Time limit patch for DV?

The entire GUI is hardcoded, all you can do is add/change shortcut keys to a few (alas not the pause button), and swap images.

I have an odd problem with this.

The game gets to 1 January 1454 and then the date does not change although actions (births/deaths) etc keep happening. Anyone who subsequently dies is shown as, say, 1398-0. My ruler died but still carried on being ruler!

Has anyone else had this problem? I am playing with the TASS mod, I don't know if that makes a difference?

I have this same problem. I'm trying to do a fantasy mod starting in the year 2010, but CK apparently doesn't much like it if you tell it to start in 2010. What will follow is exactly as he stated, the date reverts to 1454 and in my case, a crash will follow.

Is there a solution to this?

I hate to bump as that's not typically something I do, but I'm supposing nobody has an idea of why this occurs. Guess I'll just start in 1010 though I suspect I'll have issues here as well.

Please tell me how to use "ckdv-20081015-ntl-9999.exe".
I can't use it.

1.
I place "ckdv-20081015-ntl-9999.exe" "crusaders.exe" folder.
2.
I execute "ckdv-20081015-ntl-9999.exe".
3.
I browse "crusaders.exe" and patch.
4.
An error message "Sorry, this file can not be patched!" is displayed.

My CKDV is latest version.
I don't use other MOD.

Is it wrong?

Probably being blocked by Windows' UAC feature if you are running Windows 7. If this is the problem you can either install the game outside of Program Files (e.g. C:\Games) or copy the exe file to the desktop or some other unprotected location, patch it, and copy it back.

If you have a Steam version or some other publisher that modifies the exe themselves it also won't work.

Sadly, it doesn't work　because my CKDV is perhaps a Steam version.
my CKDV is "Crusader Kings Complete" CD-ROM.

In fact,
(1)I have no knowledge about MOD.
(2)CKDV is my first paradox game.
(3)I have to use my dictionary for understanding English.

But, I want to play 9999 CKDV .
So, I try to change the exe file by myself.

First,　I try to edit the byte strings manually by a binary editor.

start date: 2A 04 88 5C [0x042A = 1066] -> 01 00 88 5C
end date 1: AE 05 88 5C [0x05AE = 1454] -> 0F 27 88 5C
end date 2: AD 05 00 00 F4 01 [0x05AD = 1453] -> 0E 27 00 00 F4 01

I should be very grateful if you would give me some advice.

I've found "2A 04 88 5C" and changed into "01 00 88 5C".
So, my CKDV "Crusader Kings Complete" desplayed a strange map.

The blessing doesn't come so easily.
