Time not fast forwarding when on max speed.

My friend and I started an MP game and for some reason, the game was not moving forward, instead, it was stuttering, as in the days moving in chunks or bursts, it could be five days at a time, then it would stop for a short while, like it’s trying to catch up, as my friend and I noticed one of us could be behind the other in time, either by 5 to 15 days. Whoever was the host was the only one that could stop the game while to other could do so very rarely. We tried resetting the game, but that didn’t do anything, we decided to have another one of us host it, which remedied the problem, until it happened 100 years later. Note: We both are playing on the Series X, and the problem occurred randomly, from the start of the game to the end.
Console: Xbox Series X
Version: Latest version for consoles
DLC: all that have been released
It keeps happening no matter the save, could be MP issue only.

Normally desyncs can occur, but usually they don't happen until late game when the internal ai is being swamped with calculations

Something you may want to both do is the xbox fix list

I can't guarantee it will solve the problem, but it will determine if the issue is actually a bug, just some data corruption, or something else not covered by this list

1) Uninstall the problematic game/dlc in question
2) Remove your account from the system
3) Reset your alternate mac address [Settings, network, advanced settings, mac address, clear mac address; this will force a system restart]
4) Once the system has restarted, do a "cold start" [i.e. hold the power button down until system has completely shut off]
5) Unplug your system
6) Unplug your internet modem/router [if possible]
7) Wait a few minutes
8) Plug back in your internet modem/router and system
9) Once your internet is back to normal, turn on your system
10) Reinstall the game/dlc
11) See if the issue persists

If there is data corruption that could be causing this issue, it "should" be solved
only other things that could be causing this is your nat types and respective internet connections
