My understanding is that all the DLC so far that has been release is content already in the game since day 1 that has been withheld for DLC purposes. I really like this game but I'm not sure I'm ok with that.

This is not true, the developer had said so themselves in another thread. I have no problem with this method of game production i.e selling a base game and making money in DLC with addons etc. If done the paradox way. I am big fan of CK2 and the system is the same.

Although no great programmer myself, when writing software, even if parts of the game have had some initial code done on them and they were complied in a final release and just commented out. I don't see what the problem with this is. If an idea is not finished (referencing the land alter spells appearing before this patch) but was complied in, so what? To me if I was writing software, if would seem more of hassle to start remove parts of the code.

I don't believe this for a second. What is true is that the DLC is downloaded on to everyone's game in the various 300-500meg patches. This is so that there is only one build of the game and so that multiplayer works between people who have different DLCs. Then when you buy the DLC it simply unlocks the content to you. This is a perfectly reasonable way of doing business and seems very sensible considering the different combinations of DLCs people do and do not own. The only real downside is that some people crack the content do get access without paying for it. As someone said in another thread they felt almost bad for paying so little for some of the DLCs and I agree with him. They update with a lot of free stuff and the DLCs add to the game so I worry that because they are so cheap the company won't make enough to continue improving the game even further. Getting back to the point, as the developers have said they did not do it and I doubt they could if they wanted to. A small developer cannot sit on a completed game while spending months of work developing DLC for it. They simply can't afford to.

Anyways, rant over :)

Awesome patch.
Finally got the hero Balrog and new? hero on donkey, new spells are awesome, AI is a bit tougher but sadly doesnt know how to use dispell.
Two of my heroes with levitation and vampiric weapon are enough to destroy a capital.

Monsters are stronger i think they get some "free" levels which is cool.
Other worlds are immproved, love the new "boss" monsters like dark mages and diamond elementals.
It seemes that warewolfs got nerfed a bit, they kept dying on me (lol).

As for bugs, no crashes here but noble warewold targeting is strange, it doesnt hit all the mobs in the "displayed" radius, and Dark elven spirit of life displays only one unit like it is a hero and not a unit.
