nights as he tirelessly worked to shape the newly formed Union. Aware of the need to expand the council, Hask'Pagram and the national assembly introduced the position of the "Minister of Service." Hask'Jugir, the general who had led the invasion of Ubaria and played a significant role in the conquest of the Hydarian colonies, was appointed as the Minister of Service. He quickly became a national hero, enjoying popularity in Rax'Kana, Pan'Dassak, Na'Valus, and other colonies. Hask'Jugir's counsel and service proved invaluable to Hask'Pagram and the Union.

As time passed, challenges emerged in the newly acquired territories. In early 2234, Governor Torba'Hassadra reported the rise of criminal elements on Ro'Doman. The devastation caused by the war had left the planet in disarray, and lawlessness spread through some areas, giving rise to extensive criminal networks. Reconstruction efforts lagged, and the living standards remained precarious for the population.

In early 2235, the completion of the habitat on Khor I, a rocky and molten world, dedicated to scientific research, marked a significant milestone for the Tebadoran Citizen Union. Named Shi'Tanask, the habitat was supposed to become a beacon of technological advancement and knowledge. Although the arrival of settlers was yet to come, the habitat stood ready to welcome the first Tebadoran scientists and researchers.

Tragedy struck on 1st February 2236 when the great leader Hask'Pagram passed away at the age of 79. Engaged in his daily work within his office, Hask'Pagram suddenly felt a weariness that he could not shake off. Resting his head on his desk for a moment's respite, he slipped into an eternal slumber. His passing marked the end of an era, as he had founded the Tebadoran Citizen Union and served as its leader for an impressive 42 years.

The news of Hask'Pagram's death sent shockwaves throughout the Tebadoran Citizen Union. Mourning gripped the entire realm, and citizens from all corners expressed their grief and gratitude for his visionary leadership. The Union faced an uncertain future without its esteemed founder, and the mantle of leadership fell upon the next generation of Tebadoran statesmen.

The passing of Hask'Pagram, the great leader of the Tebadoran Citizen Union, sparked a profound desire among the people to honor his legacy. The national assembly responded to the clamor by organizing a grand memorial service, a ceremony befitting the remarkable deeds Hask'Pagram had accomplished for the Tebadoran people. Meanwhile, preparations for the upcoming elections were set into motion, marking a pivotal moment for the Union.

A public funeral unfolded as Hask'Pagram's crystal casket, translucent and ethereal, was laid to rest. The citizens of the Tebadoran Citizen Union were invited to pay their respects, with a public procession leading to the Rax'Kana memorial site. Crowds lined the streets, eager to catch a glimpse of the great leader in his final resting place. The funeral was followed by a week-long festival, a joyous celebration where no expense was spared. It was a collective tribute to the indomitable spirit and visionary leadership of Hask'Pagram.

With the Union now in need of a new Commander-Chancellor, the citizens embarked on a journey of democracy. Over the next 180 days, from August of 2236, they exercised their right to vote, selecting among several candidates who aspired to lead the Union into the future.
Evt_senate.png

The list of candidates was diverse, each bringing their unique qualities and backgrounds to the table. Torba'Vasku, a female admiral of the TCU Hask'Pagram, offered her leadership and experience. Hask'Guron, a renowned scientist, archeologist, and politician, emerged as a strong contender, enjoying the support of the Industry and Prosperity Party. Hask'Jugir, the heroic general who led the successful invasion of Ubaria and currently served as the Minister of Service, presented himself as a candidate worthy of consideration. Others, such as Hask'Kalass, Hask'Porok, Torba'Daggash, Hask'Tibak, and Torba'Hassadra, also threw their hats into the ring, though some with lesser chances of victory.

As the election process unfolded, the national assembly, aware of the Union's expanding needs, issued orders for scientific and construction staff to continue expanding. The Tebadorans claimed one system after another, acquiring valuable resources to fuel their economy and secure their future.

In the end, it was Hask'Guron, the 64-year-old scientist hailing from a humble farmer family, who emerged triumphant. His journey from poverty to the pinnacle of power exemplified the Tebadoran spirit of upward mobility and perseverance. Hask'Guron, driven by his unwavering belief in industrialism and rapid economic growth, intended to ensure the prosperity and strength of the state. With the position of Minister of Research now vacant, Hask'Guron appointed Torba'Daggash, one of his competitors, to fill the role, recognizing the importance of scientific progress for the Union's future.

