This is really creative - I love the back story! :) How did you enable comments for your map? I can't find it anywhere. Here's a thumbs up as a thanks for helping! Edit, I think I just figured it out by clicking on one of your links.:)

Wow MrMiyagi himself, this is quite the honor. I love the maps you created the for CS1. Thank you for the feedback! I had a lot of fun creating the backstory myself. Be sure to check out the original map, that mine is based off.
It seems you've already figured it, but to answer your question, I created a post on the paradox forums, and then linked the post in my mod/map upload settings.

The latitude says "Equator", will that effect the weather patterns? It would be great if you included a screenshot of the map's details in the description or screenshot carousel. Thanks!

To be honest, I haven't quite gotten the hang of the climate controls in the map editor yet, so I'm not sure how much "Equator" affects the climate. In my playthrough of the map, a little over 2 in-game years have passed, and I've had all 4 seasons. The first year, it snowed a little in October already, so my experience is that the map should be somewhat north. Maybe I need to tweak some settings so the information can accurately convey that information. I'll take a look at it once I get a chance.

Once I know more, I'll add it to the description. Unfortunately you can only upload 10 images on a mod, and I wanted to have some pictures to show the map, but also some general information, which is why I only included the 3 natural resources, and not ground water, outside connection or climate as one the images. Would be awesome if we could upload more images, because then I would definately include all relevant information in neat images to give each potential player a good overview. I appreciate the feedback :D

This is a great map without any boaring landscapes. But I noticed in the initial stage the Dam is expensive and its not functional, am I missing anything here.
Thank you, I hope you'll bring prosperity to the state of New Hanover, but watch out for those Zanborgians.
And no you aren't missing anything about the dam. Unfortunately as of right now, it's very much non-functional and purely cosmetic. I've been trying to make it functional, but it's been difficult because assets are kinda funky in the editor. You'll probably need to buy the tile (expensive I know) and turn it off. If I can't fix, I might need to just turn it into a bridge idk, but it'd ruin the map's aesthetic://.
With the map's lore, it makes sense that the dam kinda sucks, but gameplay wise, it should be fixed. In my build, it added a challenge in terms of profitability, but eventually I started to earn around 30k/hr anyway. I hope it isn't too much of an issue for you.

OMG I Thought the landscape looked familiar! It looks awesome! Great job making it yours :) Also your pictures a so good!
Thank you! That honestly means a lot coming from you, OG creator :D. I wanted to ask you for permission first, but I found no way to contact you on the forums, and your discord link has expired. But all the credit for the bones of this map definitely goes to you, you did an awesome job! And thank you again, I think it came out unique as well. From above it looks sort of the same (except the highways), but when you look at the contours, you'll definitely see the differences. And I love the pictures as well, and yours are amazing too!

Hey, there appears to be an issue. Starting zones are all in the border of the map, and not by the "starting" tile. This makes it really difficult to do even basic planning and makes it very difficult to expand if you manage the start.

This was an intentional choice. The starting tiles aren't locked to the centre of the map, and can be customised in the map editor, which I did. I felt that having the starting tiles be in centre of the map, as is the standard on vanilla maps, didn't provide enough connectivity, and opted instead to have the starting tiles be located at the edge near both rail, an interstate and the sea. This provides you with mutiple options for connectivity in terms of transit and electricity/sewer, and it's got both underground oil, high fertility and there are massive amounts of ore found in nearby tiles. But if you wish to expand to other parts of the map, you can always buy new tiles that aren't connected to the starting tiles, though you'll need to provide new services to these tiles.

As someone who loves working on transit and exporting early game, I very much appreciate the design choice.

Yes, I've had the same experience. Perhaps the climate is set to be a little more north than intense. Still don't quite understand the climate controls in the editor to be honest, but I am trying out a few things (although I think it might be bugged as well)
