How does it work with Genesis ark?
Genesis ark has a "We cannot abandon our pre-sapient wards." block that prevents them from abandoning the planet. Presumably it's to prevent cheese where you spawn multiple preserves and get the bonus for colonizing multiple times.

Since you cannot relocate nascent, aka presapient pops, what happens if you want to abandon a planet?
Can you abandon it, but leave your young behind? Or is it essentially impossible to abandon it, since you'll always have young ones?

(These humans in 2300, starting having sex at 5 years...)
Everyone else (including Nascent Stage species) can just abandon the planet and leave the presapients behind.

However, NS presapients get deleted (presumably they can't survive on an alien world without the care of their sapient kin) while the planet's native presapients stay behind, living like they always have. So a NS empire loses 5 years of growth whenever it abandons a planet (unless you all-but-abandon the planet, then wait for 5 years while the number of presapients drops to practically zero).