However, the Union faced a new and unexpected threat in November of 2236. A strange crystalline entity approached the Ro system, home to Ro'Doman, formerly known as Ubaria. Governor Torba'Hassadra swiftly established contact with the entity through a probe, only to witness an intense energy spike that instantly destroyed the probe. The Minister of Service and the Minister of Defense advised the new Commander-Chancellor on the matter, urging high alert and the mobilization of the 1st Strike Force and garrisons on Ro'Doman. The assumption was clear: the entity had hostile intentions.

Evt_space_crystals.png

Despite their preparations, the colonial defense force on Ro'Doman proved no match for the entity. From orbit, the entity unleashed a devastating barrage of high-velocity crystal shards upon the planet, resulting in the loss of hundreds of thousands of lives. The painstaking efforts of the workers and the progress they had made in rebuilding Ro'Doman were shattered once again. Within a span of three years, Ro'Doman had experienced both conquest and a deadly attack from an enigmatic entity.

The 1st Strike Force, accompanied by the TCU Hask'Pagram, rushed from the Rax system to Ro'Doman in an attempt to intercept the crystalline entity. However, their efforts proved futile, as the entity had vanished into the depths of space before their arrival.

The woes of Ro'Doman persisted into late 2237 when Governor Torba'Hassadra reported a new concern—a crystalline infestation. Fragments of crystal had begun to grow in various locations across Ro'Doman, gradually draining the already meager mineral resources from its soil. The impact on the ecosystem remained uncertain. Faced with this predicament, three options lay before them: regular harvesting of the crystals, conducting thorough research on them, or eradicating them altogether.

In a decisive move, Hask'Guron ordered the crystals to be harvested, recognizing their value to the economy. The crystals were swiftly declared state property through a joint decree from the national assembly and the Commander-Chancellor. The Union, ever resourceful and adaptable, sought to transform this unexpected challenge into an opportunity for growth and advancement.

The years 2238 to 2244 proved to be the most arduous and challenging for the Tebadoran Citizen Union. Despite their initial victory in the war with the Hydarians, the Union faced a severe food shortage that nearly depleted their reserves. They were on the verge of running out of food entirely, prompting the state to purchase crops and interstellar food from other empires. However, this decision burdened the Union's coffers, leading to mounting debts and a subsequent inflation that caused the value of the Citizen-Credit to plummet.

In the midst of these struggles, a disturbing request came from the remnants of the Hydarian Empire. Their pilgrims, disguised as innocent seekers of a holy journey, sought to visit Ro'Doman. However, Governor Torba'Hassadra recognized their true intentions—these pilgrims were, in fact, terrorists plotting a final strike against the Tebadoran occupants. Intrigued by the situation, Hask'Guron, with his xenophobic inclinations, unequivocally denied them access, ensuring the safety of his people.

As the stress continued to mount, Hask'Guron himself succumbed to a neurosis in 2240. This neurosis led him to adopt excessive precautions, prioritizing safety with zero regards to efficiency.

During the same year, the fate of the Hydarian empire was sealed when their last remaining colonies fell under the control of the Gorothian United Commonalities—a warlike empire that saw themselves as defenders of nature. The Hydarian delegation, faced with their empire's collapse, approached Hask'Guron with a request to establish a government-in-exile in the Ro system. However, Hask'Guron, feeling insulted by the audacity of the request, declined it outright, focusing on his own empire's struggles.

Food shortages remained a significant issue for the Tebadoran Citizen Union, intensifying their challenges. In the midst of these difficulties, a sudden and peculiar visitor appeared before the Tebadoran military high command in 2240. This synthetic being, whose mind had been uploaded into a humanoid synthetic body, revealed himself as a seasoned commander from a distant empire. Driven by his experience and lack of political affiliation, he sought to command a fleet. Despite initial concerns, Hask'Guron enlisted the synthetic commander to lead the TCU Hask'Pagram, entrusting him with the responsibility.

In 2241, contact was established with the Galactic Korinth Union, an oligarchy known for their materialistic, xenophobic, and fanatic materialist nature. Though humanoid in appearance, their pale complexion and singular eye set them apart. However, due to the considerable distance between their territories, diplomatic relations remained limited.

Religious tensions reached a boiling point on Ro'Doman in late 2241. Hask'Pagram's prohibition of all religions upon conquering Ro'Doman and the other three colonies had left the Hydarians, who held strong religious beliefs, feeling disenfranchised. This resulted in religious riots among the enslaved Hydarian population, which had not been fully assimilated into the Tebadoran society.

