Dear Cities fans,

We see and understand the disappointment many of you have expressed after the release of Cities: Skylines II and the recent release of Beach Properties. We asked for your patience and support, and you’ve shown those. In return, we let you down. We thought we could make up for the shortcomings of the game in a timeframe that was unrealistic, and rushed out a DLC that should not have been published in its current form. For all this, we are truly sorry. When we’ve made statements like this one before, it’s included a pledge to keep making improvements, and while we are working on these updates, they haven’t happened at a speed or magnitude that is acceptable, and it pains us that we've now lost the trust of many of you. We want to do better.

It's been 10 months, you didn't keep your promise. You couldn't fill the time you gave with a few patches and a few dlcs that some of us won't see as compensation. Asset editor is still missing, Map editor is not even in beta.

You don't need to tell a thousand people a thousand times, you released the game before it was even close to being finished, hoping to gain a few months with empty apologies, and after 10 months you still haven't given anything, and you've made the communication problems even worse.

Did it live up to the slogan "If You Can Dream It, You Can Build It"?
For example, I want to add content with ready-made drawings like in CS1 to the game, I dream of being able to build famous cities with their famous structures. Isn't it an exaggeration to release a game with this slogan, which I haven't been able to realize these dreams of mine from the very beginning?

How much investment was made in return for the millions of dollars collected? Will it take 8 years like CS1 for us to consider the game complete? You haven't answered the questions for a while, and we've lost faith that you will answer them in the future.

We are trying to explain our disappointment not only in your forums but also in many social media channels. We are customers as well as players. If the product you bought today is defective, the manufacturer can collect the product and compensate, you could not compensate with a few dlcs, you could not fix it, what will be the next steps? What will be the dates, who will inform us, how?

As I have stated in other topics before, this is how the "insincere apology" showed itself, look at the reply history of the topic, when was the last time the employee who opened the topic answered the questions, how did they leave the concrete and important questions asked afterwards unanswered.

I have been completely right about what I said every time, but I do not like this situation at all. We share the problems of the game with other players, not with the producer, and we search for and produce solutions with mods and suggestions.

Shame on you!

It seems that PDX will be the first producer to be forced to refund money through court after 2 years of the game's release.

People make mistakes, but to solve their mistakes, they have to apologize falsely, close communication channels while declaring that they will solve the communication problems, remain silent, not even meet the needs of the player, not even meet the needs of the game, not make up for the mistakes made but act as if they did. Get your money back through court.
