The Terran Union - Let's Play

Interesting. Topaz crystal monsters? Very interesting but we are getting more and more minerals which will be wonderful for building and improving our fleets. Soon we will have a force suitable for the small green neighbours beside us. They will become a vassal.

 
Our naval force is getting rather nice. They are still a bit busy in the galactic fringes getting vital combat experience against the horrors that lurk around foreign distant starts. That will serve them well in wars to come against some more local neighbours.

 
Our navy is busy out on the galactic fringes fighting space monsters. Those are really just training exercises as we are nearing the time we will be launching an invasion against those neighbours of ours. It will not be long now before we get ourselves a vassal to be part of the Terran Union.

 
The Dima-Xanian Republic has become a loyal part of the Terran Union. The war was brief as terrans would bring decisive power out and overwhelm them. With the south protected by an ally and our nearest neighbour pacified this leaves only the threat of the Fallen Empire and the dick mushrooms to the north.

 
Our northern friends are now in a position where we will want to act and soon. This is pleasing within the Terran Union however of course matters of politics behind the scenes will keep us from acting right away. We were at war not long ago let us indulge our love of aliens instead of shooting them with torpedoes. Well that too to certain aliens I suppose.

 
We begin final preparations for our north invasion. Just need to upgrade our ships of war. In the meanwhile of course our science ships will be busy busy busy doing well...science. SCIENCE people!

 
No more will we let the mushrooms to the north make the Terran people live in fear that one day there will be war. Instead our people will be happy to know we are at war but it is a war we started and we will pacify the threat they pose.

 
The Terran Union fleets and armies push galactic north. The whole of the terran people and our allies are brought into this. Our vassal fights in this. Terran soldiers side by side with our xenos companions, spilling red and blue and green blood on distant alien worlds. I imagine there will be plenty of future space movies made about this.

 
With our victory complete there are many spoils we can take advantage of. For one we can gather certain wild animals from those alien worlds we couldn't before. For another our growing technological base will provide new outlets to amuse the populace of the Terran Union.

 
I really hate our dear xenophobic neighbours. Which is of course basically everyone in the galaxy. What a galaxy the Terrans find themselves in. Also our so called friends are a bunch of slavers. Not sure I like that much either honestly. Maybe we can be their friend in a different way?

 
Having bridged the galactic arm now we have so much more to explore. Of course the fleets of the Terran Union will be out there to ensure the safety of our science ships. Sadly space crystals just can not be reasoned with.

 
Our new warp drives allow us easy access now across the spiral arms. Our diplomats and bureaucrats have worked very hard and brought one of our vassals into the fold. I am sure with time they will adopt ways more in line with mainstream Terran thought instead of thinking we are all jerks.

 
Yes we must arm ourselves. Friends in space is all well and good but we need only look to the northwest, such as it is, to see what just desiring friends will lead you to. Fellow friendly xenophiles turned into a vassal while horrible slavers go free? Seems unfair.

 
Some aliens just don't appreciate the appeal of fusion bomb detonations.

 
It really is just a terrible and hateful universe. Oh well. The Terran Union was forged in difficult times they can handle a galaxy that hates them. We really should start correcting things close to home though.

 
Still getting that new weapons technology I want for my war against our slaving neighbours nearby. While that is being done a new colony on closer to the only other xenophiles in the galaxy seem a good idea.

 
A few more colonies. A little bit more getting my energy needs in order and the war will be able to start. It is always a bit dangerous starting a war. Not only is there the physical danger but pulling your fleets from docking can cause terrible energy drains.

 
The war to bring some more freedom to our part of the galaxy has begun. For too long has the Terran Union turned a blind eye to what our neighbours did for our own sake. Now we take a stand.

 
It would seem that we have made enemies in the galaxy. I can't say I am surprised the Terran Union stands for things most of the galaxy doesn't like. Like being friendly with aliens. They really aren't fans of that. In fact these guys I think might be even worse than the slavers.

 
The war was going poorly but...we manage to turn things around. I want bigger ships I have to admit. A little jealous about them.