To the south of the Tebadoran Citizen Union lay the oppressive Galactic Ethiran Empire. This absolute monarchy, known for its enslavement practices, relied on military conquest to fill its mines and farms with slaves. Among the subjugated races were the Ospranians, an avian species that rebelled against their masters. They sought aid from the Tebadoran Citizen Union in their battle against the Ethirans, a race of arthropods. However, after careful consultation with advisors, the council, and the national assembly, Hask'Guron declined to provide military assistance. The Tebadorans were already burdened with their struggling economy and the unknown strength and technological advancements of the Ethirans posed a significant risk. The Tebadoran Security Agency (TSA) closely monitored the situation, preparing for any potential escalation.

By 2242, it became evident that the crystals infesting Ro'Doman were indeed causing harm to the ecosystem. The already lacking biosphere was deteriorating, leaving Ro'Doman an even more desolate place.

In 2243, Tebadoran operatives achieved a significant feat by rescuing several survivors from a crashed shuttle on Nolyon I—a primitive world housing a hive mind. The shuttle was originally intended for a routine scouting mission, but a navigation error led to the crash. Hask'Guron recognized the bravery of the operatives and awarded them the Medal of Bravery for their heroic actions.

During the same year, the Tebadorans established contact with the United Nations, a democratic empire. Demonstrating their shrewdness, the Tebadorans apprehended a human vessel for further examination and interrogation. However, this action would strain relations with the humans in the near future.
Shortly afterwards, Hask'Guron ordered the establishment of a spy network in the United Nations Interstellar Protectorate.
The United Nations were located just north of the Tebadoran Citizen Union.

In late 2243, Hask'Guron authorized the invasion of Nolyon I, a cold alpine world, by the 1st Tebadoran Citizen Army. In what seemed like a training exercise for the Tebadorans, they swiftly overwhelmed the primitive world's feeble armed forces and subsequently exterminated the mindless Numerians—a hive mind collective. According to the Tebadoran Security Agency, this civilization was about to become a spacefaring, which undoubtly posed a threat. Due to the planet's inhospitable climate, the Tebadorans left it untouched, unsuitable for colonization.
Evt_ground_combat.png

In 2244, Commander-Chancellor Hask'Guron addressed the nation in a public speech, declaring the food crisis finally overcome. However, he emphasized that the time for rest had not yet arrived. With adversaries looming on all fronts, the stabilized economy must be fortified and utilized to build a formidable defense force capable of safeguarding all Tebadoran citizens. A few months later, formal contact was established with the United Nations Interstellar Protectorate, although relations remained strained due to the cautious stance adopted by Secretary-General Yesenia Akkad.
Evt_grand_speech.png

In 2245, Hask'Guron adopted a new foreign policy approach, combining belligerence with expansionism. While the Tebadoran Citizen Union had maintained an expansionist outlook throughout its history, this belligerent stance was crucial for their diplomatic engagements with neighboring empires, including the United Nations.

Religious riots resurfaced on Ro'Doman in 2245, prompting the usual response of repression from Hask'Pagram's forces. Simultaneously, Hask'Guron focused on charting new star systems and implementing measures to improve the economy, leading to a period of increased population growth.

Early 2246 saw the reappearance of vile debt collectors, utilizing their advanced cloaking technology to infiltrate the Rax system. However, the Tebadorans were prepared this time and engaged in a swift battle, demolishing all of the debt collectors' corvettes. Though the debt collectors promised to return, the Tebadorans felt a renewed sense of security.

In 2247, Torba'Daggasch, the female minister of research, passed away at the age of 85 from natural causes. Her death was mourned throughout the Citizen Union, as she had been a respected politician and scientist. Hask’Porok, being 56 years old, was appointet new minister of research. Being a reknownend and experienced scientist, he was a viable choice.

In 2247, Commander-Chancellor Hask'Guron took a bold step towards improving the lives of all citizens of the Tebadoran Citizen Union. Recognizing the hardships faced by the poorer social strata within the Union, he implemented a comprehensive social welfare program that aimed to uplift their living standards and provide them with a brighter future.

With a deep sense of empathy and a commitment to social justice, Hask'Guron envisioned a society where no one would be left behind, regardless of their background or economic status. The new social welfare program encompassed a range of generous policies designed to address various aspects of citizens' lives, fostering a sense of inclusivity and equal opportunities.

