will the team continue to improve performance on imperator or shouldn't I expect any change in the near future? This game makes my gpu reach 90º after an hour of playing even with v-sync on and it kind of worries me when it reaches that point and the problem isn't really on the gpu side since this is the only game where this happens. For example I can run Rome 2 at extreme ( don't really fancy newer TW titles ) and the gpu never goes past 85ºc even if i play it for an entire day. From my understanding I think this game has a really bad optimisation when it comes to shaders ( maybe they are being rendered with to much resolution? )

What refreshRate is the game set to? Try changing it to 60.

Then you pretty much have to have a cooling problem.

Clean out all air vents it has (compressed air cans are good for this). Make sure airflow to them is not blocked by anything like walls, books or whatever.

If that doesn't drop the temps enough, you probably have a faulty fan or a heatsink/thermal paste problem. You may need professional help at that point.

A cooling problem that solely affects Imperator? That's a new one, maybe I don't know, the game is unnecessarily stressing the GPU?

That is possible, but nevertheless ... !

I've ran firemark , to try and stress the gpu as much as it is supposed to be and still doesn't go past 80ºc. I think there is something in imperator that is not working as it is supposed to be. I have a feeling it's something related with memclock. I've tried a mod that reduces reflections by moving the sun lower and the stress lowered somewhat, the gpu never passed 83º. I would have a look into the reflections, are they being refreshed to much or maybe lack of pre caching of some resources related to it?

Those are all possibilities, I agree. I don't know there's anything you or I can do about them though! It would need a code change to alter the game's behaviour in those aspects.

What you can do is use SpeedFan or some other utility to make the fans run faster, for extra cooling.

isn't the game divided in packages with imperator? I agree it could be tedious to do so, but nevertheless the tools and structure to change are now much better than they were in the past. I understand the necessity of resource allocation towards profit, but I have seen multiple people reporting this same issue and that is somewhat scary, because not everyone has the sensibility to check temps when they hear fans ramping up for long periods of time. If I make the assumption that maybe 10, 15% do pdx could have a lot of dead gpu's for something so trivial as a misallocation of rendering code.
