I am new as you all can tell, i was wondering since you all have a pretty good knowledge of history who could help me to settle down my definition of the game, i want to do something of the third crusade ... like comparing it with the actual war, i mean i dont only want to play but also expand my knowledge.. Thank you !!!

eh? Well, this starts before the first Crusade..otherwise i'm confused..

It is a Dark Ages game you know. So I guess that's inevitable.;)

Dark Ages is what we in Norway call "Middelalderen", right? Then it is a Dark Ages game.:p "Middelalderen" was from around the fall of the Western Roman Empire untill the renaissance. It was of course divided into three(?) parts, is Dark Ages one of those?:)

The English equivalent of Middelalderen (Medeltiden in Swedish) is the Middle Ages, not the Dark Ages. :p The Middle Ages is then often divided into Dark/High/Late or something like that...

A-ha! :eek:o My bad then. :p

The Dark Ages are not defined by exact dates, but usually the term refers the period of migrations from the Fall of Rome (e.g. the Vandal sack of Rome (455 AD)) until the stabilization of the West with the establishment of the Carolingian Empire (800 AD) - some will stretch it to about 1000 AD...

CK is not a Dark Ages game.

No, I know the time scale.;) But I confused Middle Ages with Dark Ages.

BTW, which year was the third crusade?:)

1189 IIRC, 1187 was battle at Hattin.

In my translation that will mean,
from a montain, with a diabolic smile, all altered, he says : Search, Idiot, Father Rafael...I am a messenger from hell, I am the exterminating demon... Run , miserables. Hell, open your mouth and eat me. Drown heaven, all humans die. Extermination, destruction !! come up, to the highest of the hill, and precipitates...

I dont know that would be my translation to what you said BUT what does that has to do with the third crusade ???

However, the differing color in the word 'here' means that it is a 'clickable link' to here: -> http://crusades.boisestate.edu/3rd/
:)

Sorry, I should have made a clearer link.

Good translation, though. ;)

Speaking of which, where is that text from? I almost thought I recoginzed some of it...

Sorry for the OT...

It's the final scene from Don Álvaro o La Fuerza del Sino, a Romantic theatre play from the first half of the 19th century, by the Duke of Rivas.