One of the key pillars of the program was the provision of affordable housing. Hask'Guron recognized the significance of stable and comfortable living conditions for individuals and families to thrive. The government embarked on an ambitious project to construct affordable housing complexes in urban centers and colonies, ensuring that citizens had access to safe, clean, and well-maintained residences. These housing initiatives were complemented by rigorous urban planning to create vibrant communities with adequate infrastructure and amenities.

Recognizing that education is a powerful tool for social mobility, the government invested heavily in educational institutions and initiatives. Scholarships and grants were made available to students from disadvantaged backgrounds, ensuring that financial constraints would not hinder their pursuit of knowledge and skills. Furthermore, vocational training programs were introduced to equip individuals with practical skills for the job market, empowering them to secure better employment opportunities and improve their economic well-being.

Healthcare was another vital aspect addressed by the social welfare program. Hask'Pagram recognized the importance of providing affordable and accessible healthcare to all citizens. He allocated substantial resources to expand healthcare infrastructure, ensuring that hospitals, clinics, and medical facilities were well-equipped and staffed. The program also introduced subsidized healthcare services, reducing the burden of medical expenses on individuals and families, particularly those with limited financial means.

Even though public education and public healthcare were already implemented by Hask’Pagram in the early stages of the Tebadoran Citizen Union, its effectiveness remained low due to bad infrastructure and a struggling economy.

To combat poverty and provide economic stability, the program included various initiatives to support entrepreneurship and job creation. Small business loans were made available to aspiring entrepreneurs, encouraging innovation and economic growth within the Union. Additionally, the government worked closely with the private sector to attract investments and foster the development of industries, thereby generating employment opportunities for citizens across different sectors.

The implementation of the social welfare program brought about a tangible improvement in the lives of the poorer social strata within the Tebadoran Citizen Union. Poverty rates decreased, and the gap between different social classes began to narrow. The program's success was attributed to Hask'Guron's unwavering commitment to creating a fair and just society, where everyone had an equal chance to thrive and contribute to the Union's progress.

As news of the positive impact spread throughout the Union, a sense of optimism and unity permeated the society. Citizens felt a renewed sense of loyalty and gratitude towards their Commander-Chancellor, recognizing his dedication to their well-being. The social welfare program became a testament to Hask'Guron's visionary leadership and his ability to implement meaningful change for the betterment of all.

The legacy of Hask'Guron's social welfare program endured for generations to come, serving as a foundation for the Union's continued prosperity and social cohesion. It set a precedent for future leaders to prioritize the welfare of their citizens, ensuring that the Tebadoran Citizen Union would always be a beacon of progress and equality in the galaxy.

From 2247 to 2250, the Tebadoran Citizen Union continued to face familiar challenges and maintain their course. They grappled with diplomatic complexities, internal tensions, and ongoing efforts to improve their economy and expand their influence in the galaxy. The struggles of the past years had forged a resilient nation, ready to face whatever lay ahead in the vast expanse of space.

Note
I hope you guys enjoy! This is the first time I'm writing an AAR. Feedback would be welcomed. I try to use as many pictures and screenshots as possible, but it's difficult to find fitting photos at times.
Also, I didn't know if I should just edit the original post everytime I update the story, or if I should add it here in the replies. Seeing that most of you have done the latter, I went with it. I will include some more screenshots of the various empires the Tebadorans encountered.

As you've found, the traditional approach is to make a new post - the main reason for the new post approach is that people following the thread get a notification if you make a new post, but they don't get a notification if you edit an existing post.

As far as feedback goes, you're doing a good job with it so far; I certainly wouldn't have thought it was a first AAR.

Which mod are you running for the molten habitat?
I did, but didn't destroy the MSI in that playthrough.
Presumably it's the goal this time around though?

Thanks, I appreaciate your response.

I am using the 'Planetary Diversity' mod, more specifically the 'Planetary Habitats' submod.

Yes, the goal for this campaign is to obliterate the MSI. However, the Tebadorans also seek to establish themselves as the sole galactic hegemon, which aligns with their ideology of national security and defense.

You're welcome.

I'll have to have a look; been running Planetary Diversity for years, but haven't reviewed it since.

Understandable goal. MSI will regret that they mistreated the Tebadorans.

Every Hydari? I expect a rebellion very soon,

Why exactly did the Hydari ask their conquerors for land to form a government in exile? What were they thinking?

I'm amused that the Tebadorans are killing other empires oppressive...

Yeah, make a new post. The AAR's fine and interesting as is, too. Good job.
