The earlier Sat works. The sunday times work also... my only prob is that sometimes, late notice, the computer needs to be used for more important matters :(

However, this sunday KOM is out...

i suppose i'm available, if anyone needs a sub (my connection will not be bad like last night, for those of you who might have witnessed my 3 crashes in a row last night)

what time is this going at?

Ten minutes ago, GM. But you can certainly sub for me if you can manage to contact Trav or the others.

Ah, well, today it wont be held :(

However, normal start time is 1200PST. We have had some difficulty playing in the last month as some have been absent (whome?).

BUT we are shooting for a LONG session next Sunday that starts at 0800PST to go for hopefully 8 hours?

We have 5 perm players UK, RUS, OE, FRA, USA. Austria would be the best AI nation to play. They have parts of S. Germany and have only lost a few bits of the Balkans.

If you want i'll gladly send you the save... we are starving for new players :)

Um, Lotus, you appear to be forgetting that Austria is a satellite of the Ottoman Empire. :)

Hey ya'll,

Lookin forward to playin Sunday. We should get in a lot of game time. The start time will be 0800 PST. We'll play until ya'll can't take it no more. See ya'll then.

Hi this is Haden I played in the previous Tides of War game for a little while if you remember. I would love to take part in this game and can assure you that my connection and computer are stable and powerful enough to ensure I wouldn't hinder the game at all. I'm on my easter break now and can do any time for 3 weeks. Then I have to go back to Uni where internet accesss is not poss however I come home some weekends so I will be able to carry on on some weekends and you could put my nation under AI control for other times. I then have a huge Summer Holiday where I could play anytime.
All the best Haden.

Hello, I am interesting in playing a game if you need new players, I have loads of free time so it shouldn't be a problem. Don't really care what country I play, but I warn I have had victoria for awhile now, but I just got back into playing it and I am not very exprienced. Anyway my ICQ is ICQ#196020510 (Which I just got) reply on the forum or hit me up with a message if you don't mind another player.

Weekly Game Update

We played at Slow for most of the game with 6 players. We played from December 10 1877 to September 1 1889.

The players this session:
  • King of Men - Ottoman Empire
  • Traveler - USA
  • Robtimus Prime - Russia
  • Kle - France
  • Lotus Lo - United Kingdom
  • Gaius Marius - Austria

Sorry no tech or army figures for ya’ll to crunch this week. I would like to welcome Gaius Marius. GM has played two weekends in a row with us and has done a very fine job of creating tense diplomatic crises. No big wars to speak of, but tensions are growing. We missed Haden and Ambroseburnside. Hopefully next week they will join us.

Finally, I have started a post for our next great adventure. Please go and check it out, here

no point in posting my tech numbers, i haven't got that much tech except culture(austria has not gained a single naval tech since game start for example).

army is a different matter. The previous government left an army of unequipped footsloggers for the most part, though also a good artillery force. In the past few years, that army has been expanded and become well-equipped, with specially trained elite brigades attached to every division. With the re-opening of the imperial war college in Wien, several excellent generals have proven their knowledge of tactics, strategy, and use of firepower, in defense of the fatherland against the vile Romanian invaders, and in extending austrian protection to out catholic brothers in bavaria.

Believe it or not, I posted an AAR update, bringing it up to the end of the Caucasian War. If you don't read it, I shall be most disappointed. I fear the dates from here on are going to be approximate; when was it Russia DOWed me, again?
