Meeting on Ennust

The meeting had taken place at the largest of the new palaces built across the Reich. Beneath Ennust Primes scientific heartland a secret bunker held the majority of the Reich High Command, key scientists and the Kaiserin herself was also present. The meeting had been going on for nearly two hours with arguments over the new empire the Foundation of Fevnor. Lord Richard Windsor, Head of the Abwehr Imperial Intelligence Service (AIIS) and member of the Imperial family spoke.

" Several of my agents have already begun to move into Fevnor space, gathering intelligence. We have acquired information on the Fevnor DNA. It is almost identical to our own.In fact without full scientific testing and a laboratory it's nearly impossible to tell us and them apart. We have begun moving in deep cover agents. And we have made contact with The Ibb Covenant, an Empire boarding The Foundation. They are at war with each other and in my opinion we cannot allow the Foundation to win this war. With your permission Kaiserin I intend to travel into Ibb space and take to them military and technological resources to aid them in their war against The Foundation."

After several more hours debating and discussing it was agreed that The Reich would secretly back the Ibb Covenant in exchange for active satellite Information in Ibb space and star charts showing a great empire of a strange species that were hugely technologically advanced making the other races appear as children. Lord Windsor's mission was successful and in a container that came back to Earth aboard his shuttle were several bodies. These bodies would be tested in various environments to learn the biological weaknesses of the Foundation. These tests were not ordered or known about outside of the AIIS upper echelons.

Despite the covert missions success in aiding the Ibb with military blue prints of spacecraft and weapons, they lost the war within weeks of the secret deal. The Reich felt both betrayed by the Ibb for their lack of effort in the war and fear at the now large and expanding Foundation of Fevnor. Anti Human sentiment grew, more and more of Humanity now started to not only fear none humans but hate them, this shift towards Xenophobia did little to help the Reichs reputation with its neighbours.

So, humans but yet not humans. Wonder if there has been intelligent design going on at some point.:p

Exactly! Really threw me off! Never seen two humanoid factions before!

Major war coming in the next update! The Reich decides to test some if its latest weapons and technology. I shall say no more.

Peace and War

The Reich Fleets moved into position in neutral space between the Reich and Tendrakkian League frontier. Two fleets were being used for this assualt the 1
st Fleet in the North commanded by Henri Von Haupner and the 2nd Fleet under the command Eric Von Richthofen. Both commanded large and powerful fleets. Each one matched the entire Leagues navy on its own.

Both fleets advanced into the Leagues space destroying anything belonging to the League. Civilians and Military personel were targetted alike. This unrestricted warfare was seen as not only necessary but vital to cripple the league. The Reichs aims were to force the League to abandon several systems deemed too close to Reich space.

4 populated systems were the targets. They would suffer the worst of the fighting and brutallity at the hands of Reich Space and Ground forces. The rapid advance of the Reichs ships had thrown the League however they reacted in a surprising way. One which allowed them to reach the Core worlds of the Reich. They moved their entire fleet as fast as possible towards Earth, hoping to land ground troops and bombard the planet from orbit. They would have been successful if Admiral Von Haupner did not catch up to them in the Hanneri System, he only managed this due to one of the new gravity wells installed in Reich orbital defences. The battle was bloody on both sides. With Reich forces suffering 45% casualties. However the Leagues fleet was shattered and would not recover.

With this victory Admiral Von Richthofen pushed forwards to the steps of the Leagues Homeworld. Landing and taking command of the Reich troops on the ground as he had done in three other systems. While the Invasion was a success Von Richthofen died in service to the Reich fighting on the planets surface. With this final victory the League surrendered.

However peace would not last. The Wulhubb Republican Planets to the Galactic North had been entiring Reich space and violating Inter Galactic treaties. With this the Reich declared war.

Only a single fleet was needed to win the war which lasted only four months. By the end the Wulhubb were made offical vassals of the Reich. This was more to stop and keep them in check than to actually intergrate them into the Reich.

The Reich saw twenty years of peace after this war. Anti alien sentiment had grown to a new high in the Outer Colonies. Despite there being a handful of aliens in the Reich itself. The real tipping point in this anti sentiment was reached when, upon the death of Kaiser Richardo. The new Kaiserin Amani, the second woman ever to rule the Reich, ordered the creation of a Imperial Bodyguard. This new Bodyguard was formed of the Dyss, a race who had been conquered nearly fifty years previously and who’s existence was kept secret within the military and Berlin Command. This new bodyguard numbered nearly five million. While the current Imperial Army only numbering twenty million. This step was deeply unpopular within the Reich Command. While the Dyss were feircly loyal to the Kaiser. This new command would answer only to the Kaiserin and the future Kaisers, if it lasted that long, this was seen as the Kaiserin attempting to pull power away from the traditional military command and replace them with aliens loyal only to her and not understanding of the Reichs rich and proud history. The Dyss were reptilian looking creatures similar to crocodiles. They were also hugely strong and were able to survive wounds that would kill a human twice over. This strength and ability to survive wounds meant that while the Dyss only numbered five million in the Imperial bodyguard they in reality were worth two humans in a straight up fight. Something that had not gone unnoticed by some in the Berlin Command and worried them greatly so much so that whispers began at the start of 2310. Whispers that would grow into a roar.
