Do you all know, there is one thing that is really funny about having the game running to 1924/25!

We have to include Adolf Hitler's (recognize the name? He plays a major part in original HoI ;) ) failed Beer Hall Putsch of 1923! :D :D :D

..oh how confusing..

The chance should be 'slim' indeed!

Pity that the final start date will be 1/1/14, I'd liked to do some pre-war build-up as in HOI 36-48 scenario.
But that's fine as well.
The end should definitely be 1/1/25 or later (I love long games!:D )

A 1913 event would have been the war in the balkans between Serbia, Bulgaria, Greece and so on, ending with the creation of Albania... but this is too early:(

Keep up the good work!

Yeah i would go for either 1st Jan 1925 or 1926. Anything longer though sounds a bit too much although political wars such as the rising of national socialism in Germany would be interesting to fight :)

BTW about the beer hall putsch. You would need to make sure that it would only trigger if Germany was to loose the war because if Germany was to win or if the war was still going it would be a bit inaccurate because Hitler would either be dead or in a trench somewhere on the western front :p Plus the Kaiser would still be in power making the November criminals non-existent :D

I agree. I wanted to see that too... but never mind :)

Pre-war build up is exactly what the Great Powers were doing in the years before 1914. I doubt there's much a player would want do that the real-life nations hadn't already put in hand... :)

Besides, it's hard enough finding leaders, ministers and OOB information for 1914. If you have a complete and comprehensive source for 1910, feel free to provide the details and we may even change the mod!

I agree, the other problem you would face would be 60 British divisions in 1914, instead of 6!

Indeed, even starting in January gives each player something of an advantage - everyone knows that there is going to be a war later in the year approximately in July/August and are given seven to eight months preparation time.

If anything, the game should start in July, not January.

I say start it in January. However, if beta testing shows that the time period between the beginning of the war and the start of the scenario creates too many gross irregularities we can change it to July.
