Yes, off topic, but very interesting. Amazing how this issue to some degreee mirrors the issue of biblical truth and fallibility that has long been a tension in the Christian realms.

The big difference being, offcourse, that the protestants were MORE bible-thumping than the established order ;)

Anyhow, I too hate many AGCEEP random events, fairly often the scaling goes so far that it just gets annoying. I mean, 2k ducats is laughable, sure, except when you just started building CCs/manus, are at war, or when you are playing MP.

Yeah but there are 3 options and you still don't have to chose the one you can't afford.

Its an event for a ocuntry with 80 or more provinces :p If you cant cough out 2000 ducats :D Then you are either a very bad player or simply stingy :p

Try that when you're 'Spain'* desperately fending off 'Ottoman-French-English'* attacks. 80 provinces you'll have, but 2k ducats not.

(*insert interregnum equivalents, offcourse)

Spain's biggest problems were inflation, and rightly so, they have around 5 to 7 provinces which produced gold.I as Cordoba usually end up with 2 or 3, and by that time, i get governors. This is mostly due to the fact that Mexico has only one to stabalize inflation (or at least, that is the assumption here). It's easy to get cash, even if ur a minor and play your sliders right. :)

it's easy to LOSE cash if you're fighting a serious war. As, say, Brittany or Savoy, you'll likely need a mostly land DP setting, but you'll also need a navy (or the other way around, naval but need army). 22 ducats per 1k cavalry, or 50 ducats for a warship, that can burn through money reserves really quickly in MP...

not so bad as "stingy" - I do not like to destroy my domestic policies or hurt economy... It is not about that there is some problem to survive or economy problem.
