I finally created and posted a map for CS2. It's taken me a while to get more comfortable with the editor and figure out how to get some results that satisfied me. I'm planning to start my next city build on this map and see how it plays. I'd love to see screenshots from your cities if you build on this map. Enjoy and have fun!

A side note: I wanted to place some greenery in the canyons to the east, but the mountains are just outside the playable area so I couldn't. I chose this so you wouldn't have to do a lot of grading to build on it. There are a few canyons to play with in the playable area, but not the big ones in the mountain range.

As I type this, there are 2591 maps available on Paradox Mods. Imagine everyone opening a thread about theirs.
Why not? It's an invitation to have a conversation and there's no limit on the number of threads on PDX Forums.

If someone finds an error, they can let me know and I can fix it. Alternatively, if someone particularly enjoyed the map I would be delighted to have them pop in here and tell me what made them happy.

If I don't open a thread, there is no comment section shown on the PDX Mods page that discourages people from interacting and sometimes I would like just to tell an author/ creator "Thank you, I enjoyed your work."

I never uploaded a mod on PDXMod so I'm wondering: how do you link your mod page to a thread? As I see it, there should be some button directing you to the "user mods" forum and allowing only this forum: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/forums/cities-skylines-2-user-mods.1170/ How come most of the mod threads are in the right place and some like yours are on the general forum where they don't belong?

In fact, if an author edits his mod's description, he can set up a link to any thread on PDX forums. This thread should be in the user mods section. Some map creators are not aware of that. Without a linked thread there is no comments section on your mod page.

I know you have to create a linked thread so people can comment on your mod. But PDXMods shouldn't allow to create a thread on any section but the "user mods" one. The most popular mods, including the assets (if/when the asset editor will be released) are constantly commented for years, especially the code mods after each patch (the dreaded "FIX IT!", "UPDATE PLZ!" etc. from the rude, entitled gamers, which, hopefully won't be tolerated anymore). If, say, 5% of the mods are commented on the general section, it'll be overwhelmed by mod threads in months.

You are correct, I wasn't paying attention when I made the thread on the main page. I should have clicked a different section before doing it, but I will do next time.

To be honest, I was just pretty chuffed that I finally finished a decent map in the editor and I just wanted to get it posted. :) I never built much following on the Steam sharing page but I really enjoyed creating maps in CS1 as a different way to enjoy the game.

And it looks like a moderator in the forum has moved this thread to the correct place.
